I loved everyone in this season. Everyone had their very clearly defined characters and was so lovely to each other. It was a classic season.
I wanted to give her a hug and tell her it's okay XD
That's just the kind of clever we'd expect a successful contestant would need to be!
Alex is a man of many talents: Semi-renowned musician, awkward tv host, award-winning gameshow producer, and dancing, confetti-throwing neanderthal impressionist... he's done it all.
He's also the front man in a band that has often been described.
Also has a TH-cam golf channel that I hate because of his partner that acts like a baby on the course. I like Alex though...he kills it on Taskmaster, very funny.

After 14 seasons this is still the most Alex Alex has ever Alexed.
Nothing is funnier to me than the difference between Desiree and Victoria in their level of enthusiasm at "air-shagging in the church."
I love how in a scoring system with a possible 142 points, there is still half points to be had.
This one really shows how nicely it's edited. It's a little bit off-putting but also charming, but always just slightly unique. Alex Horne is very important, but whoever does the editing deserves an award (which they might already have, I don't keep an eye on British awards all that well...)
100% agree!! And I have always really admired the interstitials between tasks and the act markers between commercial breaks. They feel unlike anything else on television.

His scoring system really feels like something I would put together. Waaaay too complicated for the simplicity of the thing it's trying to accomplish, yet still just right to do the task it's made for.
Nope because victoria didnt even replicate the moves right, she was suppose to be humping but instead just moved her arms, she did an uppercut instead of the karate chop, when she grabbed the pole out the bag she threw it the wrong way, wasnt on beat and went to her seat too early.. js

@@d283jdsk2 Nope. As Alex explained, it spells Taskmaster and it rhymes. Shake, snake, treat, seat. But I can't see how the first two lines fit into the rhythm of the poem. Again, Alex did say, outright, that it comprises a poem.

Alex is a damn international treasure. I only found this show a while ago, and it’s already made me laugh more than any other show I’ve ever seen.
You've got a big backlog of episodes to get through, and there's also the taskmaster podcast by contestant Ed Gamble, where you learn the behind the scenes action.
Apparently when one contestant asked for a magic lamp, the taskmaster crew hired an actor to be a genie and grant wishes, but the contestant didn't even rub the lamp, so they were only told later that if they'd rubbed the lamp, they could have had wishes.
I love the detail of the different colors of pocket squares that Alex has for each person he’s performing for, helps to distinguish between the five Alexes shown together at the beginning.
As soon as he said the paper had Taskmaster written down the side I knew there'd be a sneaky connection revealed at the end. At least this time there's no reasonable way any would've worked it out with what they've been given so it's just bonus content.
The music in this task has been stuck in my head for about a year now!

Truly it hasn't left my head since I heard it, and it comes up at the most random times.
I love how at 8:36, Alex makes himself laugh at his “scoring system”

When I saw the steps, that was the first thing I thought.
I'm so impressed with everyone's performance. In most of the tasks I feel I'd do on par or often better than the contestants, but this looks incredibly hard and they all did excellent.
agreed that it looks hard. i thought the ones who would do good in this task are people with a background in professional dance but they all did very good.
I feel the opposite. For me, this is the only one that looks like I could have moderately succeeded in 🙈

Very late reply but as someone with a degree in music I can tell you it’s absolutely *fascinating* from a compositional standpoint. It’s really skilfully written to be almost incomprehensible but not quite, and I’m obsessed with it as well
Bit of an eerie quality to that music on a loop like that intensifying.
Probably the most mesmerizing task to date!

Probably one of my favourite tasks in the best series of Taskmaster. I’ve got both books written by Alex, it’s incredible how he comes up with these tasks. Although, the way it was edited it was extremely creepy and I was a little frightened by it lol.

One thing I just noticed. In the final part of Alex's demo where he's walking back to his seat, 4 Alex's step left foot first but the right-most Alex steps right foot first
I hope Victoria's(?) score was accounted for that demo for being spot on. Unless it doesnt matter which foot first.They all missed skipping the second step anyway

I think it's just to prove that he demonstrated the dance live individually to each contestant rather than let them watch a recorded video of him doing

This is one of my favorite taskmaster moments lol and for some reason I love that song... it sticks in my head...
This is another one of the best tasks in the series. The editing and presentation really make it (though I just realised how much it looks like a tiktok compilation and I don't love it)

Another overflow task. Where there is just too much to remember in a short span of time. Everyone did very well as far as I’m concerned.
I can watch clips of Taskmaster forever on repeat and they'll never get boring. Best TH-cam recommendation ever!

i always love a good fever dream task
The music from this has stuck with me, that when my spouse was watching the Muppet Show and they did the delightfully weird "trudge trudge, streak streak" song, I immediately thought of this task. In fact, I thought it was the same music! They're very similar, but definitely different when played back to back. Still, never thought I'd hear anything as haunting and delightful anywhere else!
That was a hella epic dance routine tbh.

The various typos in these video titles/descriptions are starting to feel like secret tasks for the grammar obsessed viewers.
I did not see that result coming, morgana was by far the most 'accurate' even though the timing was off
imagine the guys needing to watch the video multiple times to get the timings down correct for the edit, then are required to review for issues, then precise scoring..... only the Taskmaster would do such a thing to those involved.....

"Copy" Alex..... and nobody thought to swab Alex's cheek and send it to a lab?. It said copy Alex, not copy Alex's actions..... and it was 1 attempt to "copy Alex", no time limit, and again no mention of his actions.
