Dead ass I saw a druid in my raid tonight that had 4 unspent and I said hey you have 4 talent points you didn't spend and they said, "Yea I know I haven't decided what I want to spend them on yet."
We were raiding Sunwell Plateau.
to be fair talent points in WOTLK are like +2% damage. its not going to change anything.
@@Kugrox By your logic, it will change their damage by 2% * 4 = 8%, which is considerably greater than 0, and becomes increasingly considerable the longer the fight goes on.

Playing on a non streamer server is so nice. Almost everyone I've played with has been competent

In vanilla, I made it to level 40 before I even discovered talent points. My /played at that point was 34 days.

I remember my neighbor had 30 days played at level 51 because all he would do is duel outside of IF. I still think he's strange.
Don't feel too bad, my friend i was levelling with didn't discover class trainers until he hit lvl40 and i asked how he could afford a mount. He had been using lvl1 mortal strike and never thought hmm only one attack spell.

I had a friend playing a hunter and only using mele weapon . When I asked him why he said he ran out of arrows and he didn't know you can buy them . He was lvl 24 and he ran out at lvl 6 or so
Love the commentsection, some crazy stories in here haha. Reminds me of my friend who played paladin in wotlk and didnt know he could scroll down the talenttree, so all he did was maxing out the first few talents of the holy tree and then he went into protection to do the same. Nowadays you probably see the whole talenttree but back then with low res only like a quarter of it could be seen at once.
i had a friend who leveled a priest to 70 not knowing there was food and water, he did it with potions......

Of all the classes you can do this with, priest is the class for it. In class you spend 90% of your time wanding and healing yourself and secondarily Spirit is your fucking primary stat which gives mana back

@@warlordtf9608 dont get me started on my rogue friend, we were ending karazhan, he was geared and still doing less dps than tanks, went to his house one day and noticed he didnt know he had to apply poisons to his daggers........after that all our lives changed hahaha

Back in vanilla BC I bought WoW gold (I know I know, I was young at the time) and with that gold I bought new gear from the AH EVERY LEVEL. didn't matter what the stats were, as long as it was the same level as me. I was playing a druid and I'm sure I had mage shit, with some tanking gear, plus healer gear. I only ever got up to level 48 and I wondered why everything took so long to die. I was pretty young at the time (under 12 years old) and no idea what was going on.

I used to evaluate the gear purely by Defense. It didn't matter to me what bonuses it provides, if any, it has higher Defense - it has to be a better gear. Yeah, good old days.
Back in the day I saw that Gromsblood was selling pretty good on the AH. I picked up herbalism on my lvl 15 nightelf and ran all the way to Desolace only to find out that I'm too low to pick that herb.
I used to play fury warrior with shield and tanking gear and wondered why everything took so long as well xD somehow I got to level 60
On Vanilla launch, nobody knew what tanking was for dungeon, they just played game like it was Diablo. They did know though that they would die if they didn't have healer. So me as priest having to heal people who juggle agro whilst ignoring mobs hitting the healer. Then wonder why we can't clear Scarlet Monastry. Good times.

Receiving a talent and burying it is the quintessential example of unfaithfulness. It is the parable I point to whenever Breadtube wants to get on their high horse about fairness and equity. Whatever the 1 talent man didn’t spend, it is given to the man with 10 because he knows what to do with it.
I met a rogue once kitted out in cloth he was lv58 . Adamant that INT made his poision damage scale
There was a tbc private server once where rogue poisons scaled with spelldamage and the rogues did more damage in caster gear (outside of poison immune targets)
He might have found a guide based on this faulty Pserver

I often level up and forget that I got a talent point until I am already halfway to the next level.
i dont even understand how tf could you forget a talentpoint? those were so necessary and exciting for me to spend. whenever I dinged it was the first thing that happened, besides checking if i am properly specced 10 times a week. its just something that you cant forget and cant overlook if you're playing the game. most people are just active but not really playing, neither reading any abilities, understanding when to use them etc etc - something that just cant happen imo.

Reminds me of, coincidentally, my original WotLk days, when I had a warrior tank in my utgarde keep who literally went tree by tree maxing every 1st tier talent before going back to arms and starting on row 2, and so on. Iirc he also had a dagger because he liked daggers.

I had this issue as well actually because now we have the option to preview talents first before using the points and we need to click more than we are used to be sure that the talents are spent. Still pretty funny.

I wont even defend the gear, but there is an optional system in WOTL, where you can chose your talents, but have to click again to actually learn them. Maybe it happened to him. ^^

I dont know much but pretty sure Hunters going into WOTLK should be playing Survival until they have enough armor penetration for Marksmanship, also in Wrath they'll have explosive shot. Maybe Beast Mastery for Pvp or for letting pet tank in open world but in a raid, no way.
Not on pre patch.. MM at lvl 70 is better.. but you are correct, at lvl 80 hunters will start as survival.

13 years ago, I decided to make a warlock because I tougth he can auto attack with his demon ( X2 dommage) and he can use a Sword xD
That is how warlocks finish melee classes. If they want to really rub it in. You were on the right track ;-)
