It's going to a long old winter in Germany without you. Thanks for all your work, it is really appreciated by all your followers. In these crazy times, Sanderstead CC are a tonic in so many ways. Keep it up.
christopher wefing it’s a pleasure! Never thought when I started filming club cricket that we’d have followers in Germany. Delighted, and thanks for the kind words.
Well done sir for giving us another match...very surprised! Well done Tyler for your ton! LEGEND! We in NZ bid you a welcomed Autumn break as we ourselves head into Spring and somewhere around the corner our summer. Have a great break and we look forward to watching again next season. It has been a privilege to watch again this season so thanks for taking the time to film, edit and post. You are a gentleman and a scholar.
2:32 He play the cut so well, I just adore to see runs scored behind square on the off side off the face of the bat. The finer the better as far as I am concerned.... As a retired member of the Opening Batsperson Federation. OBF for short. The sub text being 'Can you open today, we have been put in and it looks a bit green and that Minor Counties seamer is playing for them' OBF... 'Oh Bloody Fool!'
Some old cricketing classics- • the classical "box fiddler" a popular batsman's tick •the batting sprint and stand off to decide who is run out • the one handed nowhere near the ball escort to the boundary popular with fielders all over the country who would really rather not spend half the week trying to remove grass stains from their whites •a bowler "doing a Lyon's" as it will now be referred to when attempting to gather the ball for a run out •the spin bowling delivery that is so slow the batsman has enough time to wander half way down the track miss the ball then saunter back before the keeper can effect a stumping.
Definitely Lucy's best performance with the bat, though not so much with the bowling and fielding. She's come so far in just a season. Thanks for the upload as always Dan. Tyler looking serene out there
Good game, great finish...I thought T, Stewey and Dev were very good, and Lucy really has come a long way this season, more than holding her own in the team...
Thanks Ray - yes, this was the game after Lucy had just shared 2 50 partnerships with her brother. Here she shared another one (3 in a row!) with Stu and it’s a great example of how important confidence is.
That was a very exciting match... Indeed! Wonderful to see the opening tandem of Ward & Ward... BTW, upon my early (video) observation... A Note to Tyler. Tyler, please while on the non-striker's end... pls take a longer start/stride out. PS.. Well played Lucy Allen! Well done young lady.. PSS... My Red Convertible too is named "LUCY" PSSS... Was that Chucking (clearly)?🤔 Cheers!
andy moore 😂 I think they are there to keep the Croydon natives out! Or maybe it’s to protect the houses from flying cricket balls. One or the other.....
@@SandersteadCCTV I much prefer the former explanation. Who could possibly object to flying cricket balls in their garden? I would deem it an honour to find a red leather missile in my garden, but as I live 14.2 miles from the nearest (reputable) cricket ground I feel such an occurrence is unlikely. Unless, of course, the very obliging Colin Dredge should bowl the remarkably forthright Viv Richards a long hop just outside leg stump........
Here in the northwest of england our games finished last week saturday and sunday's, matches isit normal for games to be played this late in the season?
What i love about these sunday fixtures that no matter whats happening in the game they never put the fielders back on the boundary in the last few overs haha
Inceyplays well, we would have been absolutely hammered if he wasn’t! Instead we made it a last over thriller. Some of these Sunday sides are very good.

What a treat to get another vid....! Thankyou. Another member of your NZ fanclub....
Great channel, takes me back to when I was playing and serving up some pies...
Thanks for another cracking season Dan.

What an unexpected delight!

Tim Kingston wonderful! 😂
@@SandersteadCCTV I am taking notes. Thanks Tim.
If only i could move from New Zealand to Croydon to play for sanderstead
Ha, Ha - me too. Join the Lucy fan club NZ branch.
Haha not sure you’d want to live in Croydon after living in New Zealand. Not as many sheep...
Great to see Lucy playing her shots.
Some good batting from the sanderstead team
Definitely Lucy's best performance with the bat, though not so much with the bowling and fielding. She's come so far in just a season. Thanks for the upload as always Dan. Tyler looking serene out there
Great to see Lucy really improving! Thanks for the hard work dan!
Besides the dropped catch that Simon is a tremendous fielder
Ron Love first time I’ve seen him - you’re right! Awesome....
Good game, great finish...I thought T, Stewey and Dev were very good, and Lucy really has come a long way this season, more than holding her own in the team...
Great knock Lucy, loved that straight drive.
What a game T had! Great batting from Lucy, too, she's so much improved with the bat.

