The PS2 (and later HD for later systems) remakes simply made Chain of Memories so much better, in my opinion. I never really could get used to the card system, but I enjoyed the game nonetheless.

When people play RE:CoM first and then write of CoM like it is the definitive version, why is that? (people who skipped CoM do this since it is on the 1.5 collection I guess) I think the gba title is very solid, it has beautiful sprite work and the control scheme, HUD and the rectangular layout makes for a more balanced playthrough against the circular repetitive Re:Com. I wish there was more content or love for that game.

There's something extremely brutal about freezing someone to an ice block and then using an earthquake to shatter them.

Its funny how they tried to balance ars by having it be broken easily, but then also gave you a card that ignores that downside
