The Japanese intro wasn't random, I remember reading that they used it to signal that the episode was going to have a heavier or darker tone to it Edit: I got it backwards, the English was for the more serious episodes and the Japanese was for the more lighthearted episodes, fact checked myself xD

Teen Titans is such an incredible show. I watched it religiously as a kid and teen. And it always amazed me how they balanced the characters. I mean they made Robin who's normally just a punching bag, comic relief, or even a damsel in distress a certified badass and he NEVER felt weak even in the presence of those with powers. I don’t know how they did it, but its the reason why Robin is my second favorite Titan. Raven obviously the best. :) Also, fun fact: Killer Moth's home is based on the Brady Bunch house.
Teen Titans is one of my all time favorite animated DC superhero cartoons, It was a totally badass show! Though it still sucks that they ended the show with a massive unresolved cliffhanger.
I’m not sure if Jordan gets into it (I’m only one hour on my watch so far lol) but the Teen Titans GO! movie hinted that we would get an update…and then I stopped paying attention. RIP me
The original teen titans animated series was so awesome an absolute classic with the brilliant combination of overarching storylines mix of compelling drama and light hearted comedy the great character arcs team dynamics the coming of age themes and lessons in growing up its a very well rounded show absolutely love it
I still rewatch episodes on Saturdays… this show means so much to me. From the theme song to the plots even the silly ones, all are dear and near to me
Realizing that possible-future Beast Boy had succumbed to his self-conscious ways and quit hero-ing…then realizing that Young Justice Gar essentially battles depression and also quits hero work is pretty profound. It seems a bit part of the BB character is about combatting inner demons like mental illness 😢
Yea and you know I think that that future is only because he wasn’t ready for solo yet. He needed those few years on the titans to learn and grow before he could really make it on his own
4.5 WTF !!! Anyway, I always loved Cyborg the most. Kind, stouthearted, and smart. That talk between him and starfire about understanding prejudice was very moving. "Of course I know... I'm a cyborg."
I remember being a kid and nervously asking my mom in the middle of the night if she would allow me to watch Teen Titans when it was new, because it had Teen in the name and looked more adult like. She told me maybe, depends but she was trying to sleep so of course she said whatever to get me to leave her alone.
My bed time was after teen titans aired. But at the time I was in a shared room with someone who had a tv. So I’d just sneak over there, turn on the volume to 3 and watch it anyway!
3:19:57 honestly I never interpreted this as everyone literally laughing at her. I always thought it was just her mind blowing everything out of proportion and making her feel more insecure.
Given how iconic Teen Titans has become, I hope that there will be a in-depth breakdown of all the seasons. Season 4 and The End trio logo will be an amazing piece to analyze.
I feel like one of my favorite episodes in this entire series has to be only human. The reason being it subtly says that even though we as a human being think we are giving hundred percent effort we can always push ourselves to go past what we thought was our limit. Cheesy? Very much so. Simple truth? Yes. But how many people are taught this at a young age anymore. The best part of it being I still get emotional with cyborg as I watch it.
This show was integral to my childhood like no other, it's one of the shows that me and my brother and sister would all gather in one of our rooms with snacks when they did big marathons and whatnot (it was always the room of whoever had the biggest TV)

I'm seeing Slade trying to destroy Batman's influence in the symbolism of the battle here. This show is great!
I loved teen titans as a kid. The intro got me pumped up for the show every time. The development of the characters was awesome for a cartoon. Avatar will always be number 1 for me, but Teen Titans is not that far behind.
I remember watching Final Exam air first (and the preview for Sisters) and was thinking, "They lose THAT bad in episode 1? Dang!" It was different and reminded me of the darker 80s animated movies. Been rooting for Robstar since the airing of episode 2 ❤

Jordan is easily one of the hardest working TH-camrs I've seen. Blessed to have lived long enough to see people like Jordan make several hour videos on shows and games I grew up loving. Thank you for the weeks/months of effort you put into these videos. They never fail to make my day brighter
One of the better written video essays. You linger on and write about plot points, characterization, development and random titbits the perfect amount of time. You paint a great picture of the show both with your writing and visuals. It feels very "complete" is how I would describe it. Needless to say, I'm subscribing. Can't wait for part 2.

