hmm.. tough question. honestly, I don't know. it just sounds so good. there's not a bad preset on it. I just pick what's appropriate for the genre. they avoided putting bloatware on it and just picked out the best sounds. it's the best sounding keytar out there for sure.
@@japzproductionsHow do you set an amp simulator on an AX-Edge sound? My Edge app almost never works at all with my Android phone and when it does work, I can't find the edit parameter where I can fuse 2 sounds, nor the "amp simulator" effect. I have the original keyboard, no updates.
The Roland is better sound wise, the thing is just so much bigger than the Korg, kinda defeats the purpose of a keytar. Might as well strap a full sized keyboard around your neck 😅

Does the Korg have the ability to use wireless midi? If so, then the on board sounds aren’t a big deal. There’s some great sounds that can be used with midi. I had the AX-Synth, but sold it before the AX-edge came out. It was pretty big and heavy. If I get another keytar, I would prefer something smaller and lighter weight.
No built in wireless midi for korg. if u want wireless midi and light weight, consider the alesis vortex. I have it but I prefer on board sounds. has a lot of assignable controllers too.

I'm a big guy. thats kind of why I'm looking at the roland AX. But the sounds are much better also.
