    I just got into pottery making and this is the best method to cut the joint 😲🤯 they didn’t teach us this even in a college course I went to - thank you for sharing your knowledge 💛

    Thanks Jane just found you and I hope you can help me please, I am struggling to make a clay Mushroom, a tall one, fairy take shaped …any tips please, about 6-8” high and same width with shaggy edges, I want to fire it and glaze it. With no stalk but to make a mobile with my fused glass icicles…! (ps I am 88 !) live in N Cornwall. Thanks. VR

    Sorry,misspelled words awhile ago ,you can use a flat paddle and very gently spank the part where you want to start curving.You wont have the ripples in the clay.hope this helps
