TNA runs on a much smaller budget. The owners of Anthem Sports include at least one former billionaire, who is still worth several hundred million, and a few other wealthy people. The difference, of course, is they spend far less money and own the TV station that TNA airs on.
Their hatred for TNA is crazy at this point. Fans are at least happy about the success they are having, and with AEW being worse than WCW's worse we all need another promotion to step up.
Samoa Joe is filming the new season of Twisted Metal on THE COCK!!! But yeah, it’s a tv series so it takes a few months depending on how many episodes he’s in the new season.
I think Jim is underrating the idea of an AJ Styles TNA return for one final time. Imagine there’s an angle where some monster heel from TNA is destroying all of the TNA legends. Eric Young, Sharkboy, Amazing Red, etc.. Heel comes out and challenges any TNA legend for the biggest show in TNA history. Lights go out, crowd goes silent.. “Get ready to fly!” The crowd would blow the fucking roof off the building.

When I first became a wrestling fan long ago (before Vince), Toronto's Maple Leaf Gardens had events every two weeks, drawing between 12,000 - 14,000 fans.
I’m glad TNA is doing well. I’ve been watching a lot of TNA for the first time as of lately. I saw Joe Hendry and some other TNA talent at a recent wrestling show. As a casual fan who isn’t a wrestling insider nor is a person who lives and dies by every little thing that happens behind the scenes, I genuinely enjoy TNA. They have a good underdog feel.
I love Jim but TNA has gone through a real renaissance in the last 7ish years. Konnan and Scott D'Amore really rehabbed it hard since like 2017. Knock outs have always been fairly serious. He only hears the silly stuff and most of that was pandemic outlier shit. The quality and consistency is leagues better than AEW, it might not nearly have the highs but it never has the lows. Theyre just economical cause its run for about $5. Id love to hear some TNA reviews on the Drive Thru
If it was on cable I'm sure he'd love to watch it. I hear they get less than 50,000 viewers. I'm no expert but it feels like AEW's doing better in the demos. That's just the facts
Jim, with all of his viewing of AEW, would probably actually enjoy TNA given that they put on really good wrestling matches every show. Yes, they still do some goofy shit but who doesn’t anymore but I think he would be impressed with some of the actual talent that they have
I jumped back into TNA after AEW finally ran me off with the devil reveal last year. While I'll admit i give it more leeway than the big two as it is such a rinky-dink company, I've really enjoyed it. Not having to listen to Schiavone and Excalibur makes such a fucking difference.
If World War 3 ever happens the only things left afterwards would be cockroaches and TNA, and Jeff Jarrett would probably be wrestling the cockroaches in the main event.
Calling it now, since JBL has been popping up on TNA in seemingly an alliance with Dolph Ziggler, I see Nic Nemeth w/ JBL in his corner vs. either Joe Hendry or Santana with John Cena in his corner at Slammiversary.
Yet, the company cancelled the September 13-14 shows in Cleveland, OH, a day or so before tickets were slated to go on sale.....and moved the events to San Antonio.
TNA is trying to get back to weekly live TV as well via there app. Genesis in January I think is set up for like 5-6k people. I think they are hoping the momentum just keeps going up by the time they get to New York.
It's ambitious, but hey, I hope TNA can do it. If they can really pull off a big ppv in New York, in a major arena, a big NHL arena, near 20 000 capacity, that would be huge for them. It's really a no lose proposition. If they run the New York show and only half fill the building or less, whatever. It's TNA. No one expects much. But if they can really fill it, that's a massive win.
I got tickets for tna return to san antonio tx in january for impact tapings. They were in town for victory road ppv and next night impact tapings in september. The venue was small and supposedly attendance was about 2,000 or so in september. We'll see how many will be this time around next month. All I can say tickets prices were definitely more reasonable then the wwe for saturday night main event show on saturday. They will be in town on thursday and friday.
I've been watching TNA off and on, but I've really been watching it a lot more often over the last year. I really started enjoying it about the time that Jeff Hardy came back, and the tag division got a lot more interesting. For starters, what they have him on is crazy because Jeff has been on his shit and wrestling like a man in his 30s, substantially better than his AEW run. Secondly, noticing the crowds for their PPV's, i really think they can pull this off with maybe not a sellout, but at least %80 % capacity, no doubt
I don't get how all these people think UBS is NYC. Do they not know Long Island or do they mistake UBS for being in Queens due to it being close to the border?
For the NY show, besides losing seats for the stage, I think they'll get 10k. I haven’t been paying much attention to their product, but I have been impressed with their resurgence and attendance as of late.
aew forbidden door in the ubs arena this year got 11,000 people in attendance Imagine if tna gets that number or a little more what does that say about aew even more so with the roaster aew has compare to the roster tna has
For some reason WWE has only run one event at UBS Arena and it was a RAW in 2021. AEW has run it 5 maybe 6 times, most recently Forbidden Door. I’m hoping that since TNA is working close with WWE that this could bring the WWE back into the venue. I’d love to see an NXT Takeover come to NY again.
