Pro tip: you can re-use the food labels from the bags and put them on your buckets for easy labels. Just pull the label slowly and it should work just fine!

I'm an older now solo person who birthed and raised 6 children when such was not popular. My children range from 23-37 yrs old. I was a SAHM for 15 years. All of my children are doing well independently- 3 now married. Post divorce it cost me A Lot to have a blank resume for 15 years while seeking gainful employment. Super beyond hard! But my now grown children are great employees that get rapidly promoted. I attribute that to the lifestyle and work ethic they were raised with.
Now working again for the past 13 years, my younger coworkers who are my own children's age, definitely don't have that work ethic. I won't go into it other than to say they dont want to work and have an entitlement mentality.
Anyhoo I have been Greatly Awaiting a new post from your channel. It calms and grounds me. And for that I am Most Grateful... in this time of uncontrolled entitlement, victimhood and craziness.
I know it's really Hard, but you are showing people that things are possible.
Living in a Small condo with no ground space or patio space for a container garden, , I talked my HOA into trying a Community Container garden in the very limited space we have.. Our first year was a fail. They'd sprayed for bees prior- so they didn't pollinate our plants. Live and learn!
You and your husband are doing Everything Right in a society that says otherwise. God Bless. Your children will Greatly benefit in ways too numerous to mention.

If you haven’t tried the Azure chocolate chips I would definitely recommend them. We enjoy them so much more than any we have bought in stores. I haven’t done a cost comparison but since we use them so infrequently it is worth any added cost for the quality. We also really enjoy their organic dried mangoes since that isn’t something we grow and preserve. The quality surpasses that of Costco and Trader Joe’s in our opinion.

Azure and Costco are my 2 favorite places to shop! I also am a HUGE canner and have ordered and tried the Superb brand lids. They were not good in my pressure canner. I reached out to the company to get some advice and they promptly responded, however, I also did some research online myself, and others seem to have had this problem. So, just be cautious with the Superb lids until you have time to really test them for yourself.

I love this kind of content! I love the in depth cost analysis as I am a cheap shopper that still wants quality and healthy.
I only buy chocolate chips from azure (equal exchange brand) when they are on sale. Otherwise the cost for all the chocolate chips is ridiculous. Vitacost is another go to for lots of things, they usually have chocolate chips for way cheaper and have stackable discounts.
A tip for buckets: tractor supply is cheaper but still food grade. Quality is similar and gamma lids fit 👍🏻

I buy organic bulk spices from Frontier. I think Azure has some of their stuff. I have an old two-level lazy susan spice rack w/jars that I use to fill with unusual spices that I do not get in jars originally (like cellophane packs) or I custom blend. The ones that come in the tall glass jars from the stores, I reuse those for the same bulk spices so they are already labeled. : )

Spices in bulk lose their sense once they're not fresh. Once they're not adding flavour and smell to the food, they are just little dry things you find in your meal 😕. I only bought organic pasta once, I thought, once all the ingredients were added, tomato sauce, meat, anchovies, olives, or whatever, it shouldn't be so different, but it was. Return to pasta all'uovo. Sometimes I try to save, and the world is against me.
