What's a switching sustain pedal vs continuous sustain pedal?
I am actually exploring Yamaha 2 models but don't know the differenxe

I bought the Martin Jr when they first came out. Have owned many guitars since and I still pick this one up the most. It’s comfortable and sounds great.

I apologize but you don’t know anything about this guitar. They’re all solid wood not pieced together. Also as far as the frets I’ve had my jr for about 8 years and have virtually no fret wear. Mine has great bass response your Dads may have different strings on it than original.
lol wow, an "expert" 🤣 that's why you're here watching a review of a guitar you owned for 8 years right? try practicing more. you still have the original strings after all this time 😂 you haven't even broken it in. also, try other martin sizes. (even taylors) you'll know what great bass response means.

Currently in a rock band and looking to get a keytar... Really like the look and smaller size of the Korg (as well as the cheaper price), but the sounds on the Roland seem like they'd fit better for what I'd want to play. Is it possible to get similar sounds on the Korg? Or would you just recommend getting a Roland instead?
Your assessment is correct. I love the RK form factor but AX has more sounds and sound engines. RK is a straight up synth. It only has 1 sound engine. For synth sounds sure you can get close, but for other sounds, no. Work around would be to use it as a controller for mainstage or but for that, I’d check out alesis vortex.

Martin sounds a lot better. Yamaha has no bass and thin mids. Having said that, if you cannot play, it doesn't matter what guitar you play.

I don't think so, but I can't remember. It's probably a lead sound or a custom one I made, but can also be the octave guitar.

Recently bought such pedal for my wife, she owns Roland fp30x keyboard, pedal works well in continuous set, but not for all tones, for example it works for concert piano as continuous, but not for church organ or pipe organ, for them it works like switch. what kind? you mean a rotary switch? if so, yes, because real organs don't have sustain pedals. probably why they programmed it that way.
@@japzproductions thanks for response, yes there is switch half damper/switch control. And for organs, half damper work as just switch. Yes, probably you are right, also thought that organs may not have sustain pedals.

yes, keystep has auto polarity switching. idk about the continous feature tho

Does the Korg have the ability to use wireless midi? If so, then the on board sounds aren’t a big deal. There’s some great sounds that can be used with midi. I had the AX-Synth, but sold it before the AX-edge came out. It was pretty big and heavy. If I get another keytar, I would prefer something smaller and lighter weight.
No built in wireless midi for korg. if u want wireless midi and light weight, consider the alesis vortex. I have it but I prefer on board sounds. has a lot of assignable controllers too.
