Kim, your Treit is absolutely wonderful, it suits you perfectly !!! I HATE yarn chicken, so I always buy more yarn than needed. I don't mind having leftoover. I've just ordered CELTIC Cashmere couldn't resist. Happy Easter to you all !!!
Firsr, Kim WOW, your blanket is beautiful I love the colors you chose, Talk about not giving up on your projects. And thank you for making the crocus pattern available. I 'm not committed to a whole blanket but I have decided to make at least one the patterns for pillows and I am very excited to start. A suggestion for your Knitting chat- knitting tension such a challenge for me. Lastly I have serious FOMO about the Fiber Festival. You organizers are hitting it out of the ballpark making it one of the can't miss it Fiber festivals"
You two work so well together - I love the yarn chicken discussion and also what to do with bits-n-bobs. Kim, your new blue sweater (that you so enjoyed working on, I know that feeling, too!) is divine. Simone, I just love your work and your creative ideas. I also love your taste in reading - more on that next week. Thanks to both of you, this was a wonderful episode.
Thank you for another great podcast. I love everything you knit and crochet. I am saving my pennies, oops, nickels, to get some more of your yarn and tools. Kim, great job on the Trite. Simone, you crochet the most beautiful shawls. You are certainly a multi-talented woman. Happy Easter to you both and your families.
Thank you ladies for a lovely podcast. Yours is the most interesting and informative of them all. Plus, you are so very charming! Happy 🐣 Easter to you and your families xxx
Great video. Loved the walk in the woods. You blue sweater looks wonderful, love that colour. The chat about playing yarn chicken was enlightening. Thank you. 🇬🇧
Another wonderful Saturday morning spent with you two! I’m in central Indiana and my little dog watched every moment of the Harmony Part without moving as she sat on my lap! A delightful episode! Oh how I wish I could come to PEI for the Fiber Festival and to visit your shop. But being together on Saturdays is the next best thing! May God continue to bless you all and Happy Easter!🌷🧶
This is an episode that I have to watch again. So much information about how to figure out the left-over yarn! And the projects are lovely. I had to check out the Jasmine Tea shawl and fell in love with all the other patterns. I checked out the Wallflowers course and watched all the little sample/intro videos there! Kim I love the colours you have chosen for your Wallflowers. I know you are second guessing them but the effect is truly unique and stunning. Even the peach colour you do not like brings an amazing soft glow to the piece. I hope you do complete it as it is visually stunning.
Kim, your Treit is beautiful! And Simone, I love the crochet shawl that is in progress, too! As for yarn chicken, anything I do that has to be two, like socks or mittens, I do taat so that I can do the same adjusting, if needed. Also, if I have small amounts left, too little to do a couple of rows on a hat, I make prayer cloths out of them for the Church. I seldom have any real leftovers after that that are more than a couple of yards. Great episode! I saw Kirk Dunn on Fruity Knitting several months ago and I envy anyone who will see that in person. It was AMAZING! Glad to see Wall Flowers is coming back, too!
Hello Ladies, thank you for being my Friday afternoon entertainment. This week you helped me untangle yarn barf x3…… thought I could make a baby doll blanket quickly, working with 3 skeins of dk on size 17 needles…. Sadly, no, I can’t. I’ve watched all of your episodes, enjoyed every one, thank you!
Thanks for another lovely episode! It was fun to see the wall flower afghan again!! It's beautiful :). Looking forward to the next blanket square reveal in the next podcast!
Thanks Kim and Simone. Great discussion on yarn chicken. Not anybody’s favorite thing but if it happens you learn something. Great knits and crochet projects.
I had toyed around with the idea of learning to spin for months. Listening to Simone discuss spindle spinning pushed me down the rabbit hole, and I love it 😍 I thought I would just dip my toe in with a drop spindle...I bought a wheel a week later 😁 You should talk Betsy into learning to spin so she can ask all the new spinner questions in a "Spinning with Kim and Simone" segment!
Helix knitting is a great option if you have to use skeins with a differing dye lot when knitting in the round. knit to 3 stitches before the end of the round. Add the differing yarn. Knit to 3 stitches before the original yarn. Pick up and knit the 1st yarn and repeat by alternating the yarns.
Yes - I even did a tutorial on helical knitting a few years back. You can find in in our tutorial playlist. It was a must when you are making your living selling hand dyed yarns! ;-)
I purchase so much yarn during the Pandemic...just in case I couldn't get any more with everyone that started knitting/crocheting 😂 I am now trying to use it all up so I have a reason to buy more. I have made 3 scrappy blankets called My favourite blanket by Kay Jones of The Bakery Bears. It is mindless knitting, mostly garter stitch but now I have 3 small throws for around the house. Used up a lot of my fingering sock yarn as you hold it double or Worsted single. Granny square Afghans are a great idea too. Great topics and projects this week. Thanks for this episode🇨🇦🥰Sharon.
Such a lovely way to spend a quiet afternoon. Kim your Wall Flowers was just the ray of sunshine needed to brighten up the gray spring cold and damp. Happy Easter to those who celebrate 🐣
Such a great episode! Full of beautiful projects, nice stories, cashmere-yarn in pretty colors. Especially the technical part will help me a lot. I like Simone for her clear and straight explanations and also for her knowledge about nature. I hope that spring is coming soon on PEI. The daffodils are already blooming here in Northern Germany. Happy Easter 🐣
I had yarn chicken with my cable sweater and lucky me if though the dye lot is not the same you honestly can’t (it’s in one sleeve 🤦♀️🙇♀️) Love the podcast ❤
Love your projects. Bought the Wilona shawl pattern on EFT. Saw Kirk Dunn's beautiful creation on youtube. I'm crocheting the Escape shawl by Elena Fedotova. It's very relaxing.
I won't be there for the fiber festival, but I will be in PEI this summer for a cruise stop. Does your close anytime in the summer? I'm hoping to make it.
Your Wallflowers is absolutely gorgeous. So glad you can get back to it
...and loving it! That's the best part!
Thank you for another enjoyable episode,
Our pleasure!
Again, you ladies amaze me. Thank you so much. I missed Betsy of course, but you two did an awesome podcast together ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Kim your Wallflowers is stunning. I'm not a peach embracer either but it works lovely with your other choices.
Thank you Susan!
I LOVE that Wallflower blanket 😮😮😮❤❤❤
It is definitely coming along!
What beautiful fabric that has been knit and crochet. Beautiful ❤
Thanks!
Thank you! Another wonderful episode!!!!
Thanks!
OMG your hair looks amazing Simone!!
Isn't she cute!

