- This is Chotu. He's already 15 years old and is suffering from Hyperthyroidism which makes him so skinny. He's also badly matted as unfortunately, no other Groomers are willing to accept him as he gets aggressive.
In the video you will hear the Owner explaining about Chotu's situation and medical issues.
Chotu had to see the Vet after the Grooming, was given treatments and home medications.
I am trying to raise funds to buy a new set of quiet clippers for the Cats I groom..People seems to hate the noise of the one's I am currently using 😂. I'm accepting any donation 👇👇👇

@@mdjb49 I think she had more pain than fear. Her skin was so thin and tender. I felt so sad for her.
The hyperthyroidism has really taken it's toll on this poor cat. It is so wonderful that he has such a kind groomer. I don't think the owner and her parents truly understood how sick he was until all of the mats were off and things could be seen.
🫶🏻 🫶🏻 🫶🏻 🫶🏻 🫶🏻
For those being so hard on the owner, she said that the vet told her that cat has a thyroid issue that’s why it’s so skinny and is on medication for it. It’s very common for cats, at this age, and to have kidneys as well. She’s also tried really hard to get the cat groomed, but nobody would take her until this kind man.. so the owner is doing everything she can for the cat.

@@Sophiamia6960 you seem very gullible and just believe everything someone says ? Obviously a responsible person owner would never have their pet in that condition.
@@latinasforthewin4274
The owner admitted that she hadn't been around him for some time as her parents were housing him. She also mentioned, several times, that he had gotten very thin. He was resistant to being handled because the matting was so hard against his skin, so she finally took him to someone more qualified to handle him.
I believe that her care for him has been sporadic, at best, but he needed more.
(I also don't believe that calling another commenter gullible was necessary, as this is an emotional video, to be honest...)
@@dawnfunck8928 😂😂😂 bless your heart
@@latinasforthewin4274 OK, I get it... my family is from the south as well.... LOL
Please don't Judge the owners quickly. Her cat is already 15 years old and is suffering from Hyperthyroidism. I genuinely felt she/ they tried their best to take care of Chotu but due to certain circumstances, like Other groomers turns him down for grooming is the main cause of the mats. I'm just glad I met this Cat and I WILL TRY MY BEST TO GET AN UPDATE from the owners 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏. THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING SO WONDERFUL AND TRULY CARES ABOUT THE WELFARE OF THESE ANIMALS/ COMPANIONS. My 11 year old cat has had baths and enjoyed them her whole life till this past year when she hit 10. I literally trained this cat to be okay with baths. I chalked it up to age and being in an uncomfortable position. I have no choice but to give her monthly baths since she developed skin issues.
If this had been in the description in the beginning, your video might not have gotten so many mean, uneducated comments.
Oh wow poor baby so skinny. If it's hyperthyroidism then the metabolism is too fast. No matter how much they eat it just burns off. I should be so lucky. 😂 Kidding aside, this happened to a coworker. It happens to humans as well.
This cat is ill and needs vet care asap. Thank you for your kindness.
🫶🏻 🫶🏻 🫶🏻 🫶🏻 🫶🏻
Thank you for taking the time to care for this cat. Hopefully the owner will get it help and care better for him for the time he has left on this earth.
@@ruthjohnson6369🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏
Yeah, he’s not OK. How the video is doing seems a tad bit higher up on the scale.
This poor baby. Th8s cat needs a VET not a groomer!
He is so calm and attentive to the cat's feelings. Kitty is uncomfortable and probably scared and this groomer is gentle and talks calmly and softly to hom. I'll bet previous groomers never gave the cat that much respect, caring or comfort
🫶🏻 🫶🏻 🫶🏻
That was really hard to watch. My goodness. It went from being so impressed with your cat handling skills to being so shocked with his neglected condition. Poor thing. I hope he is finally getting some proper care . Thank you so much for him . ❤
This type of video can be an eye opener to everyone to always check on their furbabies. Unfortunately for this particular cat, although i cannot totally say that the owners neglected him, i just feel sorry for him and the circumstances he had to go through.
@Thecalmcatgroomer I agree. Although the condition of his mouth was definitely obvious =/
👍🏼
Poor old kitty. You were so zen with him.❤ The heavy glove helped act like a weighted blanket.
🧡
Your kindness and professionalism is greatly appreciated 🙏 The cat could possibly have hyperthyroidism because of its advanced age and skinny appearance. The owner should definitely get some blood tests done asap. My 16 year old cat went very skinny and recovered very quickly once on medication (he now looks and acts much healthier). Unfortunately this poor old boy looks like he’s suffering from neglect too 😢 Thank you so much for sharing even though this was very upsetting to watch x
🫶🏻
Thank you for being so gentle and patient with Chotu. I see a lot of negative comments, but I have to say caring for an older cat is always challenging. It’s easy to judge from behind a screen, but people never know the full situation. Cats hide their pain very well and dealing with new health problems is always hard. Obviously a 15 year old cat is going to look a little rough and having thyroid issues doesn’t help any. Chotu’s owner is doing what she can to make Chotu more comfortable and give him the help and care he needs.
Best of luck to Chotu and Chotu’s family!

