This is exactly what I’ve been wanting to see!!! I’m 41, will be 42 in August, and I’ve been looking into some new skincare but I didn’t know where to start! Thank you Emily!!!!! 🤟🏼
This is no offense to Emily, but this is not her wheelhouse. I’d recommend you watch someone who knows more about skincare. Her recommendations here are very basic, and I wouldn’t personally use anything in this routine.
@@ambergerhelper7852 Not everything works the same for everyone, but I happen to have good results with most of Emily's recommendations. Have a great night!
So glad more people are on the Vanicream train! It’s been my go to cleanser for 5+ years. If anyone needs even an additional boost of moisture (without any more product), try applying your serums and moisturizer to your face while it’s still damp from splashing water or cleansing. This was a total game changer for me and now I don’t get dry patches anymore.
Emily, I have to say: you are like a big sister to me, a sister I never had as an only child and with no cousins! Almost everything I do, starting from my skincare and makeup, ending with what I wear and how I try to keep my relationships, I am doing following your example, and I feel that this could be relatable to so many girls and young women! You are a true role model! I love your vlogs and your authenticity, and wisdom! Please never stop doing what you're doing! Love from Greece! ❤❤❤❤❤
Oooh SO excited for this video from you!!!! Your skin is beautiful and I’m turning 30 this year. Being a sun child is starting to show 🫣 I am on a self care, get my pink back journey this year and skin health is one of my top goals 🥰
Hi Emily! Was just about to get ready for my day and pleasantly surprised to have my favorite entertainment to watch! Love the suggestion of ascorbic acid, I think now after 30, I would benefit from adding that. Thanks for being a part of my getting ready for the past decade! I have learned so much from you, both makeup related and life perspective insights! You’re just great!
Thank you for this skin care round-up, Emily! I ran out of my "The Ordinary" products and needed to be reminded what you were using, because your choices worked well for my 60-something skin. Turning 62 on Saturday, and I might treat myself. Thank you!!
Vanicream - love it The cleanser is in my shower. The daily moisturizer on my counter and the tub o' moisturizing cream in my drawer. I use all three products on the daily.
This! I was literally putting skincare in my cart between Sephora and Ulta...trying to pick and choose between high end and ELF/drugstore 😂. I will watch before I buy! Thank you, Emily ❤🎉
Your skin looks fantastic so we know it's working! I want to thank you so much for introducing us to Vanicream. My daughter's hands Get super dry cracked and red in the winter. Vanicream saves them! Then we put vaseline over top before she goes to bed. And I love the Vanicream vitamins C for my sensitive acne prone skin. best vitamin C I ever tried. ❤️
Thank you so much for this video Emily! I'm older and have sensitive skin and Rosacea. I had to go 10 yrs without any complexion makeup (just eyes and lips) to get the Rosacea under control. My dermatologist says the less products I use the better so I just cleanse and moisturize with CeraVe. I tried using Vanicream per your suggestion in another video and it worked great! And the great thing is both brands are totally affordable! Thanks a bunch!! :)
I'm so glad that you mentioned the Vanicream moisturizer months ago. I tried it and now it's one of 2 moisturizers I've found that don't aggravate my eczema flair ups. For SPF you should try Beauty of Joseon daily relief sunscreen.
i love vanicream products! i’m surprised to see no retinol in your nighttime routine! are you too sensitive for it (i had to stop using it because my sensitive skin just never got used to it!)
Very excited for this video! I’m such a fan of the Ordinary, and you turned me on to that a few years ago! I’ve been so into my skincare especially now that I’m 48 (in 2 days 🤣). Can’t wait to see what you have for us. ❤
I've tried so many vitamin C serums over the past 6 years and the Vanicream cream in the tube is my absolute holy grail now. It's great for my sensitive acne prone skin.
Thanks! Currently loving Lancome La Vie Est Belle L'Elixer - really nice rich scent- I notice a bit of berry. So good & different from anything else I own. Also enjoying the Bodycology mists from Walmart in general. Still enjoying my 4-pack that I picked up around the holidays! :)
Just turned 45, I'm your bday twin! Thanks for sharing, been watching you since you were Beauty Broadcast, always have a new takeaway from you! All the best to you and fam in 2025!
