I’d love for you to do a crash course video on drugstore skincare for different types of skins! I can’t afford the high end skincare options a lot of TH-camrs talk about. But, I want a good skincare routine!
honestly, take what you watch on TH-cam with a serious grain of salt! less is more :) start with a gentle cleanser, a good spf, and a good moisturizer that works for your skin ... and don't underestimate the power of oil & balm cleansers - the double cleanse saved my skin and is the gentlest way to get makeup off you're face :) simple is best but also remember that genetics are the number 1 reason someone has "good" skin (that and filters lol) ;)
finding out that you use the nyx concealer in light is such a godsend. thats the only base product I've ever felt truly matched my skin, so now I can just reference your matches for other products lol
This is great. My teenage daughter has to do a full face for drill team including lashes. It’s so overwhelming to find what she’s comfortable with. I’m going to share this video with her. Thank you. ❤
I love both the foundation. You can get a actual pump for those foundations. Just look up foundation pump 1 is black but you can also get them in gold.
You and Johnny Ross are my go to gurus on drugstore products. I got started in makeup 2 years ago (at the age of 44) so I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on things that wouldn’t work on my more mature skin. Your videos are so helpful! Thanks Allie!
Allie! I’m a teacher and mom of 3. I haven’t worn makeup all summer. It’s almost back to school time so I needed a refresher. I knew you would be the one to watch. These are my favorite types of videos! Quick, affordable, and easy. Thank you!
I’ve been a makeup lover for years and years but had my 3rd baby 2.5 years ago and basically feel like I’m starting over 😂 The market has changed SO much in the last few years. Tons of new types of products and new brands. I’m also a minimalist so I really appreciate this type of video ❤
Allie would you do a starter high end kit? It would be so helpful to know what is actually worth investing my money in. If im spending more I want it to be goooooood. Thanks Allie!! Love your videos and suggestions!!
I will say, one of the things I liked the most about your last drugstore starter video was how you used affordable tools like the Real Technigues Set bc it felt more relatable 😅
Totally agree with your point about investing in good tools if you can. A bad brush can make the application and appearance of high end products rough, but a good brush can make solid drug store products apply smoothly and appear high end.
My favorite type of videos! I was looking for some new makeup and this came at the right time. Maybelline skin tint broke me out so badly, i have oily and acne prone skin. My favorite foundation is the L'oreal infallible. Works great for me, and you could use less product for more natural look. ❤
I use Loreal skin tint and find the best way to apply it is with my fingers. It works fine with a brush, but something about the warmth from my hands makes it look sooo nice.
Great video!! I would find a video on choosing the right shade of undereye concealer helpful... Perhaps with examples of what the wrong shade looks like and what fhe right shade looks like 😅
Thank you SO much for telling viewers what is and isn’t necessary when starting off in the makeup industry. We need to lessen consumerism, not make it worse 🫶🏻✌🏻 All about a budget baby!!!
Allie! I found your videos in 2020 (of course) when I had the time to get more into makeup. This is so nostalgic from that time. You totally taught me to do makeup. Thanks girl ❤
Love L’Oréal True Match. Sometimes I mix it with foundation and such a nice look. I don’t like the dispenser either. I found some inexpensive pumps on Amazon. Much less messy
interesting! I guess it's very individual but I would definitely add a good mascara (drug store of course!) and a nice one-and-done eye shadow (something like I think they're revlon? cream to powder pots ... they're great & super beginner friendly!). personally, I'm a makeup minimalist, don't own even a powder, just concealer, bronzer, blush, and a lot of lip products lol but when I do want something a little fancy I always add a one & done shadow pot & mascara ;)
I don't watch you very consistently, but every time I do, I'm like "yep, yess, exactly, 100%". So I can completely trust your recommendations ❤ A word of warning to the beginners out here: tapping on your face with the sponge after applying the setting spray is a dangerous move. You might ruin your foundation. I think the success of the move depends on the softness of a makeup sponge you use. If it's not soft enough, beware.
Allie I would love to see a video “if I lost all my makeup” and what you’d go out and purchase first, high end and drugstore combined! ❤ it would be super interesting and our makeup tastes are so similar, I’d love to see what you picked
