Slow cookers are one of the best inventions ever! When I was young we did foil packet dinners at church camp. We used thinly sliced potatoes and carrots, some of us had onion, and then we topped it off with a hamburger patty and cooked it over our campfire. Delicious! Thank you for bringing back that sweet memory, and for the wonderful recipes.

We are snowed in but have no fear, I have most of the ingredients to make
Colorful Chicken Chili in my pantry. I don’t have any fresh chicken so I’m using canned Kirkland chicken from my pantry. With the addition of a fresh bell pepper, onion, and garlic, I was able to put together this chili in about 30 min. It’s cooking and will be perfect for the cold night ahead. Thank you Jennifer! You really do a very nice job with your cooking videos!!

I have used pressure cookers for last 39 years. I can have these meals on the table tender an lovely in under 30 minutes. Pressure cookers also tenderise meats so quickly. They are also energy efficient, where I am electricity is just outrageously priced. If you have never used a pressure cooker, so worth a go. My whole lemon Jam is is is also a doddle.

I LOVE Mongolian beef and white chicken chili!!
I’ve never made Mongolian beef in the slow cooker. I actually made Mongolian Beef last week with the *Rasa Malaysia* recipe but it was in my Wok, and somehow I made it too salty and it didn’t turn out. So sad, cause it’s my husband’s favorite, and I’ve made it correctly in the past.
I want to try your stroganoff, too. Praise the Lord for the invention of the Slow Cooker! I use it at least once a week but even more in the winter, and it’s so nice to not have to stand in the kitchen when the hours are shorter in the winter, and that way you can spend more time with the children when the days are shorter.
Years ago, I learned how to utilize the slow cooker from *The Family Freezer* blog /website/cookbook. It was so helpful!
My favorite White Chicken Chili is the recipe from *Mel’s Kitchen Cafe* blog. I actually won 3rd place in a church Chili cook-off with it, amid 50 other chili’s!
I love your cooking videos! They are so inspirational 💖

Hi Jennifer! These are wonderful recipes! I made the mistakes of cooking broccoli in my slow cooker once and I swore I would never do it again. I am not a huge cooked carrot lover, but something about carrots and chili just works!

Love the salmon/fish foil recipe. I've tried this before with out the veggies, but would like to include it next time. I usually cook them separately. My question is if anyone knows if you create 4 individual size servings and place them in the oven do you have to increase the time it cooks because there is more volume? I would assume so but I've noticed this to mostly be true with baking. Just wondering. Thanks so much.

Thanks for some new ideas! I like that you used what you had, even for a TH-cam video. I would have to chop my veggies smaller. I don’t Ike big chunks like that, especially soup. You put the fish packet in a casserole dish, so I wonder why you don’t just save some foil and eat less aluminum by putting the food in the dish and just covering it. Besides cleanup, I don’t see a benefit to the foil pack because you would still get a seal by covering the dish.

Hi Jennifer, maybe I'm clueless but I'm not sure what you meant about the fish recipe. Do you mean that you make a foil packet for each family member and put them all in the slow cooker at the same time? You may be laughing right now! I was thinking maybe it's actually a recipe for the oven. LOL. I'm not great with cooking fish so I thought I'd ask for clarification. Love your videos and appreciate you so much. ❤️😊

I’m honestly surprised that an elegant and intellectual woman like you consumes that much meat, when we all know our planet is suffering! and BTW meat wrapped in eco-friendly packaging is the funniest thing I have heard in a while! I love watching your videos but I find they make me so sad lately. I live in Canada and our country has been destroyed. We will now be facing food shortages due to Trudeau mandating the vaxx for truckers. All we can do is fix our eyes on Jesus; the author and perfecter of our faith.

There are a variety of shortages all across the U.S., or prices are up so high the item may be on the shelf but it is not affordable for many. This channel does not reflect a "median income" American lifestyle 😉
