  • Hey guys! Long time no 'food' video. For today's episode, I brought three of my Korean friends to a Filipino restaurant in Seoul! I always get so excited when I introduce Filipino culture to my loved ones, and I'm pretty sure you are too. Seeing them enjoy Filipino food made me feel like a proud mom. HAHA. 🤣 I hope you guys enjoyed this video as much as we did! 💖

James' nostalgic feeling while eating Filipino foods is common to us Filipinos. Most of our dishes are comfort foods. Eating for us doesn't only fill our stomachs, but also our souls and interactions with our loved ones. Moments with family and loved ones is usually accompanied with home cooked meals. And you are correct Ms.Jessica! It's really hard to go on diet in the Philippines! 😅

As a former English teacher, We teach our student to express love instead of like when you're expressing something that you really really like. So instead of saying like since you really really like it, better use love. Therefore, the tagalog clause for "I love manok" is Gustong gusto ko ng manok and it means I love manonk not 'mahal ko ang manok" Stay safe!

“I love” means *Mahal ko* but if your referring to foods you can say *Gusto ko* for example “Gusto ko ng Manok” especially when your craving it. You just add ANG so you can create a complete sentence because if you only use "Gusto ko manok ( i love chicken)" It sounds incomplete sentence is tagalog even though its right in english. I hope it helps to those people who are learning Filipino language. . (ㅅ´ ˘ `)

If you haven't tried a very legit type of sisig its ingredients is not just pig ears.
    Maskara - pigs face
    Tongue
    Nose
    Ears
    Tongue
    Eyes
    Tail-optional but mine i do it😅
Brain - if no brain available egg is considered as substitute
    Plenty of garlic
    Onions
Siling labuyo or any type of chilies
Calamansi after its cooked then squeeze it into and mix🥰
Its kinda similar with bicol express but this one has coconut milk.🤔 And by the way some pilipino dishes depends on provinces even its the same name the taste or has their own versions.😅👍🏼

You know whenever I see Jessica's enthusiasm in introducing Filipino foods to Koreans, I kinda remember Dara in her. They both share that same level of happiness when people likes the food they also like. On a side note, I should remember to buy soju when I visit my parents. We're surrounded by hundreds of calamansi trees! :)

Well that is good video with good reviews indeed in Korea. Is the turon purely banana ( saba) ? There are 2 two types of banana fruit being use, the ordinary banana that is a little bit watery that cause the wrapping to get soggy and the SABA banana which is almist dry and a little flat and small. In some parts of tge Philippines especially in the Northern Luzon, they add a slice ofsweet jack fruit with the banana making it more delicious. Glad to know that you are a connoisseur of good food and good wine. Too bad TUBA is not available there as it easily ferment when taking it from the top of the coconut tree in the early morning. This drink is also mention in the Bible too as it is very sweet. Keep going with food video and more power to your passion of food videos!
