One of my favorites, Minnie Riperton died so young from Cancer, in her 30's. This young lady has talent ! WOW

@jackig389 of course, I have heard the original and many others singing it, including myself. However, I still say this performer did a good job at 11 yrs old.
Impressive, moved me. I've watched many people sing "loving you", but this little girl was the one who was closest to Minnie Riperton. Fantastic!

She is fanastic at only 11 years old. I was quite surprised that there are a few others that can hit that high note, among them, Sarah Main. Check her out, I think she does it at 14.

I love the very Minnie esque expression here :) Not to mention how much surprising .... valiance there is the chestier moments, that lend this cover an air of self assurance and honesty. Very pleasing to the ear and not a great departure from the timeless original albeit with a few changes here and there to the vocal line.
Also the vibrato lent in the 6th octave like that was nice too. Just a touch more relaxation methinks, but the glide down to a solid but sweet head voice was great.
I prefer this cover over a lot of the big TV talent show covers, where the notes are hit, but the magic often obliterated.