22:31 LA giving the ball a bit of air. Love it.
andy moore absolutely - got to protect the hands for the netball season!
@@SandersteadCCTV That has never ever occurred to me before. A concept to conjure with in the nasty soccer infested closed season.
10:06 THAT'S how to play the on drive!
Played Trinity Oxley CC earlier in the season for Merton CC lovely ground and an awesome tea.
Dave Barber cracking tea - hot sausages and super sandwiches. We forgot to do a T’s Teas!!!
@@SandersteadCCTV I wondered about the lack of a tea review!
@@SandersteadCCTV would have been good to see a t's teas to compare what we had to what you got
I came back to this video for the 'straight out of Scooby Doo' line and it still raises a chortle.
😂 loved that line! It just popped into my head. Jezza is Tyler’s dad and he’s a lovely runner…..
@@SandersteadCCTV You should get a Sanderstead Mascot race arranged. Chris 'Jemima' Carey for the win!
How did they figure out the Tyler - SJ run out situation, also one last video for the season, nice surprise 👍
Is that Simon Claire from Coral?
Usually appears on Talk Sport, with Alan Brazil?
Adnan Haddadi yes, that’s him!
@@SandersteadCCTV Nice,
Loving the forward defence👍🏽
24:13 absolutely outrageous language from such a consummate professional. Reported straight to ECB!
That wide just broke me heart
Dan, the scoreboard link in the description goes to the Cricket Society game
Thanks - sorted
unlucky sonny and also i would love to see the full esjay runout

24:10 🤣🤣🤣🤣 village cricket is amazing
It certainly is!
This Tyler lad can play
Well done T!
Are those huge high white fences to stop the players escaping before the game is over?

Ron Love yes, down here we usually go to the end of September and sometimes into October.
@@SandersteadCCTV I see probably being down south warmer climate as opposed to being in Cheshire!
21.26 why is the wicket keeper throwing his gloves off the ground in frustration?
Mike Forrest 😂 he’s a character.....
Why am i waiting for the slow-mo replay?
What a treat- T on fire, Lucy supreme (her best?). Regards, NZ fan club. :-)
Was there a final game Dan?
Sadly not - rain. Me and T working on podcast ideas and possibly some Hockey over the next few weeks
Dev spinning the thing square!
What i love about these sunday fixtures that no matter whats happening in the game they never put the fielders back on the boundary in the last few overs haha
Absolutely!
It appears my boy Tyler cannot handle the pressure of league cricket. I think no less of him though.Gxx
Gary M 😂
Only has to ask.........:-)
Gary M joking aside, there has only been 1 SCC 1st XI league ton in 3 years and Tyler got it - see here: th-cam.com/video/bphZne_APtY/w-d-xo.html
anyone else thought the guy in blue jeans was the square leg umpire at first?
Nice ton Tyler well done mate
Was that the last match dan
lee wood last match is next Sunday, weather permitting!
Dan if you ever thought of a seasons highlight reel my vote goes to del tea pot
Still makes me smile now just thinking about 😆
lee wood it was a real highlight - one of many! I am putting together a “best of” compilation in the next two weeks.....
21:27 lol
Lucy couldn’t be far off a first team call up
Played here a few years ago against an afghan 11. Great players considering they hadn’t played much
a bit unfair having tyler opening the batting in a sunday game
Inceyplays well, we would have been absolutely hammered if he wasn’t! Instead we made it a last over thriller. Some of these Sunday sides are very good.
Inceyplays also, we have a tradition of family members batting with each other on Sunday’s when possible - Tyler opened with his father, Jerry.
Inceyplays, depends on your opponent on a Sunday mate, Iv batted from 1-11 on a Sunday
Looks like the oppo had some pretty good batting there too, didnt seem too unfair!
Check out the result from the day before! You get a total and make a game of it
