I actually have a snap-on clicker torque wrench and the last time I used it on a water pump bolt it broke off in the engine block, and I triple checked that I had the wrench set correctly. For smaller bolts I like the beam type because I haven't broken anything with one yet.
Having a chordless ratchet, but using a beam torque wrench? At least get a clicker, you mad lad haha
