I don’t know why people think that German and Russian are the most hideous and aggressive languages in the world... I mean ok, they are a bit ‘’heavy’’ compared to the delicate Italian language but to me German is a very normal-sounded language! I don’t know if the reason to believe that is because of my grandparents who speak German and I’m hearing this language from my birth but I think that the whole world is guided a bit from Americans! Americans always had their issues with both Germans and Russian so they make people around the globe hate those languages! Hollywood movies and Americans series has a prejudice against German and Russian speakers of the English language! The most ridiculous thing is that Americans speak about hard languages, the same time that the American accents is the WORST thing that ever happened to English language! I don’t believe that they speak English! I’ve been to Britain, to Scotland and I love their accents! Americans from the other hand should rename their language as ‘’Americanish’’ since its sound at all like the propel English! Ich liebe deine Videos! Ich habe mit Tränen gelacht, als du versucht hast, Griechisch zu sprechen!
American English is actually the older pronunciation. Not 100% sound for sound but if you took English from the 18th and 17th century you would notice it sounds significantly more like American English than the Uk accents which mostly evolved in Victorian times/19th century@@Kolious_Thrace
Since this video is about better ways to compliment someone in German: I genuinely enjoy your opinions about life, the driving videos, and find you very entertaining; It’s these things that help me to learn any language better, and I thank you for making learning the German language fun. 😊. No, I don’t want to say all of the in German, lol, it’s something I wanted you to know.
Es ist niemals langweilig deine Videos zu sehen. Es macht immer doppelt so viel Spaß. Ich mag deine Kreativität. Ich bewundere wie lustig deine Videos sind. Ich mag deinen Humor und deine Schlagfertigkeit. Ohner dich, wäre die Welt ein ganzes Stück trister. Ich bin wirklich froh, deine Videos angeschaut zu haben. Du hast eine tolle Art die Welt zu sehen. Du bringst mich immer zum Lachen
Love the pronunciation (kudos to repeating them 3 times, i was practicing at the dame time as you) and how you are always teaching us common German phrases and real expressions :) Muchad gracias! Bleib Gesund! ♡
This series of videos is the most useful and helpful resource I’ve ever found on the Internet. You make a great job for the all the German learners Dominik! I truly appreciate your content. Thank you and keep doing what you do!
We would never get tired of your face, if anything it brightens up my day. I have been watching your videos a lot during quarantine, so they keep me from being bored. I loved the video, it was great.
The better than series are really helpful for me to expand my German knowledge past a beginners level, thank you for this! Und dein Optimismus ist ansteckend! Du bringst mich immer froh und wissen auch!
I'm really enjoying this "better than..." video series! Thank you for always keeping my motivation to learn German! P.S: I'm never gonna get bored of seeing your face! ;) hope you're doing great and take care!
This video was great, Dominik. As always. It really made me smile. All the way through. As well as being really helpful and great choices of compliments too!
Recently i saw a video you posted in sept2019 and i want to say you are a really brave person to speak about it publicly. Du bist stark. I hope you are doing fine
I admire how you stand with both legs in your life, is an interesting one! Thanks for doing these series and making our German vocabulary more sophisticated :) :)
Damn, thanks for the relationship with a german help. :) I tend to tell him "Ich liebe dich uber alles im gesantem multiversum" but now I have a new arsenal of compliments with which to bombard my german boyfriend.
When I was young and visiting family in Germany, I wasn't so confident with my German language skills. One day my Onkel Jürgen walked past me and said: "Aber, du kennst gut Deutsch!" So many years ago, but I never forgot that moment.
Just befor this came over I was re-watching Germany German vs. Austria German. I'd like to her some of these in Austria German. John W. Pfirti ba ba : )
"Ohne dich, ware die Welt ein ganzes Stuck trister" (ich habe keine deutsche Tastatur hier :( ) ... is there someone telling this in real, any prince ? :P Sounds so magical like it can only appear in a good Disney movie hahah :P but its really nice :) In polish it could sound like: Bez ciebie, świat byłby trochę ponury.... really special and rare words with big meaning ;) After watching your videos I guess in Poland we have the same way of expression feelings and makeing friends... more i watch more i know about similarities of our culture. It's good to know more :P thanks for this!
Yes a german will understand this. The word "trist" is also used in "tristes Wetter" what means litterally "sad weather" although "sad" usually is translated with "traurig". But don´t forget that Germany is closed up with other roman /german language countries like France which once was in culture and speaking a while ago very important even for Germany..... In this case the latin word "tristis" changed to "triste" in french and maybe you heard the word "tristesse" before ;)
Why is ‘Zuhörerin’ used for females? Could you perhaps do a video sometime about make and female worlds. I didn’t know such word could be used for females but I knew, for example, ‘Freundin’
It's pretty logical. The "in"-ending of a noun makes the noun actually female. But this doesn't work for every noun! Mostly for nouns describing a person who does something. Like, Zuhörer - Zuhörer*in* = listener; Tänzer - Tänzer*in* = dancer; Darsteller - Darsteller*in* = actor.
Because my audience is still learning German :) Just because you speak it well or want an all German format doesn't mean everyone does. There's plenty of videos on my and other channels that are all in German.
Your pronunciation is so delicate, pleasant to hear you.

What would be handy would be compliments on food or service that could be used on trips. Something more unique than 'Das war sehr Gute, Danke.'
Thank you! All your videos are brilliant and it's a pleasure to learn in this way! :)
Good vibes!!❤❤❤ so helpful! Und your my friend at home!!
😀😷💪👍🌎
Ausgezeichnet. I need this for my upcoming interview, first German interview 😊
Damn, thanks for the relationship with a german help. :) I tend to tell him "Ich liebe dich uber alles im gesantem multiversum" but now I have a new arsenal of compliments with which to bombard my german boyfriend.
Thank you!
Hey, Dominick! How's this for an efficient, American compliment? You, are my favorite German! Seriously, you are my favorite.
the way you explain this make it sound so simple, but when i repeat some words myself, it sounds like a drowned duck >.
When I was young and visiting family in Germany, I wasn't so confident with my German language skills. One day my Onkel Jürgen walked past me and said: "Aber, du kennst gut Deutsch!" So many years ago, but I never forgot that moment.
So nettes Video!
If they pay you a compliment, they really mean it just so you know guys. Not to get you or anything else, so it makes them special.
Ich liebe deine ewige Kissen-Frisur :))
so süsses video
german is one of the most ideal culture, great.
Just befor this came over I was re-watching Germany German vs. Austria German. I'd like to her some of these in Austria German. John W. Pfirti ba ba : )

Hi
German and beautiful compliments don't match hahaha (just kidding)
Why do you speak englisch and German. Speak german !
Because my audience is still learning German :) Just because you speak it well or want an all German format doesn't mean everyone does. There's plenty of videos on my and other channels that are all in German.