Take my word with a grain of salt because I haven’t tried either (yet), but if you’re ever interested in trying a cheaper alternative to the Advanced Night Repair, I’ve heard Manyo’s Bifida Biome Complex Ampoule is great and considered a dupe by some. It’s also sold at Ulta now too.
Hello Emily! I appreciate this video. Do you have any tips for baby-stepping towards more color? For context, my makeup routine is usually a quick eyeliner and a lip balm or mild lip color. I would love to have the confidence to build up to the looks that you're able to create. Your looks always have the perfect amount of color and look so beautiful & fierce. 🩵
I love skincare videos thank you for sharing that I have a question though I've noticed that you don't bring anything down on your neck. Being 63 years old and I feel that I have very good skin could be some genetics but I do take very good care of it and I really really feel that coming down onto the neck area is so important and you are 41 and if you don't do it I would encourage you to start it's just ages faster than our face coming from someone who is 62 actually I don't know why I put myself a year older LOL. Thank you for sharing this with us I really appreciate all that you do for all of us we all love you and adore you❤❤❤❤
Great advice!! I'm better about remembering this at nighttime, but almost never with my morning skincare. I really should be doing that! :D Thanks for watching & supporting what I do!
3:17 I found that Vitamin C serums can be drying so I really like Peter Thomas Roth Potent-C moisturizer. For budget I just discovered No7 Radiance+ Brightening Moisturizer. I have sensitive skin and these don’t bother me.
Hi Emily! Perfect content as always!! Just in the time when I needed to update my routine and have no big budget 😉 also, could you please recommend an alternative more economical brush for the sephora 56? Thank you🥰
Everyone needs to wear a sunscreen that they like. I found one at Costco that is from ROC that I really like for dry skin. My go to has been the Cerve brand one. But I’m liking the ROC one right now in the winter. We shall see how it goes in the summer time.
I use Vanicream and I love it. I started using it after seeing it in one of your videos. I use the ELF Holy Hydration skin cream. Thanks to you. I've used it for a long time now. Thank you for a great skincare video, Emily. It has been very helpful to me and we love you too.❤💗💜💛🌹🥀🪴💐
Thanks Emily, I love Estee Lauder products and makeup! I’m going to try the Elf Holy Hydration and the Vani Creme. I have Vani Crème lip product so I want to try the cleanser and face crème. Thanks ❤️
Thank you. I also use Advanced Night Repair. Your makeup would not look so fabulous if you didn't take care of your skin. I appreciate you sharing your skincare routine.❤
I have used Estèe Lauder Advanced Night Repair for 37 years, love the stuff. My Dermatologist recommended Avene moisturizing creme for my sensitive skin. I'll have to try the lip balm as well. Thank you for some good recommendations.
I love the Night Repair but I can’t afford it anymore. Pampered Wolf gave a glowing recommendation for the Makeup Revolution dupe. It saves me a lot of money and I love it.
I actually find the vanicream facial moisturizer greasy compared to the face and body cream. I experimented in the last year with various serums and moisturizers. I never noticed a difference in my skin. I'm 42 and I have minimal skin issues. So I keep it simple. Vanicream face wash, vanicream cream moisturizer and sunscreen. I do like a water moisturizer from bubble for day time or the summer when my skin isn't as dry. My fav sunscreen is native fragrance free mineral face sunscreen. No white cast, not greasy and goes on like a lotion.
I can't remember specifically where I heard it, but it was a recommendation for sensitive/dry skin. My skin has responded really well after years of using micellar water in the morning.
It’s better for the skin barrier to just rinse in the morning. If you slug or perspire a lot overnight, then you might need to cleanse. Otherwise it’s not necessary. We’ve been overdoing it on cleansing.
I used to use TO Hyaluronic acid serum but I found I was getting HA in other things, like the Timeless CoQ10 serum. CoQ10 helps boost sunscreen, and has Matrixyl 3000 in it, which has been shown to possibly boost collagen production. It has HA in it too. It's such a great serum all around!
Im buying the big tub of Vanicream on my next Walmart trip ( we've recently got it in store at Walmart Canada ). I also have very sensitive and exema prone skin as well, plus I've got about 15 years on Emily, so lots of moisture is very much appreciated 😁👍 / Thanks Emily.