If you're a pet owner who has let your pet get to this condition, but are too embarrassed and ashamed to have them helped, kindly take the judgements you will receive and get your furbabies the help they need.
Thank you❤
In fairness with the owner of Chotu, I felt that they did their best to take care of the cat. Regarding the coat condition, I would say it's because they didn't found a groomer soon enough that would not just give up on Chotu and kept him as a regular grooming client. Chotu is still under medication, they just need to be careful of not letting his fur grow so long, as he is not able to groom himself anymore.
@Thecalmcatgroomer Cool cool. I was more focused on ppl watching this and reading the comments and choosing not to help their fur babies out of embarrassment and shame from the potential of being judged.
🫶🏻 🫶🏻 🫶🏻 🫶🏻 🫶🏻
It is the pet owner's fault. The cat should have been treated from the first signs of problem! It is so skinny because couldn't eat , it had a sore mouth - the injury was awful!
Poor cat! They never tried to groom the cat, or go to the vet to check it's health😥
Shame on them !😠
😢😢😢
Wow super impressed. You showed super compassion, calmness and knowledge. Any animal that is one of your clients is extremely lucky.

Yes I agree I wish we had him

You are so patient with that poor old boy 💖. I don't think he's so much aggressive as he is ill and painful from those matts pulling on his delicate skin. I'm glad there's a doctor on hand that can see to his wounds and hopefully give him a little pain relief ❤️🩹
❤️
After the way it was relayed about Chotu's past experience with groomers, it was wonderful to finally see him with you. I could sense your compassion and love for this cat. His growling and hissing was almost just a comical grumble towards the end. I say "almost" because he was obviously in pain, but he was definitely calming down. I hope his owner will keep bringing him to you. You were well on your way to a good relationship with Chotu! 👏❤️

You gotta be one of the best veterinarian clinic I have ever seen. You groomed this cat with such ease. All these hateful comments about the owner, but i am very happy that she brought him in. Thank you for immediately telling her "yeah I can groom him" and proceeding to perform magic. Wow, simply the best
Thank you so much. 🙏
The internet is harsh. She said she has a vet, took him, diagnosed him, he’s old, and she’s tried other groomers. Why be mean or say redundant things like “She has to take him to the vet!” Or “There’s NO excuse!” Did you see the beginning of the video? Or did you just skip to the grooming?
I’m glad Chotu got help for his fur and that his owner cares enough to help him this way.