Whoa! Thank you so much for that little brow tutorial! That was super helpful ❤ Also, your love and support in the beginning of the video was so sweet.😊
You're never alone. Positive thoughts and prayers being sent your way. Glad this video brings comfort. Makeup is really a small investment with a big pay off. It helps to lift our mood. Take care 🙋
Hi Allie, I just received all 3 new colors of your lipstick. They are so beautiful I can't wait to wear them! I don't know if its possible but they might be prettier then the first 3. Love your videos !
I have makeup sponge questions. Are you using one wet to press in your makeup or dry? Do you wash your sponges and if so how often? How often do you replace them? Thank you!
Allie great video! I like most of the brands you used. I do have a question. Do you have to wet the make blender? It seems it would take the makeup off. Thank you for all your suggestions and inspiration. ❤
Yes the color of the kislux is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
I wore makeup from 13-27, full face from 15-27 yrs old. Then for the last 9 years have been makeup-free. Last year I started wearing under eye concealer and mascara but only here and there. At some point, I hope to have a makeup bag full of makeup. I am SO comfortable going out makeup free. I am in my mid-late 30s now. Before I stopped wearing makeup I was wearing mostly Chanel and Maybelline. Now… now I don’t know what I am doing! Haven’t even TRIED to find foundation. That is a task I just cannot tackle. I miss Chanel’s cream compact foundation! Remember when cream compact foundations were popular like a decade ago??? I miss that foundation era!
Unfortunately the L’Oréal tinted serum didn’t work for me, very drying maybe because alcohol denat. Is very high on the list of ingredients, 3rd place I believe…so not that good for dry skin! But the NYX concealer is amazing! Thanks for all your tips and suggestions!😊
Love drugstore tutorials!!!! Allie what was the brush you used for powder. Also MY THREE NEW EFFORTLESS LIPS JUST ARRIVED!!! So excited!!🎉🎊🎉🎊🎊🎉🎉🎊🎊 thanks Allie!
So here's the video I think would be SO interesting..... I feel like makeup has evolved so much over the years, to where high end almost seems "silly" bc you can find such affordable dupes. Or we find out more and more through the availability of information online about how a lot of drugstore and high-end makeup is made in some of the same labs. All of that being said.... I think a super interesting video would be high end makeup that's ACTUALLY worth it. Like, the high end makeup that just doesn't have a close dupe. Just an idea 😊 Love everything you put out no matter what!
Hey Allie! Do you have any recommendations for unscented or very low scent products? As someone with migraines, I can't seem to find good drugstore makeup that isn't strongly scented. Especially lip products.
Yes ty Every month the changes from product product but what are the actual all you need items from the drugstore that aren’t sponsored but your truly believe in
Have you found a foundation that is similar to physicians formula healthy foundation? That was my favorite forever! I have been using infallible pro glow and love the coverage but it's not quite the same.
How is your face so amazing and clear? Please tell me what skin care products you wear and have been wearing for the longest! I need to get skincare products because I don’t have any and your skin is so pretty. My skin is just kind of dry, I don’t have acne or anything. I do have sun damage that kind Of look like freckles.
What shirt do you have on? Do you know one of any all in one products? Such as a palette that has shadows, blush, highlighter, bronzer or contour.? To help minimize products while traveling?
I tried a lipgloss today and I'm so used to bold mattes that this looks too shiny lol. This would've been great for when I started doing makeup in march but I will absolutely be back when I try and figure out bronzer
please, please i think it’s time to update the according to you series! this time with swatches and more categories like lip oil, cream/liquid bronzer, cream/liquid blush, setting spray, single eyeshadow or one and done eyeshadow… ❤
Our Primer-Infused Matte Blush looks amazing on you! 💖 We can't wait to see you rock our Camo Liquid Blush next! 😍
Elf?!?! Love ur brand 🎉
I love the Elf liquid poreless putty primer
Hi ELF!!
I think you guys over there are knocking all of your products out of the park
*gasp* Senpai!?!
I’m excited about the spf lip products!
I’d love for you to do a crash course video on drugstore skincare for different types of skins! I can’t afford the high end skincare options a lot of TH-camrs talk about. But, I want a good skincare routine!