Thanks for your comments. Yes, the fibre festival is very exciting. I am really enjoying working on the Wallflowers again.
So sorry to hear about Bunny Paige. I grew up a 10 minute walk from the Vet University in Guelph. They do amazing work.
Yes - having older pets is heartbreaking.
I love crocheting, knitting, and reading so this channel of yours has me well covered. Happy holidays to Betsy.
Yes we have all your angles covered! LOL
Beautiful knits and crochet. The shawl and sweater are gorgeous!
Thank you!
It is fun to see the crochet project pop out of it's winter hibernation!
Yes and I am really enjoying working on it.
Enjoyed your podcast again. I love Simone’s shawl. You mentioned the magic ball. I did that and made two pair of magic socks.
I would like to have hand knistted socks that magically appeared - now that would really be something! LOL

I am working on it everyday and am really enjoying the process. Now that the darker colours are coming in, I am liking it better.
Wow Kim your Wall Flowers is STUNNING 😊. Looking forward to the end product.
Thank you! I look forward to the end product as well ;-)
Beautiful crochet piece Kim…..
Beautiful work you guys!
Thank you Marie-Claire!

Thank you! 😊
Thank you for introducing me to The Mercerie; that is next level crochet for sure.
It is!
Oh Kim, I knitTreit this past winter and I made the exact same mistake! You make feel better for my mistake! Love your Treit
You have to think of a lot of stuff when you are preparing a project! LOL
Thanks Kim and Simone. Great discussion on yarn chicken. Not anybody’s favorite thing but if it happens you learn something. Great knits and crochet projects.
Our pleasure!
Kim, it was so good to see your Wall Flowers again. Looking forward to seeing the finished product by the end of April!!
End of April!!! LOL or do you mean next April? I am hoping to have it finished by September though.

Ha! Spindling for a week and then buying a wheel... obviously a crafter just like us!
Another amazing episode 💙
Thanks!
I usually buy yarn for the next size up.
Probably a good practice!

Simone, the Shawl is beautiful
It is really nice. The colour is even more special in person.
Simone, your new hair style is very nice on you :)
I think so too!
Another lovely and interesting podcast, thank you both. Happy Easter. ❤
Thank you Donna!

Such a lovely way to spend a quiet afternoon. Kim your Wall Flowers was just the ray of sunshine needed to brighten up the gray spring cold and damp. Happy Easter to those who celebrate 🐣
Thanks Dawn!
Another great podcast ladies. I loved the walk in the woods segment and would love if it could be repeated in the spring, summer and fall.
Yes we should do that - great idea!
Thank you for watching and commenting!
I like a really warm/thick mitten. I use leftover/ scraps of fingering yarn to knit a lining in the mittens. Extra warm, and use up leftover yarn :)
I am intrigued by the lined mittens. I think it is such a great idea.
You are inspiring me to puck up my Mercerie project and finish it. Doing the caplet, but changing to a top.
Oh nice. I am so enjoying doing Wallflowers! I can hardly wait to get home at night and work on it.
I had yarn chicken with my cable sweater and lucky me if though the dye lot is not the same you honestly can’t (it’s in one sleeve 🤦♀️🙇♀️) Love the podcast ❤
That is lucky! Good news!
Love your projects. Bought the Wilona shawl pattern on EFT. Saw Kirk Dunn's beautiful creation on youtube. I'm crocheting the Escape shawl by Elena Fedotova. It's very relaxing.
Are you coming to the PEI Fibre Festival?
Unfortunately I'm not able to make the trip.😿@@FleeceHarmonyPodcast
I won't be there for the fiber festival, but I will be in PEI this summer for a cruise stop. Does your close anytime in the summer? I'm hoping to make it.
We are open every day in the summer: 10 - 5 Mon - Sat. 12 - 5 on Sundays.
🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂❤
Yay!
Such pretty ladies. The nose ring takes away from the beautiful face. You are loved.
Pretty judgmental of you Kathleen
I think it's beautiful and suits her perfectly❤
I think it takes away from her natural beauty. My opinion differs from yours.
Simone, how do I find you on Instagram? Please.
You can find her @sandandskycreations
