nicely done. I do have interest in that CSL airbox, and thinkg about it. Thank you for sharing the result which is important to me in making decision. sooner or later, I will go for it.
So I really want to put one on my 03 M3 but how does the tune work do you send in your ECM or can you do a video on that I live in remote ND and there are no tuners around here
Not the greatest below 2500-3000rpm, but improved everywhere else. Definitely minor losses low rpm, typically not driving fast at those rpms anyway though.
@@cyberdrivemedia Gotcha. Hopefully you can gain back power down low and a lot more on top. I'm on the fence about this intake bc I like the responsiveness I have now in the lower rpm range for city cruising.
@@cyberdrivemedia with open airbox it's ovius because all the air is passing on the duct. With csl airbox the air can go over the bump with open hood and on the street is not there...

No problem 😁
Great video, thanks for posting this!
No problem!
That is great power!
the spec on your E46 is absolutely sick - LSB is one of the best colours for the M3. Keep up the good work man :)
Thank You!
Good video.. I’m running the CSL intake too… sound alone it’s worth it. Not done a custom tune yet so interesting to know if that’s worth it.
I'm planning on it as soon as I get a chance to 👍
Loved the comments. You can tell it's a mix of people who've never seen an S54 and those that know a CSL intake a mile off
It was so funny to watch back 😄
I just saw you and your crazy bmw, that gold car next to your right, near he railroads in martin county stuart florida
Hell yeah! How did look? 😎
Freaking awesome😎🤯
Thanks for the info, still bot sure whether to go carbon airbox or open stacks. Also what is spec of your bbs lm, they sit perfect thanks.
They are Varrstoen 19x9.5 and 19x11. Not 100% on the offset, I think its +22mm or near that
No problem!
Open stacks give very little extra power or noise,
Nice video bro I’m out in Loxahatchee I also have 2006 Interlagos blue comp hopefully we bump into each other
Thank You! Some of that video was filmed out there by Palm Beach Raceway
@@cyberdrivemedia sadly the raceway is home😞, did you have the Big 3 down already ?
@@rhdzoe605 sure do!
i need the csl map sensor for max power
im going to do mine soon. is there a specific tune you would reccomend?
I would say a reputable shop that does their own tuning on bmws with a dyno would be the way to go on that
Any chance the TMS sticker is removable?
It is removable
@@cyberdrivemediaappreciate it man, thank you for the response!
No problem!
So I really want to put one on my 03 M3 but how does the tune work do you send in your ECM or can you do a video on that I live in remote ND and there are no tuners around here
It can be done through email, there are a few companies that do it
What was the torque like? Any loss of low end power with the csl intake?
Not the greatest below 2500-3000rpm, but improved everywhere else. Definitely minor losses low rpm, typically not driving fast at those rpms anyway though.
Also not dyno tuned yet, just the base tune at the moment.

Would luv 2 no what ur wheels are m8 .. ?
Vors 19in wheels
All dyno with open hood... But you go on street with open hood?! Really incomprehensible...
@ziofrenko lol flow to it is actually better when the hood is shut and the car is moving. Lots of ducting from the grill and bumper
I also tested hood open and hood shut with negligible differences for both airboxes
@@cyberdrivemedia with open airbox it's ovius because all the air is passing on the duct. With csl airbox the air can go over the bump with open hood and on the street is not there...
You're overthinking it 😆
@ziofrenko if you watch the dyno section of the video, we did both hood open and shut. I just didn't film every run bc it isn't exciting to watch
