When I was a kid , my dad and I were worm fishing. We saw a huge bullfrog and decided to use a small hook and a dandelion flower . We dangled it in front of the frog and caught it. Of course we let it go. It looked at us like , what the heck just happened? It is one of my best childhood memories!
Is catching Sunny’s and then using them as bait legal? I thought it was illegal but I could be wrong.. maybe just in Minnesota?? Please correct me if I’m wrong
Different states have different regulations but sunfish are mostly bait. Some rates that would be completly illegal to do this with like the black banded sunfish in jersey.
People that do this are so annoying because if it’s a big fish it can swim far way get hooked around and caught up in a tree, for other fishermen to get caught on, stuck in propeller props and ultimately kill the fish🥶
