Thanks Mike! Still not perfect in "execution" but im working the kinks out. I actually just posted a new, longer, canyon run video of JUST the driving; Feel free to share! I was a big user on BimmerForums , but havnt made the Jump over to NA M3 yet. I will make sure to check it out however
Never seen a video that made me want to get a carbon airbox so bad, and I thought I’d seen all of em! Nice stuff man. How are those revshift bushings by the way? I got the same ones sitting in my garage for when I tackle the subframe job
Hey you know I really like the Revshift bushings! I had them on my E36 as well and they stood up to some good abuse. And you should go for the airbox, imo every S54 should have had one, truly completes the car. Glad you enjoyed watching tom!
What up dude! You know, you might be able to get around not dropping the exhaust, as long as you can verify you can get access to the axel - to - diff bolts on the drivers side, but it never hurts to remove it. Only takes about 15 min and gives you a ton of free space. No fun working under a car on jacks so I try to make as much space as possible. Thanks for dropping by !
You need to drop the exhaust. And removing the exhaust is the easiest part of this job. If you're worried about pulling the exhaust off, then you may want to rethink pulling the diff
Sheesh brother! We’re already up another 100 😬🙌 and that would be sweet dude! The S54 was made for a carbon plenum. Give it what it wants! 😂 cheers bro!
Hey brotha! Yes Im in CA. I actually installed it right after I smogged last year, so I still have a bit more time before the next go around. Im going to try and Smog it with it installed, its an "OEM" part, and the car still has cats and stock exhaust. If its an issue, it really isnt that hard to go back to stock. PM me on IG I may have a lead on a CSL box if your interested (@JT_E30)

Yeah man stock exhaust and headers! The note is the CSL intake, low revs sound completely mean and has a really deep grunt. I love it! Its the 200mm CSL box, not the 120mm version so that plays a part in sound for sure.
oh yeah trust me, I am tackling the subframe repair as the next big job. I already did rod bearings, 6 speed swap and the CSL intake, so im pretty deep into her now lol
Great video bro and good work big shoutout from the UK 🇬🇧 Iv just bought a E46 M3 as well lots on content coming for that on my channel too if you want to check it out.
Awesome capture of the CSL intake sound. You're gaining traction on nam3forum right now with it

Awesome video man thanks. Did you absolutely need to drop the exhaust though to pull the diff out?? If you did, exactly why. Thanks!

Hell yeah brother! I posted a longer "pure driving" video a few days ago, if youre interested!
Are you in CA? If yes, are you removing the box every other year? I own an 04 and been eyeballing these air boxes for years now.

@@joshthebavarian merci pour ta réponse
It sounds like a v8… stock exhaust?? What gives it the nice tone? The intake and tune?

That’s awesome dude! What color did you pick up? Hell yeah man can’t wait 🙏
complains about truck crossing the lines... crosses the line himself and even the truck... ohh the irony!!!
Big difference in crossing on blind turns, versus crossing when the road is straight and clear in order to pass on the left.. Much love brotha!
i know its fun to send stuff on the back roads... just be careful!!!... sending good vibes! and nice carbon intake!!!
