I have never run a combine, just road with my father as much as I could when I was a kid. Now at 68 I hope to try my self-propelled Massey 35 I acquired last fall in some soybeans. I grew up on IH so love your equipment.👍
Thanks! I was at the Half Century of Progress show this past weekend and watched a Massey 35 shelling corn and doing well. The size of it makes it easy to transport. Good luck with the bean harvest!

Could you please tell me how many hp do you need for this combine? I'm thinking of getting one, and all i have is a 35 Massey and a 2110 Ford there both around 40 hp.
I believe 40 hp would be sufficient. Back when these combines were new, the tractors that would've probably been used were the 350/450 and later the 460/560. The only reason I used an 856 and a 1456 was because they had independent pto and live hydraulics.
Great video. I had to do the same with my dad's M& 450 FARMALLS to push in the clutch. Preferred the 630 JD . Thanks for sharing.
Can't beat the IH equipment. Too bad they're gone.
always interesting...really like the story of getting her back to the farm after all those years.
you always make it look so easy 😁
Nice combine. Enjoyed
Thanks for sharing! Kudos for finding the tractor and keeping the combine working
Thanks 👍
Great video, nice job of explaining the tractor & and combine.😊
Thanks 👍
That is a real power house pulling the combine.
Yes, overkill for the 80, but I was itching to try it on something!
Love your videos
Thank you, Brian!
I really enjoy using my 80 combine. Nice video.
Thanks! I may try it in beans next year.
Very cool!
That is a good looking tractor. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I grew up with a 560 756 and our big tractor was a 1456 turbo diesel.
I mostly remember our 706 and a couple of 806's, but when the 1456 came along, it was our best tractor for years and did all the heavy work.

That's great that you got the 1456! The IPTO of the 1456 makes the combine easier to work.
Yes it does!
Once upon a time, milo was prime dove and quail hunting ground because it leaves so much cover after it's harvested.
I think it still holds true, but to a lesser extent now. I now see corn and sunflowers used for that purpose.
