I loved it in the sims 2. You'd tell a sim to do something they wouldn't want to do and they'd look you dead in the eye and vocalize a complaint, often with arm gestures included, before going to do the thing.
Yes, cross stitching is easy to get into. But be warned, you'll end up with containers after container of partial skeins of floss (the thread) cause you'll "need" all the colours before you're satisfied. And then suddenly you'll have a room that's just filled with boxes of fabric and partial projects and books with patterns. And that doesn't even get into the "what do you do with them when they're done" conundrum.
I needed some floss colours to do some small stuffed decorations for Halloween. Needed only a few colours as I already had some. Ended up ordering the entire DMC Etoile set because sparkly is pretty (I didn't need sparkly for the decorations) and maybe 10 shades of each of the colours I really wanted. 🤦 Oops. Had to buy myself a larger tin to store them in. LOL Had to stop myself buying the DMC thread storage chest which has one of each colour of the regular weight floss in it. The drawers on it are so cute. It looks like a Victorian furniture piece. 😍
“I’m really attached to this family” Moments later “can you use the bathroom and can you duck off. It’s nearly time for the show and I will not have it ruined by some kid” 😂
When making cakes for birthdays it honestly depends on the sim's age and personality, but I do like using the hamburger cake for the toddler-to-child birthday event because I think a 5 year old would love a hamburger cake
I had a hamburger cake for my 6th birthday. I knew a lady in her 20s-30s who bought herself a hamburger cake for her birthday. Hamburger cakes are awesome. Lol
Probably just me, but as someone who has expelled a tiny human from my body, seeing her poor sim woohoo right after giving birth made me cringe hard 😂.
cross stitching is a really fun and easy skill to learn. you can make the things that the sims do or you can decorate bags and clothes. the options are endless. it takes a very long time to finish something, though.
8:38 if anyone was wondering, cross stitch is like an easier version of embroidery (source: just finished a cross stitch project) i started learning it when i was 9 so if anyone is looking for a relaxing cottagecore hobby i definitely recommend
I really really hope that they bring out new cross stitch patterns relating to different packs, especially seasons! Wouldn't it be great to do bat cross stitching for Halloween??
Ugh, this pack needs to hurry up and release! I have been so excited for it. I even created storylines and a plan for my game and I've never done thst cause I'm sitting here so long waiting! Hahaha yall are making me jealous getting to play it early
I've been cross-stitching since I was a child and I can tell you, it's easy to get the hang of, but can be time consuming depending on the size and complexity of the picture. It's great for stress relief though, it really helped me calm down when I got stressed in uni. It's one of those things you can get lost in and spend hours on without realising it.
"the shake of a llama's tail" It's a variation on "in the shake of a lamb's tail." Lambs shake their little tails very quickly. She's saying that you won't get it done in the shake of a llama's/lamb's tail, so they will be harder tasks that will take a long time.
This LP is so much fun. I am laughing the whole time. "You're not allowed to die until my pumpkins are harvested" was probably the one line really had me this time. As for the cake question, I do make chocolate cakes most of the time for my Sims because it's my favorite, but sometimes I'll choose strawberry or blue cake just to mix things up. White cake or coconut I usually only make for weddings. The other types I rarely use at all.
Cross-stitching is a fantastic hobby to get into, I used to work for the UK cross stitch magazines stitching the models to be photographed. You can usually find Cross Stitch mags in most UK supermarkets which tend to come with a cover kit, these include all the thread, fabric, needle, and pattern so you can try a small design without spending much. The Christmas issues will start to come out soon and a Christmas card kit is a great way to get started.
With the "Shift-Click" you can probably have the interaction to add her to your household. Some people will also share the household on the gallery. You will definitely have ways to play with them :)
i REALLY hope in the final thing of the pack you can buy things from the window shopping shops even if you just click it and select it like the grocery delivery menu and it just appears in your inventory like i really do want the bare minimum we don’t even need an animation
When I lived in Scarborough I saw a fox going to the beach one morning after I'd been on a night out, it never crossed my mind it might be off for a swim

Cross stitching is pretty easy to get into to be honest. I picked it up properly last year and I stitch almost every night. You can pick projects as simple or as complicated as you want and the supplies aren't too expensive if you control yourself to just buying what you need for a project. That is easier said than done though.
I’ve had a rubbish few days, and I rarely laugh out loud at things I watch, but “Hustay” made me choke laugh on my digestive biscuit 😂 Thank you for the content, Jessie!
Tbh Plum calling the cow him reminds me so much of when I was in Into the Woods in high school and played Jack’s Mother. Petition to rename him or name the next cow Milky White.
The best way to get into cross stitch is to get a small cross stitch kit (Ebay is great for these, as you can get the ones that came on the front of magazines). It is very time consuming, but I find it very relaxing (and great for a distraction against anxiety) and I love being able to see my progress as I go. Beware, it can become a very expensive hobby.
Why is it that this video all of a sudden made me understand how people insert themselves into their sims LPs. I’ve always been very emotionally separated from my sims personal lives and I play it very robotically somehow. I need to get better at RPing my sims lol.

Honestly Agnes's whole persona should be a career path.

I just made a comment that was she should game play as young Agnes in the house she made her
it should be a hidden trait or something. like if your Sim gets heartbroken once they are an adult or elder, they become like Agnes crumplebottom.
