Thank you both for your time and posting. Is pball better... IMO, pro pickleball has been going downhill for the last four years. And I think you know why. ;) // Agree, the first MLPs were fantastic. I went to the one in Mesa AZ (Legacy), and I counted 11 cameras on the Championship Court alone (BoxCar Productions?). Now we are lucky to get three cameras on Championship Sunday (one camera throughout the week) and players are treated like crap. MLP went to crap when Steve Kuhn was fired last October // First PPA (PAA)Vietnam Open is October 18th - 20th at Đường Ven Biển, South Vietnam, I will be there if all works out. // Is PPA trying to slowly get rid of MLP so they can incorporate their Vibe format? // I was there at St. George when Zane did those spin serves. It was hysterical, even Alshon was smiling when he complained to the ref, who was oblivious. Tyson was 'finally' warned about his illegal serves // Just saw Lea Jansen through her paddle all the way across her court into the fence after losing to Chao Yi Wang. Will she get fined? Oh, that's right, she is one of PPA's golden girls (not very golden IMO). Nope. // Thank you again. :)
I don't think pickleball will make the Olympics in 2028. However, the 2028 Olympics hosted by LA will be a massive opportunity to showcase pickleball. While LA is the host city, Olympic events will be held all over Southern California and there are so many killer pickleball venues in So Cal.
I to feel like the broadcasting quality is lacking in APP and MLP. Arizona Pickleball League has the best template out there for broadcasting. Those broadcasting pickleball should build on that. I 💯 agree with Kristin, I just want to see the sport succeed and be fair.
lifetime fitness launches a new ball tomorrow (19th) called the Ultimate Pickleball fyi....supposed to be better than the vulcan and is expected to challenge it for PPA usage soon
Zane cheated by using that Spin serve not once but twice vs Alshon. There was no punishment and he literally laughed about it on his pod. Meanwhile Andrei ACCIDENTALLY submitted a practice paddle and got a 50k fine and 2 month suspension. So basically, PURPOSEFUL cheating DURING a match is FINE AND ACCEPTABLE And accidental submission of a paddle with some "stuff" on it is UNFORGIVABLE. I really don't like how this logic plays out. Make it make sense.
Great Pod!! Ladies!!! Pickle nation!
Great show! Lots of info to digest!
Yes!
Thank you!
