They honestly just need to make it so zombie killing is 1:1 for fame gain. Kill a zombie, get a fame point. It's such a simple and easy fix. There's no way the developers play their own game... there's no other way they would make these kinds of mistakes.
They do technically allow for this already in Server Settings, you just need to adjust manually. scum.FamePointRewardOnKill=0.250000, it's currently set for all at 4 Kills per 1 Fame Point, just change the 0.250000 to 1.000000 and you're all set
How it should be. After days/weeks of play trader should be a Thing and Not after 2 days. Only broken Thing is pvp which needs fame gain reduced to smth like 1 fame for 50 pvp kills

Only the Car Stuff might be a little bit important, and Cars are meant to be absolut Luxury Items in the Game (words of the Devs btw). The PVP Fame Gain is just busted. This game isnt your Battle Royal or anything, its Surviving, so work for that Survival instead of just try to find a way to buy everything on Day 1.... Or rather, you can still buy the important survival Stuff on Day 1-2, Food, Tools and such.... so why do you think its important for you to buy Assault Rifles and Stuff? And got access to it all the time? If you need Stuff like that go into a Bunker, thats what they are there for.
I turned it off with the traders just mod the economy file, it was in the patch notes when they put it in the game. it's just stupid system, no retailer sells based on reputation. Starbucks has never refused to sell me a coffee because they don't know me.
@Luthais - First, thanks for mentioning me in the beginning - I was testing whole evening fame gain multiplier and found that the sweet spot is around 5 and I set it up on my server and will be watching logs etc to see if it helps, but it opens another exploit with just sitting in a base, which is not good, so Devs must come with solution for this F**kup... It is sad that they changes logic from one side, but does not think about long run... And it must be based on xp as it was and it could slow down after every levelup
I guess everyone miss the way of gain fame points from 0.6v, it fitted perfectly according to the game's lore and even made that gaining those points doesn't get boring over time.

That healing thing is crazy. Can you imagine joining a fresh server, then finding bandages just to go get smacked up over and over till you get enough fame to buy a hiking backpack or something? To be honest, the famesystem is very difficult to compare like this. I think fame gain might happen in these situations because you learn / Advance your skill as well, not just doing an action. So different skilled players might gain different fame doing different things :D
Bravo, Luthais. The current way is not viable. I get that we are supposed to be prisoners on an island, but when you look at other games that SCUM is trying to compete with, are much easier to obtain loot, etc. Forced mechanics will never nor have ever made me want to do that thing. So, they added a new poi system and added the best way to get fame in Abandoned Bunkers. Yet, going in is suicide as a new spawn for the average player. Have you tried the zombie outfit in the bunkers yet?
@Luthais Crafting bullets also gives nice fame. But you need to farm materials for it. Crafting normal bullets gives you 0,5-1 fame and "CRAP"-ammo gives you 2-3 fame for each craft.
Um you know the lore right? We’re prisoners on an island for a tv show. Fyi also they’ve mentioned in the past they want players to be able to use fame to get custom drops delivered from drones.
I wouldn't want some new meat on the block walking around with an M82. If you think otherwise, you need to take a good, long, HARD look at the lore. It throws it all off.
I say keep fame, but make puppet killing actually useful for fame. Half a point for a thin zombie, full point for a fat zombie, 2 points for military, bonus points for overkill (large caliber headshots, explosives, things people would cheer for when watching a t.v death game)
Fruit & Veg farming was effective but lame. You could clear out a whole bunker of puppets, do a killbox and escape a clan shooting at you and get maybe 3FP? Or you could pick a few olives. Didnt make sense! I'd like fame to be rewarded based on how dangerous the situation is for your character
I agree to, my opinion it should just rebalance whole fame way more fame for dangerous activities, and keep less for looting etc and rebalance traders like quality based fame sell High loot/High quality = a lot fame to access, low grade/quality just few points. like why i cant have pushbike before accessing motorbike or a car

with fame the way it is, why bother having Traders.... hell whats the point of even having a respawn system?... Just make it full on Ironman mode where the player has to make a new character every time they die.....
idk, I think it should be a very slow taper to get to the trader. Once you have gear in this game this isn't much to do other than lose it all by getting raided. But building toward unlocking things and making that process slower, it extends what there is goal-wise to do. ( until missions come) Stats is the other thing but that is extremely slow. I allow it naturally thru play. Im not gonna spend my limited free time running in circles with a wheelbarrow.
the best way to earn fame is ammo now. for regular crafted ammo you get 0.5 fame and for armor piercing you get 2.4 fame. everything else is rather lackluster or too complicated/risky. i think most people will settle for regular crafted ammo since the AP requires depleted uranium.
Yes the Crap Ammo is worth it but very little players can do that without getting killed at the Power Plant and lose 50 % of their fame to another player if everyone tries that
I don’t really understand how they came up with this system, literal hours to use mechanic. Also the abandoned bunkers would be a nightmare for pvp I think and that’s mainly a problem as most bunkers are now these new ones
At this point, they might as well get rid of the whole fame system. I would personally rather keep it 0.6 with the current pvp loss, but it's obvious they don't care for it enough when THIS is their solution to people "exploiting" an already finnicky system to say the least..
the best fame point farm is killing puppets at 220+ meter away with snipers or bows and u get 5 pts per kill with headshot from rifles and 10 pts from headshot from bows.... unfortunately on multiplayers server the devs default render for puppets do not pass between 150-200 meters meaking them vanish from range view!!! SAD :(
As I know and experienced picking olives from tree is best way to get Fame points. Its giving 2 point for per olive. But you need to double click on them. If you drag them to backpack its not working.
And for a long time it was 5FP per Olives, good times of getting fast FP and getting a car fixed. Then it was 2FP and now we almost get no FP for playing. Since I have become a father I have less time for playing, and when I play I would like to at least get 1 FP per Puppet or for looting. For me it would make sense to at least get some FP after looting a town and not getting killed, as this is the bread and butter I do
They also changed it because of the fact that fame would get jet lag every once in a while and randomly go up a steady 200-600 points out of nowhere. They changed it because they bugged it so hard rather than fixing it. 🤦♂️

Imagine two friends on a server with a multiplier of 10 or 100, all they need is to do is stab each other to a C -4 over and over again....that's a real exploit. Content creators are the ones who "sell/advertises" the game at no cost for the company and your voice counts more because of your audiences. Nah, i would rather gather olives, that whole healing strategy seems too risky for me. You could die very easily doing this and lose a lot of fame in the process. You can still get a lot of fame in very short time with olives, just look out for the olive trees, they often give you more than bushes. Edit: okay, nevermind, just read the patch notes... olives are not the meta anymore. Devs are screwing up the game... again..
this game is losing its way i dont enjoy it anymore if tey dont sort it out i will stop playing it , hunting is a useless bunkers are crap if you are a solo player i just waiting for them to turn it in to a pay to play then that will be the end of scum
Walking over the spike trap will help solo's just be careful to not kill yourself otherwise your working backwards ;]

I did a lot of selling to the traders today it seemed to give me a decent amount but i have not tested it

I would say 0.34 per puppet so even if a new player killed 3 puppets he gets rewarded

On vanilla FP gain, it seems to be somewhere between 0.7 > 0.9 FP per 5 cartridges. I crafted 300 7.62x39mm rounds and got 50 FP.

I would try 20X or 25X in the settings. That will get it close to where it used to be / needs to be.

Did you try building and upgrading? When I upgrade sections of my base it gives me fame, or at least it used to

You must out more bud. You will lose your gear at Cargo Drops and Abandoned Bunkers and running into players. Theres a ton to do on populated servers
