    Put mine on my 2021 accord 2.0t Sport two days ago. Very heavy snow here (over 15 inches). Handled the roads great. Didn't get stuck and was passing many SUV's with 'all seasons' on . I rate these tires a 10.

    I live in northern Minnesota - in the States- where we have 7 months of winter (used to be 9 months) and these are the best all-season tires in 24 years of driving. I got 2 tires in December and 2 tires in February and my traction is amazing. Only chains work on ice & are not practical in urban areas. I love these tires. I recommend them for anyone who has to deal with the weather while driving.

    We recently installed a set on our Mercedes c220 and just drove from the UK to Kosovo and back to rescue two dogs. Naturally going through mountainous countries like Montenegro in February we experienced a lot of snow crossing tight, steep, snow covered roads with hundreds of hairpins and deep snow sections. Not once did they falter, they performed as well as a winter tyre could be expected to and even on the tightest, steepest switchbacks they still delivered admirable drive. Honestly, I have no intention of running any other tyre for the foreseeable future as the crossclimate 2 is just so good.

    To be honest, this happens with with my winter tyres when riding in 2wd. As soon as I flip it to awd/4wd it moves with ease. Up in the alps you see 2wds struggling with slight inclines and not much snow all the time, and everyone's on full winter tyres November to April here. That said, using a 2wd as a reference, tells a better story, as if you can do it in 2wd, then you can do anything!

    I've owned numerous winter tires from Michelin and Hankook, and the Crossclimate 2 has been the equal to all of them on both ice and snow. Unless someone really wanted studs or protect their alloy rims, I don't see a need for seasonal tire changes anymore.

      @Paulo Zavala I’ve never driven on Nordic tires, but the CC2 perform as well as the Michelin X-Ice 2 Latitude. “Jack of all trades master of none” doesn’t really apply to this tire in comparison to dedicated all-season touring and winter tires.

    In my experience with Cross climate plus and the Cross climate 2 when they get to around three to four years old the rubber starts to harden and they become less pliable and don't work as they should and tend to act more like summer tires, they have a long tread life these tires and I think people think that if they have plenty tread they will still act like they should, I replaced my Cross climate 2 in January the car was getting stuck more than it should and its a fulltime 4x4 with locking diffs the tires were not gripping and acting as they should they were down to 4mm tread depth I live in a heavily mountainous area that can get snowed in for Weeks, i went to a full winter tire this time I just did not want to take the risk of sliding my two Tonne car off a mountain side, I just change them out in early summer now to M&S tires that have a harder compound to suit the rise in temp.

    Excellent. Real terrain testing is something that lab testing tracks lack ( flat terrain). Drivers however, want information on different types of terrains. I live in the Pacific Northwest. It is mountainous. Rain, snow, Ice, vary depending on your altitude (Micro Climates). Generally, snow in the mountains & passes. Dry in the lowlands. Weather forecasts models are generally not reliable. I have one negative point. It would be helpful to point out to your viewers what type of vehicle your tires are on (2/AWD). AWD’s handle & drive differently. Thanks.

    They have been voted the No1 Tyre in Europe since 2015.
    I have an Isuzu dmax pickup 2014. I have lattertude cross tyres fitted which are the for runner of the cross climate 2 tyres. Which l must say are a great Tyre here in Greece.
    Will l be changing to the cross climate 2. Answer YES as soon as this set wear out. Been a Michelin man all my life and swear by the make.Long life great road handling in all conditions.
    I'm 71 yrs of age so know something about tyres.

      Thessaloniki. I use a Michelin specialist here. Never any issues getting the new stuff. Same day or next day they'll have them.

      @DriveTuneMedia hi, l live in the Mani ,in the Peloponnese.
      Nearest city is kalamata. Seems the further south you go the more remote you are from outside world. Only joking 🙃. But life is good here and Tyre people very helpful, thumbs 👍 up.

    Nice video. Snow traction is impressive. Good for mountain roads without winter service - but, sorry, who needs that, and how often? The most situations in Germany and Switzerland, when I was relieved to have a tyre with good winter capabilities was something else: breaking on cold, almost frozen, wet roads and breaking on roads with icy spots that suddenly appear, eg in a shady bend. I dont trust that this tire, which has no lamellae, will be good in those situations. Although it is temping because you save a lot of money with only one set, it is no option for me. Safety first. Think about it guys.

      Hi! "lamellae" is what?

    • @marka980
      @marka980 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is NO tire that can safely handle "Black Ice" in shady areas of the roadway. If, at anytime you think it is there, it probably will be. SLOW the hell down!!

    I was wondering how is tire noise in compare to EcoContact 6?

    • @DriveTuneMedia
      @DriveTuneMedia  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe a tiny bit noisier but that's only because the EcoContacts are very quiet.

    These are absolutely the worst tires for any type of snowy conditions they should be ashamed of themselves having a three snowflake peak on their tires I'm very disappointed. I put them on a Nissan Altima

    • @SagaciousFrank
      @SagaciousFrank ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The three peak snowflake is independently tested and assigned, not decided by the manufacturer of the tyre, so methinks you're talking rubbish.

      @@SagaciousFrank Actually, no. The manufacturers test and put The three peak snowflake by themselves. Look it up, it is all a big shitshow. That means that specific sets of tires either meet or exceed the prerequisite capability requirements put in place by the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) to determine whether a tire is fit for use in severe snow conditions. It is sometimes referred to as 3PMSF in shorthand, or “snowflake” tires.

    Wished you let up on the accelerator/ gas pedal. Spinning tires like that get you no where's. No vehicle should roll backward or downhill. The idea is slow and steady progress going up the hill.
    Apparently the hill has too much ice even on the slight incline proved they were not good and from your demonstration, Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires probably only good in light snow. They are not a 3Peak rated tire as claimed. Just get real Snow Tires and forget about this crappy overrated Michelins. Thanks for providing a useful video to determine that all those Tire Magazines do lie to people. No wonder I have never bought Michelin tires, they are bad at everything.
