💪🏾💪🏾this is the funniest reaction I ever heard in response to this bullshit ass Aaliyah movie. Thank you bro for the humor you gave us to show how bad this film was, and even goin the extra mile to show the mediocre move that I didn't even bother to notice. Keep doin ya thing slime 💯
Selena was 23 when she died but the biopic was approved by her family and served as more of a love letter rather than an exposé. Plus it catapulted J.Lo's career to new heights. I agree. If done properly an Aaliyah biopic could be worth telling. However it is going to take a special kind of care to tell her story right in order to not tarnish her overall character.
@@phillipwattsjr.4714yes Elise Neal played the Gladys part saying you know this is my niece when she invites a young aaliyah to accompany her during a live performance.
Saying this "movie" was trash is still being too nice. She may have lost her life at 22, but she lived long enough that a more comprehensive and respectful story could have been told. Selena was 23 when she was tragically unalived and yet the biopic of her life was very well done without being salacious and tacky. ATP, if another project involving Aaliyah's life story is told, it should not be supported unless the family is 100% behind it.
This is one of the worst biopics in movie history. You can tell Wendy Williams had her man hands all over this movie because it's full of her gossip show talking points.
Side note Elise Neal could have been a good Gladys Knight. I had to do a double take for a second. She was the only closest resembling the person portrayed.
I remember watching this when it came out and it was just horrible. The movie only focused on R Kelly plus the family didn’t approve of the movie at all so that’s why there is none of her music in the movie. I hated it I’ve only seen it once
I didn't know so many actresses were offered the part. They read the script and said nah bruh 😂 if any of those actresses took the part that would've RIPed their career
I know they didn’t offer kiely Williams that Aaliyah role they better stop playing with me smh. This movie was horrible the actors and actresses were horrible and nobody looked like any of the real people smh! Didn’t they say her uncle got all that money when she died because he had insurance on her? Idk man I wish Aaliyah was still here. I have so many of her shirts and hoodies man I will spend bank with anything on Aaliyah.
This scene reminds me of the rumor I heard as a youth; about her having a lazy eye. The reason why they said that was because her hair always covered her one eye 8:11
As a person who knew her through some Female friends that went to School with her, this Movie offended the Hell out of me. Every aspect of it is bullshit. It all boiled down to an R. Kelly Hit Piece at the end of it. I totally knew why the Family didn't support this nonsense.
what in the radio disney 😳 chile smh wendy set it up her movie was better they should've went off the same as the fans did when power's theme song switched up.
😭😭😭 between the R Kelly snippet to the narration 😂😂 hilarious thank you for taking the clouds away and bringing out the sun . I never laughed so hard 😂😂😂
Fun fact the guy who plays her brother in the movie lookin like Drake he was also in Degrassi along with Aubrey Graham aka Drake tho they were in different seasons so they were never in a scene together
NO! I dont pay attention to what a bunch of dumfuq idiots are doing. I just wanna make pahsitive and meaningful content mmkay. And if you bring it up again, you're banned! *snort*
This movie is one of the worst music biopics of all time. Here are some fun facts: Alexandria Shipp was also in Drumline 2, Straight Outta Compton & X-Men: Apocalypse. Uncle Robert played by Lyriq Bent was also in Four Brothers & Acrimony. Can we please get a review on the following music biopics: My Struggle The Boosie Bad Azz Story Love Under Love Management The Miki Howard Story The Nina Simone Story All Eyez On Me The Bobby Debarge Story

@@DavidKen878 yup. Gregory Nava
Agreed
The main actress that played Aaliyah is acting like she is in a Disney Princess movie.
And they portray R Kelly as Prince Charming!
@@phillipwattsjr.4714 Bingo. 🙂
@@phillipwattsjr.4714exactly ugh he looked like Joe too and that talking with his teeth clinched together to get the accent down.
R Kelly looks like JOE in this movie..Ironically, Joe says Kelly tried to get him blackballed in the industry(allegedly)
Gladys Knight is Aaliyah's aunt by marriage.
Was that explained in the movie?

Honestly, it shouldn’t have been made. R.I.P baby girl. 🕯️🕊️Can’t believe it will be 22 years she’s been gone!
Keshia Chante would’ve made a fire Aaliyah. Idk wtf they were thinking with the skinny Missy and Timbaland cuz they were chubby back in the day.
Aaliyah is probably turning in her grave over this trash movie 🤦
This is one of the worst biopics in movie history. You can tell Wendy Williams had her man hands all over this movie because it's full of her gossip show talking points.
exactly and her damn movie was better it's on tubi now 😂.
Of course the Asian guy passed the camera quickly; I’m guessing that was supposed to be JET Li 😅
They really got black Scarlett Johansson to play "aaliyah*.
😂
🤣🤣🤣
😂😂 Haha, I didn’t notice until I read your comment.
@@LynnE507 when you see it it's hard to unsee it!

Wendy Williams movie was better than this and that's a shame
It was purposely done smh .
that mess is on tubi now 😂😂.

Elise Neal did not look like gladys knight in this movir.
3:11 The chick that's interviewing Zendaya looks more like Aaliyah than her😂.

literally!! it’s so distracting
I just realized that

13:30 😂 even missy and timb said what the heck .

😂😂🤣😂🤣😂 at the missy character
Not the moesha on the end... Haha
I dont remember a thing about the movie except the affair with r kelly that they pushed on the audiance

She ain’t even close to the badder Modern missy elliot and missy was still bad back then so this just a L 😂😂😂😂

That movie was trash for real why can't they make a great biopic like straight outta Compton for other's I don't understand this

Heck they coulda cast Mo'Nique