Nice to see an understanding comment among the many mean, hateful statements from people who know nothing about hyperthyroidism in cats or how difficult it is to treat.
The sad thing is that more and more people are having cats that develop hyperthyroidism due to many pet manufacturers adding toxic sodium selenite to their pet food formulas in response to a 2016 recommendation by AAFCO to add selenium.
@@GoddessDestinova indeed we feed our animals real food, raw chicken, hamburger, beef, fish and are surprised it's cheaper and they love it. Also our cat doesn't go potty in a litter box, she asks to go outside, learned how 2 accomplished this from my Greek mother a cat lover as my pops and I were dog livers. Now we have a cat raised by our beloved dog who passed as his final gift to us , he trained her well and embodies the best traits of both species. If a white Shepherd and black cat can love one another wtf is wrong with humans? Anyways she is literally cat dog 🐾 🐕 😂. Ah the simplicity of truly noble sentient beings, perhaps there's hope for us yet? Peace and blessings yall stay funny and remember to care for one another like Ghost and Suicide Kitty!

I’m impressed. I’ve been a groomer for about 30 years now. I’m almost 70 and still at it. I do very few cats anymore. I actually ran into an exact situation like this years ago and it’s heartbreaking. Cats with hyper and hypothyroidism usually have coat and skin issues making it hard for the owners. You handle him very well.
🫶🏻
Just wondering--when you groom animals, do you pull large scabs off, causing the animal to bleed, and exposing them to the risk of infection? Or do you leave that for a vet to deal with? Just wondering what a 30+ yr groomer does.
@ I don’t pull off bad scabs, I’ll refer the client to the vet. If it’s a well-healed scab I might ease it off, but anything red or oozing needs to see the vet.
Thank you for helping this poor kitty. You are very calm & patient & did a great job. I'm sure they feel a bit better without all the painful mats.
Bigger issue is the hyperthyroidism & it's mouth. The thyroid issue is easily treatable with daily meds. My kitty was on methimazole for many years & he gained his weight back & lived a happy life. I hope they get their kitty the needed treatment 🥺

I think aside from having hyperthyroidism, the cat's decaying teeth is what's also stopping it from eating well. I hope Chotu gets her teeth checked!

We have rescued out door cats. One has only one eye. She is long hair and did not groom herself. We tried everything... Finally we kept cutting the matts a little at a time until she started grooming herself. A lot of things are very traumatic to animals making them very hard to handle.
You are awesome with animals!
🫶🏻 🫶🏻 🫶🏻 🫶🏻 🫶🏻 🫶🏻 🫶🏻
I think this cat is very calm for its age and health conditions.
I love that you used the gloves as a calming weight/happy Hoodia.

This grooming restored my faith in groomanity.
Awww.. God bless you 🙏
This was so useful to watch, thank you. My own special needs rescue cat is very aggressive about being touched, apart from her head and back. Even after having her for 10 years, when she sits on my lap, if I put my arm near her, she will sometimes attack it, even though I'm the one in the family she wants to snuggle up with the most. Now she is elderly, she needs a lot more help with grooming. We don't know her history but from her behaviour, we suspect she was abused before she was found as a stray in a terrible state, so is very defensive. We used to take her to the vet every few months for grooming, and even they had to give her general anaesthetic to do anything with her (describing her as very feisty even when sedated). The last time we took her they told us they couldn't risk anaesthesia any more as she wasn't coping well with it. So we HAD to find ways of grooming her ourselves to help her stay comfortable and healthy. Even with holding at the scruff of the neck, she is often frightened if we try to groom her anywhere other than her back and head,, spitting, biting, scratching and thrashing about, despite our efforts to keep her calm, and staying calm and soothing with her, which is traumatic for her as an old lady, and we worry that the stress we are causing her is doing her harm 😢 This video has shown us a few more techniques we can try with her that might help us to help her feel calmer, so thank you 😊
Good luck and all the best 🫶🏻
People are quick to call abuse, hut hyperthyroidism makes a cat extremely skinny, even with medication. And teeth issues are hard to deal with especially if you don't have access to vet dental care... You did a wonderful job with Chotu... Hopefully he'll be feeling better soon with medication and no more matting
🫶🏻 🫶🏻 🫶🏻 🫶🏻 🫶🏻
Thank you ❤
On the subject of aggression and abuse: cats tend to lash out (growling, hissing, biting, etc) when they are scared or in pain. He’s clearly in pain. Previous groomers and the owner might not have known how to properly handle him (gently, with patience, and extra mindful of his fragile skin). Cats can be intimidating and difficult (won’t let you brush them or touch their paws, regularly grooming them yourself is impossible), but they aren’t mean just to be mean, so any kind of aggression should be seen as communication that something is wrong, or indication of past trauma. His owner clearly knew something was wrong and was trying to help him. I don’t think they would have taken him over and over to get groomed if they didn’t care about his wellbeing. They even said they could bring him back for multiple sessions if it caused less stress to him. Maybe they were doing the best they could under the circumstances. In my experience, it can be hard to find a competent groomer for cats (Yeah, I’m looking at you Petsmart 😐), and vets won’t always do it when the issue is matting. I’m just glad he finally got the help he needed.
That was a really fair and unbiased way of seeing it. A little compassion goes a long way! ❤
This is heartbreaking ❤ That poor kitty is at a point in his life where it should be all the tuna and shrimp it can eat, while being cuddled on a warm lap, with wonderful kitty scritches for as long as he wants!

