Nuova CMM Beams Welding Line TBL

I am speaking from Bangladesh, I am a CMM machine operator, two machines of CMM company came to Bangladesh, I have uninstalled both, I have been operating CMM machine for the last five years, I have operated several welding machines apart from the machine of CMM company, Such as HD horizontal welding machine, korimpaux auto welding machine and Grinty auto welding machine, I have been involved in the auto welding machine for the last 10 years, working so long that I realized that CMM company's machines do the best welding work and very well. There are advantages, the best machine I see is auto welding machine from CMM company, it is possible to weld I-Beem, U- beem, Box beem, Star beem by CMM machine. Even there is a good advantage of flux heating through the machine. Which I have not seen in any other welding machine till now. I am saying these words from my experience of running CMM companies.

Why is the weld started in so far from the ends ? Isn't that what run off tabs are for ?
