Katana.. 50 watt and an old Peavey with solid state preamp and tube power amp.. I can't remember the model, but it has a huge 15" speaker. I use my Boss ME 70 thru it now for fun and it sounds great especially if you crank it to get the power tubes cranking.. The ME series effects are killer.. I love them. Might have to get the ME90 after seeing your demo and use your IR's.. They always sound great.. Be well sir! Tim

I know people say they can and I can feel the difference a little, but I've not used the software to change the bias and it would probably fix that. I just love the tones. I don't use effects except a tad bit of reverb and a little delay to sweeten it up. I need to buy the Eventide pitch pedal so I can do the 80s thing like Steve Vai did on the movie crossroads. God that was killer tome. Now you don't have to have the rack. We live in such a great time to be a guitar player. Rock and roll brother and be well my friend..
Hey guys! I could not find it in the manual, but is it possible to bypass internal DSP/modeling and use it just as a cab with Helix or Tonex for example? I know there is Aux In jack so technically it should be possible, but wonder if the sound is good enough this way..
The looper would be a big plus to me. the other two i could take or leave. Not really sure why HO tone left out the 90 second looper the ampero's have?
I love the wave of these companies, hotone, mooer,spark amp...the amount of features on offer now is quite insane..love the addition of the touch screen...it looks like the Yamaha desktop amp had a baby with the spark amp.
Just got this ,very impressive and the best sounding desktop amp I have had (which is most of them ) . Not a fan of the small touchscreen so the app is essential but sound wise it is fantastic .
Have you played through a boss gt1000? They sound Fn amazing, but it's also the feel that is amazing. It feels very natural, snappy, and responsive under the fingers. This is supposedly where the extra strong "computing power" comes into play... Either way it looks like those Yamaha lunchbox amps have some legit competition.

Nice for practice, but for composing and creativity i don't know. Do they think how we can conect a looper in it and have all the effects just for the guitar we play ? Can we take out all the sound we have programmed and take them out in a daw or i don't know, i use 3 diferents loopers and can i get this sound in and get back and use just the sound modified for the guitar solo ? Do they have a send and return inside ?... I think they miss all this part... For me we are close to the graal amp but just miss a looper part inside to be really complete. And it's akways the same problem with this amp modeling type. Maybe one day they one constructor will took the Rubicon to be really complete. That's what i'm looking for. hi Leon , have had every practise amp on the market and never really been happy with their tones , this sounds great but as a mainly home guitarist i'm torn between getting something like the hotone stage - the Tone X - the Boss GX100 or this , a looper would be a game changer too , what would you recommend ?
Hi Leon, There seems to be an overlap from “Practice amp” and “Portable amp”. This is a PG Spark 40 competitor me thinks and seems to be more expensive. For condos I think like the Spark it will be too loud. I looked at PG Mini Spark, Nux Mighty Space and Mighty Air and ended up with the Mighty Air which does more or less what this does, but at lower volumes with 3 tiny speakers. I have a Katana, too loud on 2.5w got complaints day b4 yesterday and 1w Laney Iron Studio. The Nux I dont get complaints and it sounds quite good and loud sat right in front. Moreover, these guys are IOS and Android, whereas Hot tone is Mac or Windows so you need a computer, where a phone is sufficient for the Nux. Plus they are battery rather than power driven. Price wise its close to the Katanas and I know which I would prefer!

While i do think this is a incredible practice amp i am disappointed that there is no Looper? The ampero's all have a 90 second looper so i am surprised they Omited it for this amp? Other than that it is killer!

Another nice toy for home. Something like Blackstar which is also stereo. I like that there is a touch display. Nice sound. I have a Positive grid Spark mini at home and it plays very similarly. In the hands of Leon, the sound of fantasy. I wonder what will happen in 10 years. There's always something new. You can't even watch it. Too bad we can't have everything. Very good review. I have the thr30ii and it’s not going anywhere however!!…if you can only have one I’ve seen several comments on different videos that suggest this over the thr. This will have more options…but the thr is classic sounding…very pure and operational with built in battery too.
Young guitarists are so spoilt for choice with amazing tech that really delivers now at affordable prices. When I was starting out a treble booster or a wah pedal was the height of tech.
Probably better than the THRII but the THR10 MK1 with the 2.0.4 firmware... I don't know, using properly you can achieve good sounds with it and plays well with pedals. For me the first generation of the THR is not a bit better, but so much better than the THRII
Cool amp! You should deifinitely check out the NUX Mighty Space which has even more bells and whistles as this one (looper, included wireless and a footswitch and serves also as a 40w guitar amp head!
These days they slap a usb audio interface on almost anything. these chipboards must be very cheap for the manufacturers. could it be that every audio device in the future would also function as an interface? if so let's hope the driver quality catches up
No looper. Sux. No battery. Sux. I am keeping my Nux Mighty Space. I don't care about the 4" touch screen, my phone touch screen is 6" and I use it for preset editing.
thats pretty neat and its packed with features...............but the touchscreen is TINY. My fat fingers would not agree with it. So its a naw f'me dawg.
I was a Spark40 preorder-customer, had Bluetooth issues with it ever since but yesterday it stopped working. Only creates loud hissing. There is a video on TH-cam of a guy who has the same Spark40 problem and there are TONS of comments from users that have the same problem. PositiveGrid just did bad engineering with the first releases of the Spark40... if the repair cost me more than 100€, i won't spend the money into this piece of junk and buy the Pulze instead.

I've had the Pulze a few weeks now. What's impressive is how many of the pre sets are actually cool. Especially the Ambient Delays and Reverbs

Dang. You could almost gig with that thing. That Marshall tone was stellar.
The Ampero tones are really awesome hey. They've got a "pro" modeller coming soon I'll be checking out too.
Yeah the Marshall Model was impressive no doubt! They even got the slight flub in the low end right when set to higher gains.

I've got a Mighty AIr and it's pretty darn handy! Being battery powered is definitely nice.

I also had a problem with the Bluetooth on it sometimes, when I run too much Delay and Reverb the preset just stop.
I just received mine today and I cannot find the app for it. Do they have one for Android or are they all on iPhones?