What a beautiful job you did. He can now be seen by the vet. Hated to see all the cuts and how skinny he was. Maybe past grooms that went bad 😢 Hope he can get the proper meds for his condition and live more peacefully. Awww poor baby. Glad the owner found you.

This looks more like neglect than the cat having a bunch of health issues

I would have to agree with this statement.

My cat lived 21 years. Some people don’t realize how much care an elderly cat needs around the clock everyday.
This cat is way too neglected and probably in so much pain from various reasons. I’m sure he’s also not eating well with his mouth hurting. It’s so hard seeing any animal in this condition. 😢
I think the lady mentioned the cat lives with her parents and she doesn’t live with them. I’m glad she’s trying to get the cat help. I just hope it’s not too late.

Can you do a follow-up on Chotu? I feel so terrible for him but hope his owner is giving him a better quality of life 😢
I will try my best. 🙏
You're kindness, and commitment to this cat's comfort was the most beautiful thing I've watched in a long time. I could be wrong but I don't think that cat has hyperthyroidism I think that cat has horrible dental issues and it has not been eating correctly. Unfortunately once they are elderly like this it is very hard to get the weight back on. I hope that they pay closer attention to his care. A lot of neglect going on there. I am so glad she brought him to you so you could help him. You were blessed with a great gift. It was so touching watching this video.
You're so kind. Thank you. Regarding the Hyperthyroidism, I'm not sure as well as no paper work was presented, non the less i hope this cat gets to live for more years.
This cat deserves a better owner. There is no excuse for it to get this bad. This cat needs to go to a better home who can provide proper care! This really breaks my heart 💔

It's so hard to care for an animal in general, but if it has a medical condition on top of being old it can get to a point of no return. I'm glad you've been able to help.
The cat sounded like a grumpy old man 😅, bothered but not overly aggressive.

It seems like the owner cared about her cat but she wasnt looking after him her parents were. Either they didnt bother or were unable to care for him?? He should he removed from their care and given to an ethical rescue to nurse back to health and the vet bill given to the owner to pay. You are an amazing groomer.

I was holding my breathe the whole time you were trimming. I hope the cat is okay. You did a great job and so loving toward him.
Thank you so much ❤️
There are 2 skills I’ve learned in order to make sure I can help the ones I love. And that is grooming and caregiving.
I also was a rare groomer who knew how to handle old, young, and aggressive dogs and cats. Most groomers will not take a cat if it is in any way fighting back because they don’t “NEED” to. Especially mobile groomers. They usually pick and choose their clients to where their job is super easy.
It is extremely rare for a groomer to be patient enough to work with animals like this and I was just like this and it makes me happy to see you are like me and don’t give up so easily. This cat needed you ❤
We are TRULY RARE ❤️❤️❤️
You did an amazing job! Beyond that I just don’t have words, I just hope someone takes that poor baby to the vet next. 22:45

Has this cat’s health improved since? 🙏🏻
I hope, since i haven't heard anything back from the owner.
This poor baby needs to be removed from this abusive owner. Please don't send this poor kitty back to that owner. This is outright neglect and abuse.

