Great to see new videos now that the rains have let up. For the record, your videos were key to my decision to buy an F700GS. In fact, I went a little out of my way to buy it from you. So the lawyers can put that in their pipe and smoke it. And go ahead. Keep poking fun at the700/800s. Your observations are probably true (their your opinions anyway), and I can take a joke. I've had the bike for a year-and-a-half and it's been perfect -the consummate middle aged guys bike (not just a girl's bike). : )

That makes it all worth the effort! When I poke fun at the 800 twins it's with no malice. I think that the F700GS is a fantastic all around motorcycle. Thank you!

Very nice bikes, but where is the urban g/s? Looking forward to that one the most! Cheers!

The Urban GS won't be around until the 3rd quarter; September / October. I can't wait to ride one!

I don't blame BMW one bit for not putting high-end suspension on the bike. The average street rider has no idea how it works and doesn't ride with enough skill to actually need it anyhow.

Can you get a sidecar for the BMW. The wife is 314Lb.

I recommend bolting on the payload bed from a f-350 dually. It should get the job done.

Did that happen last year? It makes sense since she's down a few lbs. from our last discussion.

Let me throw you the ultimate first world problem bike dilemma. I have a
2014 F800R and I want an upgrade but I'm trying to decided between the
S1000R or the R nineT. I've ridden them both a ton (I work at a dealer,
and we have demos of both) and I love the everything about the R nineT.
Style, sound, size, "coolness". But compared to the S1000R where you get
"everything", all the bells and whistles, adjustable everything, cruise, and the obvious power. BUT I'm wondering
if the R is TOO much power, it's like owning a hyper car and only
bringing it to 60% of it's potential on the street. Where as the R nineT
you can bring to damn near 85-90% of it's power on the street. I can
not make up my mind haha thoughts? :P

Hey Conner, sorry about the delayed response, my computer was being a bitch;). I went through the same dilemma. The R is the logical choice. The T is the emotional choice. What ended up solving my problem was a Triumph Speed Triple. Love everything about it. I would also suggest that you take an R1200RS out and see what you think. I think it's a fantastic bike; better than the R1200R. Have fun!

Cal Moto thanks man! Appreciate your 2 cents. Your 100% right about the logical vs emotional choice, I actually never thought of it like that till just now. But you're right. I have more deciding to do haha

Anything is possible with enough cash; that said, it will probably be prohibitive. Cheers!

A question about the new S1000R: How much are the forged wheels adding to the price (all the dealerships are getting is the forged wheel package so far), and when do you think we will see the normal 2017 S1000R without forged wheels? Thank you

    • @calmoto9073
      @calmoto9073  7 ปีที่แล้ว

Hey E.S. , All of the launch bikes from BMW will show up fully equipped and are not modifiable my the dealer before arrival; the S1000Rs will all have forged wheels at a cost of $1375.00. The next round of bikes in BMWs pipeline will have the option of forged or cast. You just have to catch build in time if you want to order one with specifics. Otherwise, just sit tight and they'll be around in a month or so.

Cal Moto Awesome. Thank you for the quick response. I am trying to decide between the S1000R and a Speed Triple. Both great bikes and very different than my CBR 1000 RR I just sold.

I really think the 2016 Speed Triple is a superb bike and a great value for the ST3 Standard.