This is a great video, I enjoyed every single second of it. Teen Titans is my fav childhood show, I remember that I ran back home after school just to watch the premiere of season 2 finale.
It is crazy to me how 16 years later I remember every single one of these episodes as you go through them. I was never even massively invested in Teen Titans (I think), guess it goes to show how many re-runs I must have seen.
I loved the 2003 Teen Titans cartoon as a young teen.. the animation, the designs, the stories, the voice acting... all top notch. plus Raven 😍. The only thing I ever didn't like was the last episode that was all over the place and felt like it was meant to be the first episode of a new season story arc rather then a tacked on final episode that aired randomly, weeks after the previous episode ( and it was on a weekday cartoon Network block called Miguzi ( no idea how i still remember its name) instead of toonami like the other episodes and referred to as a "never before seen episode"
It had me hooked on episode one. I knew after the first episode went off....I NEEDED MORE. One of those shows that made me forget about the hardships of school and my life as a whole. My brain was instantly happy everytime this came on. I'd try my hardest to catch each episode lol. Truly made my imagination race.
I remember playing the Flash games on CN's website, a lot of them were endless scrollers but I remember a game where you played as Beast Boy and it was a legit puzzle platformer with actual levels. I never finished it but I remember playing it a lot. The only other show that had that complex of free flash games online was Totally Spies for some reason.

I just binged this show and the trouble in Tokyo movie after not seeing it since I was a little kid and wow it’s even better than I remember. Great animation, characters, stories, lessons, drama, light hearted humor, goofy funny episodes along with serious heavy compelling deep episodes. It’s a mix of everything its one of those cartoons that can be enjoyed by kids and adults. God the theme song is such a banger I catch myself humming it all the time.
4 and a half video is only part one. Mane this why I love this channel🤣💯 And one thing that completely jogged a forgotten memory for me was the lil commercial break scenes. I remember a lot of my childhood and content from CN I use to watch, but there are certain little things that are embedded deep in my memory. Those scenes were one of them and it’s crazy how much seeing them brought me back rq

I'm over three hours in (It's my last day of vacation and I've been on a huge Teen Titans binge this last week) and as I watch the video, I want to watch an episode that you talk about but then I just keep watching the video itself because it's that good and your passion really comes through which is something so lacking in modern TH-cam videos.

puffy ami yumi is so severely underrated like some of their music seriously deserves to be up there with some of the most popular songs over here. nice is seriously one of the best albums of all time and i wish they didn’t erase all traces of it from music streaming apps.
Teen titans was one of those few shows I watched as a kid that still sticks with me today. When I think of shows I wish they'd continue, teen titans is at the top of the list. It did so well blending real topics with fun and beautiful animation
I grew up with Teen Titans and Batman Beyond, which helped stoked my love and appreciation for western animation. Then I discovered Young Justice later on and it blew me away, becoming my absolute favorite. I love this universe sooo much and wish we could have more well developed shows like we used to.
I remembered Teen Titans like it was yesterday, especially watching it with my old man back in the day (we're rewatching the series now currently as we speak) and also Robin being best boy in my heart ;)
Literally one of the most memorable series for me. Wasn’t really old enough to comprehend the show seeing as I was 4 when the series ran but I managed to catch it on Boomerang in the late 2000s. Ended up rewatching the whole series a couple years ago and surprisingly remembered every single episode from when I was younger. Honestly they should’ve just finished the show, a real bummer they left it on a cliffhanger other than Trouble in Tokyo.
I've always wondered how people who grew up with the comic series would've reacted at the first sight of an anime-esque cartoon of some of the titans with a different design from the original, if social media as of today's standards existed back on the day. I wonder if its initial reaction would've been as bad as TTGO's was.
I say it because us who grew up with the original cartoon hated TTGO at the first sight. But I wonder what the older generation thought about the cartoon? I personally can't stand their comic book designs.
@2:11:12 If you ever run into a copy of the original Xbox version of Teen Titans at a garage sale/swap meet, you have found a cheap treasure as it is currently around $300/350 compete in box with manuals and $100ish just a loose disk due to low printing volume for Xbox.
So I started watching a little older, probably around age 11 way after teen titans had aired. I used to record every episode and go through every one until I realized I had watched every single episode several times over. I then watched trouble in Tokyo on a kindle that buffered every 5 seconds. I was COMMITTED