This makes me so sad…the fact that this cat was considered “aggressive” by its owners, yet, he had medical reasons - he was in pain!!! People…know your pet…their whole body…from tip to tail and everything in between!! This groomer is fantastic…what a gift he gave this cat! 💞🐾💞
The vets refused to treat cause he’s aggressive. But they are in a hurry to turn and burn. Profit over care. Not the owners fault. But he desperately needs vet care. But the question is how if he can’t be sedated. Oral tooth extraction is very painful without being sedated. Poor baby. 😢
From what she said it was the other groomers who wouldn't take him that said he was too aggressive for them to groom.
@@stacy.lapine27The cat was turned down by groomers, not vets. You did not even listen to what the owner said...
I have a 14-yo ragdoll mix and needed help from the vet to groom as she got older, even though I do all she will let me do at home. Please don’t judge so harshly unless you can successfully do what he demonstrated at home. Mine was not that bad, but I could only do so much at a time and needed help too. She got help for her pet! That’s a good mom. And tried to care for him with his illness. It’s a big deal when they can no longer be put under. Clearly a pro needed to handle this, and they tried with other groomers, if you read the title. Sheesh. Wonderful human, this groomer. Well done!!

So many negative comments. Thank you for helping him. Also, I find that there is no way the woman would be taking him in if she was in fact neglectful. He is 8yrs old plus hyperthyroidism. I am about in tears. Hypothyroidism makes the cat do that. The skin becomes itchy and they scratch it to the point of losing skin.
My late cat was doing that. I can immediately that this cat is very ill. Watch for seizures.
🙏🙏🙏
This points out something people need to take seriously. Don't bring home a pet if you don't have the finances or time to care for them, especially as they age. Older pets tend to have more medical needs, and often more serious ones, and vet bills can be shocking. My cockatiel had an infection (she's 16), the first time in her life that she got sick, and the examination, X-rays, bloodwork and medication cost me $900, which I split between 2 credit cards. Ongoing medication for pain (we discovered she had fractured a wing during the fits she had while sick) cost another $50. My 16 year old dog developed pancreatitis at the end of his life. After hundreds of dollars of vet visits and treatments, I then had to pay $200 to put him to sleep because he was in so much pain. I wish more people understood that animals are not toys. They're a lot like having kids, except their lifespan is much shorter compared to a healthy child, and they are dependent on you for their entire life. (Yes, some human children are, too.)
🙏
She’s an old lady. Old ladies don’t like to be touched much. She doesn’t seem that aggressive. More like she just wants to be left alone. She’s being so good. She is not being cared well. She is so skinny. You are a miracle worker. Thank you!

The moment you accept the responsibility for caring for an animal, you become that animals caretaker. Just as you would a child, the elderly, and the disabled. Food, liquids, shelter, health, affection, and stimulation are mandatory basics. This broke my heart.
The groomer was amazing. ❤

