You also have your newborn sized flip style cover. I made a bunch of them for my friend❤️

Right. That is why I made that one too. Because this one is modeled after the sizing of the CB Flips. Which don't fit really small babies. :)

I cannot seem to find the newborn sized flip style cover template? Would you mind attaching it here?

Any favorite places online to buy PUL fabric?

I love this cover. I plan to make 4. I have made 2 pocket and 2 with snap-in soakers. I just finished 4 fitted with recycled fabric and they have no snaps or hook and loop - Serged. I have to make a cover for them and the NB seems small so I was thinking of making a bigger one with the snap rises but not sure which template. I found it a bit of a fiddle to make this cover so I made my second by turning the legs last. They are very quick to make. after watching this (blush) I was making a song and dance about it - I will do it your way from now on.

Hi, would you be able to upload the pattern again? When I try to download is asking for permission to access the file

Hello Arfy. Would it be possible for a tutorial showing how to add gussets for this and your newborn style cover? My daughter is expecting my first grandchild and I want to make her a stash. Also I was wondering, for the elemental style insert, would it be feasible to add the soaker to the top and bottom flaps beforehand, then just treat it sort of as an inner "layer" while assembling? Maybe that's just my brain working overtime though.

I am unable to get to google docs, is there another way to gain access to this pattern?

Long shot here but I’m dying to try your pattern to make some diapers for my granddaughter but I can’t seem to download the pattern. It says that my access is denied. Any guidance or help would be appreciated.

I want to have a go at making this cover, but I like my covers to have a double leg gusset. Would it be possible for me to modify this to include that and do you have any advice on how to do so?

    • @arfymakes3611

I can't see why not. I imagine you'd narrow it a little through the middle (since most double gusset covers do that.) The double gussets are more about changing the shape than actually adding much width. It shouldn't be hard to cut some crescents with casings at the edge like how you do with FOE covers and sew them in under the seam when you're making the normal side casings. I assume you want to make cased elastic covers and not just do the typical FOE double-gusset style covers?

@@arfymakes3611 thanks that's super helpful, I shall give it a go! Yes I was looking at cased elastics, I've never used covers that have FOE and I would be apprehensive of wicking, although I do know lots of people use that method.

The snaps are far too close to the edge on the back and also to the top on the front! Impossible to sew and really awkward to snap. Will have to end up using a zipper foot rather than a walking foot which is better with PUL. Fortunately have only done the snaps on one only as a trial. Just watched the end of the video and there is no way that the pattern is correct. The snaps are marked way closer to the seam allowances than they are in the made version in the video! They need to come down at least a cm and in a cm on the back.

We must be doing things differently because I never had any issues with the snaps.

@@arfymakes3611 Were you using size 20 snaps? I am a pattern cutter so I'm pretty good on measurements...Went slightly under on the seam allowance at the top to give it a little more space between snap edges and the top of the nappy but still looks closer to the edge than on your made up version. I made a template to mark the centre of the snaps as well and laid the nappy once completed on the pattern and all matches up. But still difficult to edge stitch around without catching the foot on the snaps. Otherwise turned out pretty good. I might put one more snap on the top to secure it a little more.
