fantastic, I've done about 100 laps at sonoma, i started at 2:20, now I'm at 1:56, , some of those were in my 997.1 s tiptronic now in my 991.1 s pdk , need better seats or simply get a gt3 with the buckets, semon will get out and do 3 sessions maybe 30 laps behind the instructor as in intro
Nice man. What tires u using? I was there with my mustang last week. Almost break into the 40s too. You were flying! And fyi. Nascar qualyfing btw 38 and 42...
Nice driving Joe!, 1:44.8 with traffic in front of you between T7 and T11 made you back down quite a bit. Seems that the GT3RS is making up a lot of time at trackout, mid corner speeds are about the same as your previous Spyder at most of the lower speed turns since it is predicated by mechanical grip. That been said the entry speed into the esses was insane, noticed that you had to back down a lot ;). I would expect that your will be in the 1:42's in no-time. Crazy dude from So-cal used to do 1:42 on a black 996GT3 with slicks back in the day. Have you reduced ride height on the RS?
twoslow2speed2000 , good to hear from you! Ride height is stock. I only made one sway bar adjustment and camber is set at -2.5 all around. Looking at the data, I’m losing .2 seconds at t10 and another .2 at t8 because I’m backing off too much. Another .2 seconds at t5 from backing off the throttle. Another .3 seconds from traffic at the end. I’m aiming for 1:43 next time. 1:42 can be done, but not sure by me
Excellent work. I hope to drive my new older 911 Turbo with some pace at least faster than my 01 Boxster S. Lol. Some snarky comments at the bottom here...hmm. maybe joking...
I managed to pull a 2:03 out of my ass on a stock 997.2 GTS on my first time at Sonoma with OEM Pirelli Pzero tires Do you have any pointers on where I can make up time?
Sonoma is such a beast track, hard work but also glorious.
Sonoma is on my bucket list of tracks! Mega!
The way the engine and transmission function flawlessly regardless of situation or duration is next level.
Glad that Cayman driver saw you at t11. That made me cringe a little. LoL. Nice lap.
Gorgeous
I was racing at Sonoma when it was still called Infineon Raceway. 😉
Dude. You’re fast as hell. Very very aggressive but decisive throttle application
Those thumbs... the driving... I'd love to hsve a beer with this guy and talk shop

1:50 This isn't how you drive in HPDE.
Driver didn't get a point by either. Could have ended badly if the Cayman turned in unknowingly.
from another POV, you shouldn't be doing 1:44s in HPDE1 or 2. whose fault is it running into slow drivers?
Nice!

Take a shit before you go out on track, plus going commando will drop 3 pounds from the car 🤙
How confident through the carousel?
Big left hand turn and a long straight, lot of people underestimate it.
1.7 g's oh my god
This is a textbook driving. People should learn from it.
Track record 1:23 in a shifter cart
1;38.3 in a stock Viper ACR hahaha
Pathetic. I got 1:27 in a formula hybrid
