I was looking at this comment and then I tapped on replies and while it was loading I was like please don't be an r/wooosh and then I saw the replies and I was like omg really
No way breh!?
Leyla Zamora well he’s actually a media personality created by the big corporations to sell bagel bites to the kids of today because riding a wooden toy is sooo liiiiit with kids of today.
I feel like Tony Hawk doesn't realize he's Tony Hawk
Zane Harris like he’s the type of guy to see his name in a headline and call them a dumbass or something?
That's called humility.
That's what makes him Tony Hawk
lol
Zane Harris he’s a humble guy and I really respect him for that
True story:
I once met him at a skatepark when I was 8 years old, I fell of my board and for some reason he was there with some friends and he came over and helped me up. I will never forget that day. TRUELY a LEGEND!!!!
Sk8ersocal I normally don’t like people’s comments but this one is special ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Sk8ersocal Yea and I’m SuperMan and can fly off buildings but don’t put me near kryptonite, and I don’t accept crypto currencies either 🤔

Ranajit Choudhury naw he annoying a lot of the times....also use to be a major try hard.
I love how Tony Hawk's skateboard is in the Smithsonian
Iconic legend.
H S Lots of different smithsonians and lots of stuff to see/ miss seeing... He said it was at beginning and I don’t think he’s lying.
@@seanarmstrong7767 He's not lying. Although its not currently on display it is in the Smithsonians collection.
americanhistory.si.edu/collections/search/object/nmah_1445843
The Smithsonian is not *one* place
I saw it there; was pretty rad.
he owns a replica of his childhood board, not because he lost it, but because it's in the Smithsonian.
absolute legend
As soon as it was officially a part of the Smithsonian they made Tony and his brother wear gloves while handling it for a photo despite it being thrown around all of its life.
@@harrysvu right! 😆👌

Tony Hawks Pro Violin Player would have tanked.
I play violin and skate 🙃

PvZ MASTER same
PvZ MASTER that’s cool!
It‘s weird how these videos seem so scripted but also so raw and authentic at the same time. I guess its the one shot
The part that seems fake is when you have stuff like how he had the skateboard ready at the end just like that. It seemed more real until then
Completely agree
luapchen well they script it to make it seem realistic
The Random Chicken exactly.. real conversations don’t go like this. There’s more “ummm’s” and “Uhh’s”.
I think everything is written out but the answers
what i want is a 73 questions video with the guy behind the camera
Welcome to the Club bro
give the people what they want
Yes, as we take a tour in his shared flat in San Diego or someplace
He's so cringe.
GUY BEHIND THE CAMERA, WE KNOW YOU CAN SEE US. WE KNOW. THIS COMMENT IS UNDER EVERY VIDEO. JUST DO IT ALREADY.
"are you asking if I play with myself?" Hahahaha
Cool bangs

Han Velthuis well he’s not a boomer
@Sean ok boomer
Iconic voice, could listen to him talking about skating for hours

Yes I love his voice
He’s 51 years old but his voice says 22

Haha that was funny still
@@advm4990 that was actually really good English
Laura Vandzura HES WHAT
@T Dawg Even so it's true.
Okay but the guy behind the camera seemed low key star struck for the first time
Maine Curtis he’s clearly a big fan of him. Not a bad thing for this interview, it allows for a lot more interesting questions
Of course, coolest person he has and will ever interview.
I think you’re medium-key dumb for using terms like ‘low-key.’
Im 1k like

Wow, the first 73 questions video where the celeb actually thinks before speaking like a regular person. Well done Tony x
I know! Honestly I can’t usually watch the 73 Questions videos with other celebs because they sound so rehearsed (bc they are). This one is nice because it flows more like an actual conversation for once
Even though it's obviously rehearsed :)
Tony Hawk is a good dude
Fo-realzzzz
Exactly!
Hahhahah love how his girl is spinning in every shot she‘s in
He did say his daughter likes to spin
I started cracking up when I saw her in that ring in the backyard, spinning again. He did not lie.
She's a spinner
This was the first 73 questions I’ve seen that didn’t feel rehearsed.
It still is sadly
These are some of the most stiff and rehearsed interviews. Can't stand them. Tony makes it worthwhile and pretty conversational though.
Decent questions.
Trevor yep, it hurts to watch.
I’m glad I read this, I was thinking the exact same thing! Everybody else’s responses are instantaneous with zero hesitation or thought.
The actors are the ones who make it seem the least genuine
"are you asking me if i play with myself"
AHAHAHAH TONY HAWK I LOVE YOU
👀👀👀
I never imagined that he would have a sense of humor.
@@yastaban lol why?
adeline wurzer I don't know much about him. I thought he might be like a Ned Flanders Rain Man - just cuz I know he is so focused and committed and pushed limits far beyond normal.
This whole thing is so scripted
The man, the legend and the meme! I love how humble he is.
He'll die that way.
einc70 wow that sounds depressing
The meme?
How is he a meme?
Saw him skate in New Zealand on a world tour in ‘88...all the pros were awesome and spent time doing autographs for us kids...Tony, Chris Miller and others...
I think the interviewer is a huge fan of Tony Hawk because this is the longest video of 73 questions and the questions actually have a lot more depth than the other videos I've seen.
This is the most non cringy 73 questions vid
@@ytuseracct you're right, this video was awesome
thekeytomyheart_ he actually seems like he gives the questions and answers some real thought, unlike other guests who sound like they just only say the first few words that come to their head and then pass to the next question. This is definitely one of the best interviews by Vogue!
Trusttttt
How can you be a fan yet not know 90% of the things he mentioned...
Finally, a 73 Questions video where the interviewee doesn't just give dull one or two-word answers. Props to Tony!
Cameraman: Tony, I think I did a 900
Tony: Yeah, you wish
😂😂😂😂
I came in the comments section looking for this comment 😂😂👏🏽👏🏽

