I really appreciate the new addition at the end of the video to answer questions. I think this can be beneficial and helpful to a lot of us out there who are trying our best to budget.💜

Last year when gas prices were hiked up I would start refueling at the half tank mark instead of waiting until I had less than that. I was spending less doing it like that. I still do that, esp with prices edging back up. You never know when you might get caught up in traffic or have to detour.

I do the same thing with the rounding up on my budget it works for me than always worrying about the change n exact numbers. I want to say also before u ever said that u were a school teacher I just knew it because you love stickers n that to me was a dead give away, lol

And glad to have clarity on how you say you have exactly 200 a week for food, that you don’t really have it but you just keep it as a cushion. That makes sense. And it makes sense not to bother with all of the details for these videos, or your life :-)

#3 - Thank you for the answers! I too was wondering about the exact on variable categories and health insurance. 😄I like to see the rolling amount left over each week (or not), especially when it's needed in future weeks. But also it's nice to just work off of the same numbers each week and be in the same spending habits :) Love your videos!

#3 - your nails match your stickers! Everything in this video matched haha. Keep up the good work on the Visa! It's always the last stretch of debt payoff that's emotionally hard I think. It personally drives me nuts 😂

I do the same rounding when I make my budget. However, as an Accountant, when I close out my budget I include all the cents. You have to account for every penny 😂. I was so excited when I saw you were going to use the same sticker kit as me. ☺️. I pick #2

I know right now might not be the best time/or easy to do but when you can I would love to see more grocery hauls. With a family of 4 (2 boys also) I spend $1200 a month on groceries, and that’s down from $1400. I would be so happy if I could get it down to $1000. Also I pick #2. 😊😊

Hi Jennifer, great video! I pick #2. Question, what do you do for something like clothes? With the seasons and kids, you need clothes and shoes. I have a sinking fund for it, but I don't see that you do? Where would you take that if you needed something? Thanks!

    • @lifeinenvelopes

I only put $5 in the Car Maintenance envelope. I should've put $10 in it. Then I would only have had $15 left for Miscellaneous, instead of the $20. I see where you thought it was Visa. I thought that, too, at first.