Apologies for the essay.
This is an unfortunate situation, it seems as though they owner did her best to care for her beloved Chotu, but it sounds to me she had to leave him in the care of her parents for extended periods of time, judging by her saying "Now I am back so I want to get this solved for him." It makes me wonder how many of the groomer visits he's had where it was her parents trying to bring him in, not armed eith the same knowledge she might've had. She sounds genuinely worried for him, and like she wants to do better for him, and I choose to believe her when she says she will. I mean, she took him to a veterinary groomer and paid for his medication. They might be bare minimum for animal care, but it still shows a dedication and love to do those things. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt, and we also don't know about her parents either, and whether they maybe just weren't in the right condition to care for pets but it was her only option, it could genuinely be a lot of reasons for why poor Chotu ended up in this condition. I just hope seeing his wounds caused by the mats will be a wake up call for her to pay more attention to his needs, and prioritize his comfort more. I myself know that mats are obviously a bad experience, but I certainly didn't always know they could actually pull at the skin and cause pain, or even tears. I also didn't own pets at this time either, but I think it's important to give others grace and educate when we can, which is precisely what you did for her. You were kind when you spoke to her, and reasurred her that you would help Chotu, which seemed to be the main concern for her.
Speaking of you, the way you handled Chotu actually almost brought a tear to my eye. You were swift, obviously knowing the job had to be done, yet still took your time to make sure Chotu was comfortable. Even as you slid him all over the place LOL, your movements were always gentle. It was also so sweet that you noticed his wants, and allowed him to hide under the gloves, which I actually think helped him a bit! Whether he actually felt like he was hiding, just enjoyed the feeling of safety, or noticed you offering him a safe space which put him at ease, you really do work wonderfully with him, and I really think you helped him feel more comfortable. I'm sure those mats were causing him a lot of pain and discomfort, and it could very well be the reason he is so swatty, or doesn't let his owner touch him either. It probably just hurts. You were kind with him the whole time, letting him take out his frustrations and always speaking to him softly. I really admire that. If I had kind groomers like you around me, I would have way less anxiety taking my pets in. You have such a reliable aura to you, and I hope you know you are really making a difference in these animals lives, and probably their owner's too. Thank you for this. You're hard work is so appreciated ❤️
I enjoyed reading your whole essay 😂. Everything you wrote is on point. People has different point of views and unfortunately not only on the internet but all over the world that's why people are all divided and there is hate everywhere.
Regarding Chotu, I know a lot of people who will see this video would ask for an update on him but unfortunately, I am not able to get a reply from the owners anymore. Probably she had left again or something and I don't want to go into disturbing her parents to get an update. I just hope Chotu gets to live more, and i hope whoever takes care of him, makes sure to give all the medical attention that he needs.
I agree! I felt she was rushing to get him seen to before she again left. Could be college who knows. Obviously, her parents aren’t seeing to his care. She should find a better living situation for him. I have much experience but this guys mouth infection alone can you imagine the pain? Exotics nearly always have serious dental issues…but at least he had help this day, and would feel better.
This groomer is da bomb!!!
You seem like a kind person. I'm wondering if you saw the parts of the video where this groomer, without owner or vet permission, pulled off large scabs, causing bleeding and exposing the poor, already-sick cat to infection. I would never take any animal to a groomer that does that.
@@_papad8434 This groomer is located in a veterinary office. I learned this through the comments as I was unfamiliar with this channel beforehand. From what was said, Chotu was groomed and then immediately received medical attention from the vets in the same building. I totally understand why you were concerned though, because I as well would not let a regular groomer tug around at my pet's injuries. I hope it can comfort you in knowing that Chotu was groomed and treated by professionals, especially those who seem to really love the animals they see. It certainly warmed my heart.
@@_papad8434Yeah, I too knew that the cat was immediately going to the vet. I also think the scabs were mostly off already. A cat’s saliva is healing, much more so than scabs that are so old. Dirty. But I get your concern, and I did think about before. This cat has just really been neglected. It’s hard to watch! ❤
Thanks for being so kind to this owner and cat.
You’re welcome! We all need a little kindness and understanding sometimes.
It's really sad that the cat got to this point unintentional neglect 😢 it seems. I'm so glad you helped make Chotu's life better.
Im also glad the owner found you and brought him in

Precious Kitty... Thank you for your kindness..

The cat has the look of "in the process of dying" I hate to say that but I've seen that look quite a few times. ;(😢
😥😥😥
That's what cat hyperthyroidism looks like. Google it.
You’re the greatest !!! Kitty really needs medical help!!! You did amazing with the grooming!
🙏🙏🙏
❤ the groomer was amazing and patient. The cat was very good also, I bet this old fella feels so much better. I hope he doesn't have cancer😢
🙏
You did an excellent job, and this fur baby needs a human that really cares for him at this advanced stage of his life.