the rise of female skaters
I know, it makes me so happy! he was one of my biggest heroes when I was small
*he still is, but now he's just a good example of being humble
He’s such an inspiration✨
You can tell the guy behind the camera is fangirling so hard
Well, I would be too. He's a Legend and it would be a honor just to skate in the same pool as him.
Looking at your profile pic, I could fangirl as well wow
Emily Peet not really he’s always like that
@@lucayashudressler6367 I bet you get all the girls with your smooth lines
he definetly isn't. doesnt know any skatewords
It’s as if his body aged but he still sounds like a 17 year old teenage boy 😅
Ikr?
Probably a California thing
he skates even better than he sounds.
All he needs know is long-ish hair, a tank top, colourful board shorts and probably like a small but tough looking dog.
Really does still sound like he hasn't aged
This guy's sharp. Answers all questions instantly and remembers names of people involved without stuttering.
thats because this is scripted
His IQ is like 147 lol.
I only wish to have his power one day 😔
They usually do at least 5 takes for these 73 questoin interviews. They use one of the last couple because they're the quickest like this one.
Everyone answers these questions quickly because they’re clearly pre-prepared
I like that he plays mario with his daughter
Im a simply satisfied man too

Tony Hawk: Having an interview
Daughter: Casually spins and swings in the background
When the guy was asking about his son and he was like “so you’re jealous of him?” And Tony said “nah I’m just really proud of him”...my heart 🥺❤️

Vitalik Skrobot i know! It was just cute
Societal mindset is envy instead of admiration and happiness for others. In other words, egocentric self centeredness. Tony was almost like... ???? Huh?! Really?

This is the first one of these that didn’t feel completely scripted. So much better and much more genuine
Agree. And the first time I thought he's actually living in that house 😅
The first and maybe only episode I’ll ever see of this
I'd say he pretty clearly owns that house. I haven't seen many rental houses with skate parks in the backyard around here....
I hate scripted, thankgod this one was legit
16:09 why was it so satisfying the way he got off his board

Finally a 73 Questions Interview that I enjoyed watching
TheFalseAppearance looks like a real interview
I never expected Vogue to collab with Tony Hawk. You guys branching out?
the very realistic part of this is that whoever has a new film/play/album/design brand/clothing line coming out, 73 questions finds them or vice versa. It's ... becoming quite PM-ish, but you don't blame business for that ... ...
I think somebody just got... *ahem* board.
@@virgilhawkins5680 *slow clap*
The guy who's asking the questions is so unnatural, but Tony is acting like he's just having a normal conversation
Brett Otwell Idk
well yeah, its not that often you ask 73 different questions in a fluid conversation.
Right? This is the closest to natural I've seen when it comes to these interviews. Professional actors and actresses can't even make it feel this relaxed
i feel it wasn't really the reporter's fault, he had a task to ask 73 questions as quick and best as he could in one take, so he's gonna pretty much have to be semi-unnatural
This i a true native californian dude
"Dad, he's not that good at it."
Perfect.
Interviewer: Hey I think I just did a 900!
Tony: Yeah, you wish
Never got into skateboarding but smashed Tony hawks games as a kid they were epic. Legend.
Faithfull Cheater nah not really
Session is pretty rad if you can get over the skill curve
You can’t play his games and NOT get into skateboarding....unless you have a gravel driveway
I met him at the Santa Monica pier like 7 years ago. He was so nice and sweet.
it's really crazy that we grew up on this dude and he's like 51 literally blows my mind somehow
Plot twist: Tony is a vampire
love that Tony Hawk is the first person to be shown having neighbors in one of these
I didn't know I needed this, but clearly, I do.