I remember the Tera story line leaving me devastated as a kid. Even before knowing what love truly was, it cut me deep.
Slade was hands down one of the best villains in the entire DCAU.

I remember playing the Flash games on CN's website, a lot of them were endless scrollers but I remember a game where you played as Beast Boy and it was a legit puzzle platformer with actual levels. I never finished it but I remember playing it a lot. The only other show that had that complex of free flash games online was Totally Spies for some reason.

I just binged this show and the trouble in Tokyo movie after not seeing it since I was a little kid and wow it’s even better than I remember. Great animation, characters, stories, lessons, drama, light hearted humor, goofy funny episodes along with serious heavy compelling deep episodes. It’s a mix of everything its one of those cartoons that can be enjoyed by kids and adults. God the theme song is such a banger I catch myself humming it all the time.
Not sure if it's been mentioned but I really enjoy the little bumpers/ breaks that you add in your longer videos!

Just want to give massive props on this video. I'm over three hours in (It's my last day of vacation and I've been on a huge Teen Titans binge this last week) and as I watch the video, I want to watch an episode that you talk about but then I just keep watching the video itself because it's that good and your passion really comes through which is something so lacking in modern TH-cam videos.

I think it’s wild that this property that everyone loves has never had it’s due in the line of Adult Swim remakes like Samurai Jack. I get why TTG is good business for them, but there’s no reason they need to be exclusive with the titans

Watched this show few times already, and after watching this video, which is basically retelling of a few seasons(I am not saying that this is a bad thing btw) I am going to rewatch this show again. This is my favorite cartoon and my comfort show. Thank you for reminding me about it. Now i`m gonna watch it again.
puffy ami yumi is so severely underrated like some of their music seriously deserves to be up there with some of the most popular songs over here. nice is seriously one of the best albums of all time and i wish they didn’t erase all traces of it from music streaming apps.

Teen titans was one of those few shows I watched as a kid that still sticks with me today. When I think of shows I wish they'd continue, teen titans is at the top of the list. It did so well blending real topics with fun and beautiful animation

I grew up with Teen Titans and Batman Beyond, which helped stoked my love and appreciation for western animation. Then I discovered Young Justice later on and it blew me away, becoming my absolute favorite. I love this universe sooo much and wish we could have more well developed shows like we used to.
I remembered Teen Titans like it was yesterday, especially watching it with my old man back in the day (we're rewatching the series now currently as we speak) and also Robin being best boy in my heart ;)
Literally one of the most memorable series for me. Wasn’t really old enough to comprehend the show seeing as I was 4 when the series ran but I managed to catch it on Boomerang in the late 2000s. Ended up rewatching the whole series a couple years ago and surprisingly remembered every single episode from when I was younger. Honestly they should’ve just finished the show, a real bummer they left it on a cliffhanger other than Trouble in Tokyo.

I've always wondered how people who grew up with the comic series would've reacted at the first sight of an anime-esque cartoon of some of the titans with a different design from the original, if social media as of today's standards existed back on the day.
I wonder if its initial reaction would've been as bad as TTGO's was.
I say it because us who grew up with the original cartoon hated TTGO at the first sight.
But I wonder what the older generation thought about the cartoon? I personally can't stand their comic book designs.
