Expectation: "Great, another MacGuyver that's gonna turn 4 month old moldy bread and abraxos cleaner plus toothpicks into a homemade kitbashed army that somehow wins a golden demon. Yep time to feel completely disappointed with everything I've ever accomplished in this hobby." Reality: "This is ridiculous. This is the most absurd 'so-bad-it's-good' DIY craft that I could definitely attempt my self. Wow, this guy is genuinely out here just ENJOYING his hobby and sharing it with us. Where has this wholesomeness been my whole life (well since TH-cam started)???" Bravo. you've earned a sub. That was silly and perfect.
You can also use tamiya x20a thinner as a cheaper alternative to their extra thin cement for making sprue goo in the little brushed cement bottles. Only 1% difference in chemical mixture
I applaud your attempt but I do believe this one falls short. Although it is recognizable as a space marine, you lost the human form when you miss the proportions. If you think of the body as shapes, I would suggest using a drawing macet as a base. Basically building off of your necron design. Seeing how it's already a human frame
As a space marine, it has some uncanny valley happening. But I really like it! I think it would be an amazing peice of terrain as like a sculpture or statue erected in an underhive or other poor ghetto on some planet
With most minis, you are limited in the number of models you can make by the number of legs and torsos. You often end up with a lot of extra heads, weapons and arms. I wonder how a mini made with sprue legs and torso (or cast legs torso from sprue goo and hot glue molds) would look? Seems like it might be possible to get better looking results more easily, while making excellent use of spare non-sprue bits as well as sprue. Other thing - it looks like you're using sprue goo indoors without gloves, mask or special ventilation. I thought the fumes were toxic?
Lots of lovely technical tips. However, I'd add working from two reference photos. One from the front and one in profile. this might make it easier to figure limb lengths. This marine's upper leg bone is a bit short.
6:25 Sprue Goo, and Sprue Glue! This is a lot of fun! The proportions are a little off, but I think that's partially because you were using a running Marine pic as reference, making it harder to gauge lengths. Might be worth next time using your Spruecrons as a guide to measure the parts, and make a basic skeleton the same way as you did for them. Looking through the comments, I'm liking the calls for Tau and Tyranids, and also Plague Marines (they'd work much the same as this guy, but any roughness could be turned into a feature, rather than a bug). One thing I don't see suggested, though, is a mega-armoured Ork, whether you fancy Nob or Warboss... Sprues would be a perfect base for that, and if you wanted to turn that into _several_ Nobs, they could all be nice and unique.
If you want to make more runny sprue goo, put some butyl acetate with your acetone. Ultra thin plastic ciment from Tamiya is basically half and half. Thank me later
Ahh, like back in the 80s… 😄 I think it looks incredibly fun, scratch-built stuff is always cool. I’m really loving seeing your collection grow, they do have the 16 bit feel for sure! Something about the face makes me wanna say, “Pizza, pizza,” for some reason… 😆 (Not sure if that translates, don’t know if ye have Little Caesar’s over there?!? Haha!)
I am excited for the great unclean one, it could be a guide for fleshy models like tyranids. Uses the sprues as a frame and using sprue goo 1.0 to bulk it up and maybe even smoothen that you with 2.0 .
Well I'd like an "Old One Eye" (nid) from 9th ed, but I think yo can spread the ooze of GOO everywhere. For FOWW they gave us Radstags / Does (2 headed deer or horned beast), Rad-toads(big toads), wendigos (squiggly line things), and the Scorched-Plague Beast (bumpy the big bat). They are true to videogame model, but I think you can go plus ultra.
I would love to see your idea's on can terrains, like redbull cans monster cans or coke cans etc etc. I see a lot of 3d printed kits, I bet you could make some nifty ideas out of the same cans and your sprue talents! great video!
I like the idea that these are all TinBoyz being controlled by Orks playing their own game of 40k
I think the necrons look better as sprews than the space marine. Can't wait for the Great UncleanSprew. Nids would probably sprew well, Sprewmagaunt.
Answered the questions I was going to!

12:56 when you look at your battle brother after the gellar field fails
A big tau mech could be interesting

Ahh cheers, I may take a look at that as cheaper is better lol 😊
When the game isn't finished rendering
I think it would also be interesting to see something from the Mechanicus or Inquisition, since the sprues are GW plastic, making them “pure”

you can also use hte sprew as a skeleton to sculpt a marine around
If you're far enough away, that image and the Spruemarine look absolutely identical 🤣

I think sprue mechanicum would be really cool but hear me out sprue primarch!

I like it, an army of those would have a magic all there own. Do a broadside battle suit.
I like the boxier sprue builds more because I feel like it embodies the idea of sprue builds better. But I still love all your builds.
Kid: "Can we get some space marines?"
Parent: "We have space marines at home."
That turned out absolutely ridiculous in the best way :D
Could the new sprue goo be used for molding? If so, model casting would be at a new golden age.
Im hoping so and that will be coming in a video soon as I will be making some moulds of Warhammer stuff next week 😊

You did a great work ✨✨
I’ve been making some of the sprue goo mark 2. It’s been taking days to break down and dissolve but I am being patient.
I mean, you should use every bit of the plastic you buy, GW is expensive as hell
Happy Christmas

Can the new sprue goo be used for casting with molds?
yes just dont take plastik molds as they will melt
That's so impressive!
Ps1 Space marine lol
Will there be sprue Plague Marines?
Make sprue great again🤩
Nice job
You are like a native of Alaska, you use every part of the animal.

Do Necron next for cripes sake...
Exelente video 10 de 10 muy bueno
awesome dude i am just busy with my sprue dreadnought. cheers
Space Marine if it was on the PlayStation 1:

Next time you can make a tank, ork, imperial or chaos. 😊
A tank would be cool, I will take a look at some 😊
could you make a land raider? also I very much enjoy these videos, keep it up!
Very similar to a set bought Marine.
Spacemarine on the PS1
Spruetarii next time?
As awful as they are tau would probably work well being made out of sprues
man your like straight edge cutter thingy needs sharpening so bad that poor thing it looks like a breadknife
yup I think it was a cheap blade as havent used it much lol 😊
gigabased
Yo pido un mano de hierro armadura gorgona