Whoa! That poor baby. He needed to be shaved long ago. It’s terrible all that matting was so close to the skin and pulling. That was causing him so much pain as well as wounds. So glad you were able to get so far with him. He has to feel amazing after that.
🙏🙏🙏
The kitty is suffering from hyperthyroidism which is why he is so skinny. He more than likely also has kidney disease. They get to a certain age and they Don't groom themselves as well, and it becomes a never-ending cycle. We don't know the parents and with their lives are like and if they can't help this Kitty groom itself well. So don't judge them too harshly.
It doesn't look like this. Kitty cat is being treated for his hyperthyroidism which is very sad. It's very inexpensive.
I am grateful to this very kind person who is grooming this kitty cat and making the experience as good as it possibly can be. The kitty does have issues and it does need to be seen by a vet and hopefully the owner will understand that and do it quickly.

That cat wouldn't be going back to that family. The woman said her parents have been taking care of the cat while she's lived away. They didn't care for the cat and neither does she. The first stop should have been a vet. Thank you for being so kind and gentle with this furbaby. You're a wonderful groomer.

Bless you for helping this kitty and I get that due to age and being skinny from the hyperthyroidism that it can't be sedated safely for grooming any more but that poor baby's sick, that puss from its mouth is horrible, imagine how sore it's mouth must be, it needs immediate vet care!
🫶🏻
I don't fault her she's taken him to several people who would have sedated him if they could. She found the right man for the job. Now that she can see what his health issues are she will be better able to take care of him. He's a very excitable kitty. Many people can't handle animals that scare them.

Im impressed. You are such a good person. Great jobb!
Thank you 🙏🫶🏻
WHY!?!! WHY is this owner putting this cat through this? If he is sick, in pain, poor quality of life, getting very stressed when handled etc this seems very cruel if they will not maintain this. I am a veterinary professional and know how difficult this situation can be but to be realistic we must put the animals needs first. This cat clearly has cardiac issues and severe dehydration just from a distance on a video! Thank you so much for your patience and support for this cat. It needs to be offered the last act of kindness and end its obvious suffering. This poor cat needs more than a polish and buff.
Thank you for your feedback, but unfortunately since that last visit, I can never get a hold of the owner and no idea what was the next step they decided to to for their cat
I really feel bad for the poor kittie. He is obviously seriously neglected. I just hope and pray that he would get the medical treatment he needs in a timely manner and could recove and bounce back to health. But with such a questionable human, disappering after the grooming session and not answering calls and things. Things are looking pretty grim for him. Sad. Just sad.
First of all, re-watch the video and listen to what the owner says about this cat's condition and actions already taken. Then please Google hyperthyroidism in cats prior to posting anymore negative, uninformed posts.
Thank you for helping that kitty. I’m glad the owner found you ❤

By removing some fur, you helped the vet(s) take a better look at him so he could recieve the better care that he needs! Since the matting was so close to the skin, he must've been in so much discomfort. But I feel that Chotu knew you were helping him, and suspect that after removing the first mat he felt enough relief to let you keep going. He must've really wore himself out!

I’m rooting for your channel to keep growing! More people definitely need to see what skills you provide for all these cats! My heart hurts for that baby’s frail skin but you did an incredible job, especially considering another groomer wouldn’t take him. Kudos !
Awww. Thank ypu so much 🙏 🙏 🙏
I felt this poor cats pain bless him, he looked so poorly I hope he feels better soon. You did a wonderful job keeping him calm and recommending the vet (doctor) at the end.

What a kind and caring man he also has GREAT PATIENCE.
🙏
You can’t tell me that cat isnt neglected
😢
@@Thecalmcatgroomer I’m glad you got her to take the car to the vet though.
You are a kind and caring person. I have one difficult cat and I always play calming cat music before I start anything. You tube has awesome calming music videos for cats. It works like magic. With your calmness , playing that music in your office would be like icing on the cake. I pray they get to the vet immediately. As the cat can't eat! Hence why it's so skinny. My heart breaks for the poor kitty.

What a great video! You’re good at your work! Hopefully after the wounds heal and the hair comes back in you can give him a nice beautiful cut! Great way to desensitize I didn’t think of doing that would my cat. Amazing!