Raw shea butter is my favorite moisturizer for face and body ❤

Amazing! And lucky ! Good news 👏👏👏
I would love it if you did a video on drugstore skincare/ skin prep! My makeup tends to sit on the skin and I need help with the prep part!
The Elf Ultra Precise Brow Pencil is FABULOUS!! If you haven't tried it, you should. Plus, it's only $6.
I switched out for a pump I already owned. It helped a little
Love this! Could you do an advanced version of the drugstore kit, such as eyeshadow, eyeliner, and contour? Thanks!
You and Johnny Ross are my go to gurus on drugstore products. I got started in makeup 2 years ago (at the age of 44) so I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on things that wouldn’t work on my more mature skin. Your videos are so helpful! Thanks Allie!
Same! (39)
Me too! Well restarting at the age of 51 lol.. I haven’t worn makeup in over 20 years!
Same! 65!!!
I love this, if you have a deeper skintone than Allie, the Elf blush in always rosy is beautiful for tan and brown skinned boy and gals.
Allie! I’m a teacher and mom of 3. I haven’t worn makeup all summer. It’s almost back to school time so I needed a refresher. I knew you would be the one to watch. These are my favorite types of videos! Quick, affordable, and easy. Thank you!

Second this 😊
Yes!

Love that natural look. Always love drugstore recommendations as high end is out of a lot of people’s reach, including mine.
I use Loreal skin tint and find the best way to apply it is with my fingers. It works fine with a brush, but something about the warmth from my hands makes it look sooo nice.
Great video!! I would find a video on choosing the right shade of undereye concealer helpful... Perhaps with examples of what the wrong shade looks like and what fhe right shade looks like 😅
I’d love to see a series that is four seasons - budget and high ends! Fall faves, winter looks, etc 😊
I love this video! I'd love to see a video where someone has mastered the basics and is looking to elevate their look to the next level.
Love Essence highlighter. It is the best!
Appreciate budget friendly recommendations! Thank you!
A focus cruelty free would be great.
Kelly Gooch reviews only cruelty-free products. 🐰
Just shared with my grand daughter as shes just starting out with make up 😊
Thank you SO much for telling viewers what is and isn’t necessary when starting off in the makeup industry. We need to lessen consumerism, not make it worse 🫶🏻✌🏻 All about a budget baby!!!
I found Revlon's Rosy Rendezvous blush this year and it goes with every look. Beautiful ❤
One of my faves tooo, I actually used one up and repurchased it 😅❤
Love this! So helpful! An updated wedding guest/bridesmaid makeup video would be amazing too!
Love the TirTir Milk Toner [huge bottle too!] & TirTir Ceramic Ampoule as well! Great skincare! 🤠
PLEASE do a high end kit that's drugstore budget if U can. Would LOVE that!!
Ditto!!! Awesome idea Songbird :)
That might be challenging
I love seeing drugstore. Not all of are wealthy

Emily noel did a video today kind of like that
Allie you are the older sister I’ve always wanted! Thanks for helping & teaching me how to do my makeup!❤
Been actually looking for good drugstore recommendations so this video came just in time!!! ❤
Lovely soft look. Good inexpensive products
Allie! I found your videos in 2020 (of course) when I had the time to get more into makeup. This is so nostalgic from that time. You totally taught me to do makeup. Thanks girl ❤
Happy Tuesday y'all 😊🎉
Elf also has great brushes! Love the recs 😍😍
Love L’Oréal True Match. Sometimes I mix it with foundation and such a nice look. I don’t like the dispenser either. I found some inexpensive pumps on Amazon. Much less messy
Great to have an updated set of drugstore gems - thank you, Allie!! 💖
I love the revlon powder blush & in that shade. It's my fav of all my blushes.
Heyyyyy! I love some good drugstore makeups ☺️
I love the NYX lip liner 🥰
interesting! I guess it's very individual but I would definitely add a good mascara (drug store of course!) and a nice one-and-done eye shadow (something like I think they're revlon? cream to powder pots ... they're great & super beginner friendly!).

Allie PLEASE try the Lash Next Door mascara!! It’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever used and it would look phenomenal on you!
Whoa! Thank you so much for that little brow tutorial! That was super helpful ❤ Also, your love and support in the beginning of the video was so sweet.😊
Going through a season of major physical and mental pain and it’s helpful getting to watch your videos❤
I hope things get better for you soon 🙏🏽 makeup videos have gotten me through some tough times too… Big hugs x

I have makeup sponge questions. Are you using one wet to press in your makeup or dry? Do you wash your sponges and if so how often? How often do you replace them? Thank you!
Your eyelashes are simply gorgeous!
Allie great video! I like most of the brands you used. I do have a question. Do you have to wet the make blender? It seems it would take the makeup off. Thank you for all your suggestions and inspiration. ❤
it must be damp :)
This video is brightening the day for many. Thanks for sharing
Great video! Adding to my playlist for makeup beginners
Thank you!! Very helpful! Ideas for mature skin?

What would you recommend for broken capillaries? I have some on my chin that really stand out.
Hi Allie! Love this video❤ can you do one but with high end makeup for beginners??
Hi Allie! True Match skin serum rocks! Such a good product! Anxiously awaiting Peony to hit my mailbox❤
Awesome video! Thank you 😊
Thank you for this!! Eyeshadow pallet starter kit would be great :)
You look beautiful!! Great video.
Do you have tips on how to pick foundation color without opening package.
Hey Allie! Such a good video! I love your tee that you’re wearing. Where did you get it? 😊
Nice one! It gives me plenty of ideas for my new makeup purchases….❤
Beautiful🎉 very helpful love the tips 🍂
I would love to see how to incorporate blue and green eye shadows into my makeup routine.
Allie I've been trying to figure out your undertone but I think the lights are making it difficult are you cool or neutral? X
this video was so refreshing ❤

Thanks, Allie, for a great video! 😃
14:21 on the blush I would have applied both, the darker of the 2 towards the hairline and the elf to the mid cheek.
Great intro and video Allie!
I tried a lipgloss today and I'm so used to bold mattes that this looks too shiny lol. This would've been great for when I started doing makeup in march but I will absolutely be back when I try and figure out bronzer
Always great videos!! ❤❤😊😊
High end/sephora minimal kit version pleeeeease 😊😅
Hi Allie I love your videos can you please do a updated wedding makeup using drugstore Makeup pls 🫶🏼🫶🏼
please, please i think it’s time to update the according to you series! this time with swatches and more categories like lip oil, cream/liquid bronzer, cream/liquid blush, setting spray, single eyeshadow or one and done eyeshadow… ❤
Can you share brushes and sponges and how to use them
I have a question, do you have any tips for those who only have sight in one eye in applying eye makeup?
