But where will the spice come in at the applesauce want give out that much. Have you ever tired using spice cake with eggs and applesauce its great its really like ginger bread cake really good 👍
If you like a heavier cake instead of light, you can omit the eggs and use only 8 ounces of applesauce. Another modification would be to use a small packet of pudding mix and add 4 more ounces of applesauce. That way, you can use a simple yellow cake mix but add whichever flavor of pudding you like and get that flavor of cake. It doesn't work as well with chocolate because they're a drier cake. Add applesauce again until it looks right.

Your Applesauce is an egg substitute. Not an oil substitute. And I would use butter instead of oil.
I know I cannot be the only person coming here to comments to suggest using a spice cake, and less eggs.
