3 days bushcraft and camping out on my friends land. Finally got my hands on the Finnish Loue shelter in high quality canvas. Amazing. I believe this is the ultimate shelter design for camping in rain and snow with a fire. The overhang peak is what does it. The finns are known for brilliant innovation. It's huge and only 2.5 kg which even makes it a shelter for hiking.
Started out with some snow and high winds, shifting winds through the night with warmer temperatures and rain the next evening. On the third day it was really warm and spring in the air. Weather changes are nice.
Gear: Norwegian mountain pack, Biltema pot, M40 mess kit in stainless, Trangia Triangle cooking kit, Urberg stainless bottle, Canvas Loue shelter, Carinthia defense 4 sleeping bag, Thermarest neoair large sleeping pad, jack wolfskin floor saver, mora garberg stainless knife, Hultafors Åby axe, old lantern, Lundhags boots and fjällräven jacket.
Thanks for watching!
In bed with a fever and headache.
Your calm content helps.
Thank you.
🤒🤯🛏
Watching your videos always makes me want to move back home. I miss the forests so much.
My gentle giant happy to see you out again.
Love the way you start you're fires even wet.
Smile a little 😊😊
Thanks!
You are hands down the best Bush crafter. I have ever seen great stuff.
Thank you!
Thanks for the kind words towards us Finns, we love our Swedish brothers and sisters! Also thanks for the once again amazing video, made my evening damn near perfect.
Thanks for watching!
Swede, as us Canadians would say, You're a Beauty!
Leaving the remaining firewood carefully against the tree (preserving dryness) is a thoughtful "Welcome" to the next camper. I learned this in the Pacific Northwest from my Dad. Secondly, I just ordered a Loue shelter for myself. Looks to be a great design and it has stood the test of time.
My video is similar.
Calm, peaceful and very relaxing as usual. Thank you❤
Nature is truly wonderful,
thank you my friend 💚💚
Who needs to waste money in the gym when you can just drag logs in the forest 😅
Let's go
That's really a great point! And no grunting noises or old sweat smells!🤣
Fajny film akurat do kawy.😊😊
Ah, yes, if only my knees and back would cooperate...
Using a sharp axe to drag logs is stupid
Beautiful video. Thank you. I love how you left the campsite, wood for the next person and all clean. Thank you for the lesson on knots. It’s amazing how much you can stretch one chicken into three meals. Take care.
Your videos inspired me to go and find an LK35 rucksack and I was miraculously able to source a mint condition one from MilitaryMart in the UK, their very last one... It's such a nice pack and a good bit larger than I expected it to be. It can easily fit four to five day's worth of gear and food in it... For reference, I'm that Aussie guy who took all his gear across the world to Muddus National Park at the end of 2022 that you told to "keep warm" in a reply comment..haha
Great content! Thank you buddy! Fishing in high water is certainly not very good, but everything else is beautiful and useful.
This days in this beautiful landscape should have been very pleasant for you , I like very much the way you film , and it gave the feeling of being there , thank you
I took a trip to the woods of Northern Sweden from here in Bergen, Norway over the winter, and we had four days of pure fun. Glad to see you back at it again. Njut av.
Outstanding as ever, brilliant atmospheric camera work, you make it all look so easy, calm's the soul, thank you.
You are awesome, I am so glad to be alive to meet people like you with a fine simple skills to enjoy camping in Mother Nature with all respect ❤️❤️
Thanks!
The new shelter is perfect for solo camping. Thank you for this nice film. I enjoyed the scenery and the deliciious campfire chicken & soup. The hike was also pleasant and peaceful. Overall great experience, my friend. Blessings to you.
Thanks!

If it wasn't for the idea of more log pulling, you could've written out "Swedwoods was here!" in the snow!! J/k
Much love to you as usual from Western Massachusetts where it decided to go back to being winter again with the outdoor temp & some freezing rain earlier today 4/13/24
We like your forest time! Thank you very much for the relaxing pictures. Best regards.
Thanks!

