I'm old enough to remember those machines in their day and the people that farmed then I think it was a lot better time strong families that helped each other I miss that just a lot simpler time.
Tell your wife thank you for her part in making the video and good driving. Happy Anniversary. Thank you for the video of the 80 in action and up close.
My uncle had an AC Big Bin 66 with a corn head on it and he had the AC hitch to pull a wagon beside the combine, Didnt take long to fill a 25 bu grain tank ! LOL He shelled 100 acre of corn that way one year. Never seen one sense then but the IH 80 with the hitch with wagon come mighty close ! Love the old iron like this. Your wife is doing a mighty fine job in my book ! Bandit
I've got an 80. This spring will be the first time using it for spelt. Ours doesn't have the fingers, just paddles, but it should work ok. Wished it had a scour clean, but I'm sure we will manage. Thanks for the video!
Hi Blast from the Past, thank you for these nice videos reflecting farm machinery/implements I grew up with (still have some...). Congratulations on your wedding anniversary - I envy you, my first date/love/wife passed away to CA after 30 years together, mostly supporting me. Your invention of the custom side grain wagon is a brilliant "make-do" creation of farmers. May God bless you both, Ciao, L (Morning Side and Star Shine Farms, Inc, ME)
Really enjoyed watching this!! Only two differences from my Dad's equipment? Is that our combine was a couple years older and we didn't have the side trailer hitch attachment. Thanks!!!

I could go back to those days in a heartbeat. Little more hard physical work but hard work never killed anyone. Family, faith and respect.
Tell your wife thank you for her part in making the video and good driving.
Happy Anniversary.

Grand old machine , making a good clean sample. Congratulations to you both 🏴
Thank you, time sure Flys when you are having fun
Awesome job. Love the old equipment. Thanks 🙏
I was raised on a farm myself. My dad use to own a 560 great tractor. 👍👍👍
We would like to thank you for sharing your video with us, it's very educational. Thank you again, we love watching while you work your land...
Thanks for watching!
Your wife has a steady hand.
Those who can, show others how to do it! Nothing like "old fashion" capability. Love it.

Old school. Great to see it still working.
Best day of farming. I really like running this machine, was my wife's first time.

Old 560 sounds really good!
It just had a complete engine overhaul.
i love old equipment like this i have an old 1957 farmall 450 i fixed up and im in love with it
I have a 1956 Farmall 350 and a 1958 Farmall 350. On another video I am using the 1958 350. Handy tractors.

Loved the Pull type Combines
Congratulations on a good marriage you to
Nice! I have never seen one of those combines before. Our area was AC country back in the day.
My area was mostly IH Farmalls and Oliver's. Oliver's were made only 30 miles away at Charles City Iowa
Your wife is doing a mighty fine job here, watch out she could end up driving one of those big combines or Headers, as we call them in Australia.
She did great for being her first time. Had her drive my 1979 IH 1440 for a little while so I could video. Glad you liked it.
Fantastic job, Carol. And Happy 38th!
Thanks for a great video the best on showing a pull type comebine best video ever for me!!!
Doing a good job without header height control and unloading on the go too!
I had the ground rolled after the beans were planted which knocked the root balls flat made it smooth, thanks for the comment
I love this.
Over thrashing, open the cylinder a couple of turns, the pods should still be on the plant when it spits out the back of the combine.

I have other videos and one showing the hitch up close. Thanks for watching
She’s doing great
Never seen a wagon pulled like that on the side..
I have another video explaining the hitch, thanks for watching and commenting.
That's what I like to call maximizing profits!
Your I H pull combine looks almost identical to the AC AllCorp except that it is reversed side
A lot less complicated than today. Fix anything with a piece of baling wire, duct tape and a few links for a chain.
Where did that combine come from?
I bought it North West of Marshalltown Iowa
Missing my Pull type Combine
it would look more vintage if the 560 was a narrow front
They came with either narrow front or wide front
@@Blastfromthepastfarming652 I know but a narrow front tractor is an iconic style of tractor that's essentially saying I'm an old tractor.
