Minnie's version is so sweet and chill. She wrote the song with her husband and they seemed so so in love. She doesn't go all crazy and doesn't applaud herself for it. She just goes on singing the rest of the song. Best hands down.

Head voice is usually a tone produced by the head or the pressure is something felt on the head. It's not as airy as a falsetto. As a whistle note uses more air so it's like a very high falsetto. That's nit the exact explanation but that's how I can out it on simpler terms. Whistle tones are mostly high notes at least a5 and an example ie Mariah Carey's signature style 🙂

There’s no comparison to the naturalness of the one and only Minnie, so beautiful, her spirit shines through effortlessly with happiness and grace.
As much as I love all of the covers, they can’t just replicate the romance Minnie exuded whenever she performed this song. This song is about being so madly in love and having butterflies in your belly, yet being sensual. I feel like most singers who sing this forget about the meaning of the verses and focus too much on the whistle part. But they are all great vocalists!❤️

Minnie sang with pipe register- most here are whistle register (=falsetto)- there is a BIG difference- Minnie was a real coloratura soprano and operatic trained with a natural feeling for soul music.

@@justinmaryland1081 i’m a singer and i can tell you for a fact only 2 vocalists in the entire compilation were not using a head voice and it’s because they obviously have a really wide range and have been very strictly vocally trained. it’s extremely difficult to belt out notes that high at some point you have to go into your head voice, not even necessarily because it’s easier but it just sounds better