The master. Do not doubt! Congratulations for this new video my friend. Nice walking
Brilliant thats Sundays viewing to look forward too after I come home from camping
Thank you!
Hello and thank you once again for your efforts to make fantastic entertainment for us stuck indoors. It has been nearly continually raining here in Wales, the ground is so sodden it's not been worth going out. This only makes your work even more appealing. Loved the boundary wall. Man may have built it but it's the nature that made it beautiful. Please keep up the good work and thank you.
Thank you!
Dude!..I love it when you compress your sleeping bag at the end of each video!🤣💨
There's something that's so satisfying about it...
✌️💛🤘

Beautiful as always trip, souds of nature. Your vids are always amazing for me before sleep, feeling calm and can sleep well. Thank You :)
That's a great bushcraft! I love your mobility and not just being tied to one place! 👍
Watching you light that first long fire shows what a great resource Birch Bark is for fire tasks. Snow on the ground on arrival and clear on departure, the season marches on. 👍
Thanks!
Nice, simple, relaxing video brother👍👍 The new "Hooch" is stellar, we'll see this summer when it's really raining how well it works for that eh. Long fire perfection and a roasted bird with plenty leftovers for tasty stew, nice. Filming is first rate as always, composition and presentation is spot on pro all the way, thanks for the work and trip Swedwoods, much appreciated.
Good camp, good vid, good eats, fixed much the same a few days back. Nice to have a hot meal. Better luck on the fishing. Hard to find an eddy place in the big runoff/melt water. There's fish in there, just finding where they school up. Always interesting knot school. I use a few of those myself. Draw stuff up. Really like the canvas shelter. Trick to trap the heat and still ventilate the smoke. Like the way it packed. No issues. Cool Mora knife. Like the Scandi strong grind on the blade. Workhorse. May do one. Getting a couple Helle this week Nord and another full tang. strong sharp. Never enough, always room for one more. Gave grandson a M40 kit for Christmas. I don't think I've seen the specs on the Aby axe. Have to check it out. Got a carpenter's axe a couple weeks back, 20 inch handle, couple pound head. All good. Great relaxing watch. Made a few good meals out of the bird. Next time
Excellent handling, throughout 👍👋
I enjoyed your little runoff adjustment and the pleasing oval mess kit, such a satisfying shape. And, the forest.

I really like your videos. Sometimes I even watch while enjoying snacks when the rainy season arrives. While hoping that one day we can also camp in the snow like you. warm greetings from Indonesia 😁

Sensacional a improvisação,o fogo.
A big fire for one chicken.
One chicken for a big man.
Thank you once again.

Brilliant Saturday viewing thanks 👌

16:25 - Would've made a nice dinner right there!
Fresh Venison!
Such a wonderful time in the beautiful forest. This is really cool to watch. You get all kind of weather in this time of year 😊😊😊😊
Thanks my friend!
*** PLOT TWIST -> That small ditch like trail created from pulling the logs between 2:39 to 3:39+ ends up becoming an "Alpine Slide" afterwards, Opens up tourism & a small theme park!! Lol! J/k Swed!
You rule the woods as usual!
Thats an awesome fire! I need to try this too...
Another start to a great Saturday. Swedewoods video and a cup of coffee, Thank for a great video.
Thanks!
@22 minutes in- the forest looked like Paul Gauguin’’s BARE TREES’
Sweden and Norway used to train ponies and horses to walk in snowshoes. They dragged timber over light snowfall. I think this is why the Swedish horses used in Dressage have such powerful strides!

Excellent as usual!
Thanks!
En meget smuk skov 🤗🏕️🤗
always a pleasure to wake up to your posting. The new poncho looked very functional. Amazing what little design and engineering improvements can do. I like the fact that nothing from that chicken got away but the cluck! And living in a refrigerator make it easy to store. LOL! Also liked the new outro. A taste of spring as you say goodbye. Nice touch. Cheers, my friend!
Thanks!

Finally getting to enjoy one of your videos while drinking coffee before I get started on my list . Need to find logs uphill from your campsite 😁 Wind was playing heck getting that first fire going . Had to look Koltrast up . Didn’t realize my volume was turned down . Wasn’t sure where you were going with the pot till you started your stock . Too many things to talk about . Your appreciation of your surroundings always makes it a pleasure to watch . I could make myself disappear in those woods . Have a great weekend
Thanks my friend!
The best out there. Great job!
Thank you!
The forest is very beautiful, I like the way you use tools very skillfully, I wish my friend always success
Thank you!
One thing I have learned, good dead standing trees are never close to camp.
One other thing I found when coking chicken by the fire, if the temp is consistent on the whole chicken, when you a can twist the leg and it spins in the the first joint, the chicken is done.
I was wondering what you were going to do with the chicken bones. We had a chicken for dinner last night, I boiled the bones and will make soup today after I finish my breakfast. never thought of doing it in the bush, great idea!
to bad you did not spot an elk to go with those droppings.
Thank you for the experience.
Thank you very much!