Yoooooo
I have never gotten so emotional about a 73 questions before! I was basically crying tears of joy the entire video. What a humble man and absolute legend. This video should be treasured forever!!
I love that he gave props to all the amazing female skaters. He knows what's up!!
when I was a kid I was trying to learn how to drop in standing there just looking down at the ramp clearly terrified, after about 5 mins I had the entire park behind me telling me I can do it and showing me how they do it, and I did it no problem, It was just as easy as they said it would be lol.
im still scared to drop in
It's scawy fo me still 😿
kneepads friends. that way you can just slide down if u get scurred
AWWWW CUUTEEE
Man about 3 years ago I tried to drop in at least 30 times on a quarter pipe and I could never commit. Finally getting back into skating though so hopefully I got it
This 73 Questions video is nostalgic. Tony Hawk's Underground was a huge part of my childhood!
Still to this day the best out of all the THPS games. The story mode is fantastic, the soundtrack is amazing, the controls are perfect, it's a masterpiece.
@Amber133 Lee American Wasteland was a good game, but it's essentially THUG3 and didn't really have enough new features or content for it to be considered a true evolution of the series. Project 8 was not a good game and the slow mo flick-it style mechanic was done way better by EA' s Skate which made Project 8 irrelevant. Proving Ground was a mediocre game, not even sure why you mentioned it, It's totally forgettable.
@@chorseundgrd I couldn't agree more! My brothers and I bought it like 3x after the release because we played it so often it would get scratches, lol. The struggles of having to use discs!
same
Guy: How many tricks have u created?
Tony hawk: Oh only a few
KadenSalazar bruh when he didn’t mention the air walk i was so upset lmao
Tony Hawk’s pro skater was probably the best game series of all time
Adnan A I’d say def one of the most iconic in its prime
Jelani Miller wasteland and underground is also ok
Slim Shady I kinda include them in that group even though they are technically different
Just gonna bring up elder scrolls around yall chums
Having a video about him is a million times more interesting than showing a Kardashian displaying their riches.
Never thought I'd see the day when Vogue interviewed a skater.
We had Roger Federer and now Tony Hawk 😯 keep it cool, Vogue 🤟🏼
just keeping it humble
Rodney mulllen is also cool..
3:00 "Are you asking if i play with myself?" Lmao, nice one Tony.
hope this guy lives a long life cause we can never ever get tired of Tony Hawk !
With a name like Tony Hawk you are destined to be remembered in some way.
that is the most gorgeous house i've ever seen - san diego must be like paradise

He’s is literally the oldest teenager
He’s a legend plus he’s super humble and genuine
Well isn't this the most pleasant surprise!

God i love his house, it actually looks like a house not like an empty hollow lifeless glass mansion
I saw Tony hawk at the Detroit metro airport over this past summer. I thought about approaching him but I know celebrities probably get sick of that so I let it be. But I found it hilarious that he didn’t have any luggage, was just walking through the terminal with his deck in his hands lmao
Is it just me or does Tony Hawk look like Bill Gates? Seriously, compare their faces, they could be related
Oh yeah!! I never thought of that!!
Shayla Daniaka lol it’s definitely not just you. You see people saying that on every tony hawk video

C'mon dude, don't say that. I have hope we'll meet him some day.
Interviewer: “Have you ever seen anyone do a 1080?”
Tony: “yes they were much younger than me and it was a way bigger ramp”
Tony Hawk's been a huge inspiration since I was like seven I've always been a heavier kid and I am now finally learning how to do play tricks on your skateboard because I've been skating for like 7 years but I never really did anything with it he's a cool dude man
I don't think its possible to be more chill than Tony Hawk

I’d love to see an interview like this with Rodney Mullen, who, along with Tony Hawk here, basically made modern skateboarding.
mullen was THAT dude
Me too!!!:. The way Rodney breaks down the mechanics of a trick is mind blowing.

I agree, nothing weird about it. They must not skate.
A "73 Questions" video I actually care to watch
Tony Hawk’s foundation is the reason we have a good skatepark in Athens, Ohio. I really appreciate Tony. He does a lot for the skate community
I grew up in Encinitas (where he lives). Growing up as a kid it was basically the norm for Tony Hawk to show up at your Birthday party or your friends Bday. Haha it was like, "Oh, hey! It's Tony Hawk...again!"
You are kidding, right?
100% for real. If I was kidding I'd come up with something way better than that.
i like what tony said about the 1080. "on a much bigger ramp"
Fabulous to see the legend Tony answering 73 questions.
Thank you for interviewing Tony 💚🔥🌏👍😁
Always been such a down to earth guy. I met Tony at Maximus, Andy Macdonald's old indoor park in Cambridge, MA back in 1995. He was so nice to everyone, and spent all his time after the Demo signing, and teaching kids how to drop in on the half pipe.
this man is 51 but he has an excitement about skateboarding just like 17 year teenager!
This series is like a better version of MTVcribs and i love it
