Another great option can be New Old Stock (NOS) bows. I got an NOS Xpedition DLX from Sportsman's Warehouse for $400 fall of 2023 (including factory warranty). Found a used Hoyt Axius Alpha fully setup on ebay for $560 this past spring. Two 2020 flagships for under a grand is a pretty great way to fly, especially if you can work on your own equipment.
I’m not a gotta have the latest greatest anything guy. Been years since I bought a brand new one. I’ve used many two year old ones but only those in excellent condition. Never had any major issues getting them tuned for me and the arrows. Currently using two three year old Elite bows. Excellent bows
ive been using the creed xs since 2014 but got a deal from a friend on the vxr 28 which is 4-5 years old this year and wow its deadly i cant believe how far they have came.
I've had plenty of used bows cheapest way to buy a flagship bow on a budget not everyone has to or can run out an buy the newest thing I actually have a escape as my backup bought new couple yrs old enjoy an good hunting
I always buy used bows, so i agree and unless money wasn't a concern ill probably never buy new unless its a close out or clearance. That bear looks awesome, in my head i was thinking it was definitely going to be an Elite or Darton for some reason, probably because of the video title 😂
You sold the omnia lol. Thats what I shoot and I can say it’s the best I have ever shot. That bear looks pretty sweet as well. Keep up the great content🤙🏼
I shoot 2018 Reign 7 and i shot my dads 2021 Realm X and my buddys 2022 Solution and my bow was faster than my dads 5 fps slower than my buddys and my draw was smoother than both which we didnt think that would be true and I shot a better groups at 50 plus. Your right their bows easier to tune but i culdnt believe my bow had a smoother draw all the way through. I pulled back the new Mach 33 and was almost as smooth and 15 fps faster than my bow. Im going to either buy the new bowtech long bow that comes out today or Mach 33 this bow will last another 10 years or more, Im keeping my Reign 7 forever after shooting other bows. YOU'RE RIGHT
Can’t go wrong with the classics! I’ve always wanted to try shooting a realm X. I think that was Bowtechs golden age around that time, they were dropping great bows
It's interesting. I'm new to bow purchasing but have been on the outside looking in. What you're describing is commercializing an industry. Prices are going to continue to increase barrier to entry will increase. It reminds me of the motorcycle industry i.e. harleu davidson etc. Like other comments above, I'll mention it, not political, but also not waiting for someone to come save me Biden or trump. Blaming someone is easy. And yes, I'll do the same for our next president. I don't need nor want a handout, but I'll be sure to make the best a situation.
Haha believe it or not the bidenomics was supposed to just be a passing joke, didn’t expect so many people to get upset about it! I hope you enjoy getting into archery, hopefully you keep coming back to the channel and enjoying the content! Who knows, I might be making a “donaldomics,” joke a few years from now
For the best price I’d look into local FB groups or word of mouth. I sell mine at scheels since it’s quick and easy but you don’t always get the best price
You're absolutely right. It seems to me that bows have reached the limit technically. And so, if you're buying a new flagship aluminum bow you're paying $1,400 to $1,500 for the bare bow. I came across a guy this summer who had a PSE EVO EVL 32 that he wanted to sell. I paid him $300 for the bow. He also had a PSE NXT 35 that he sold me for $300. I kept the 32 and gave the NXT to a buddy. With all the components I've got about $800 in my hunting rig, and it's a shooter. Just recently Mathews dropped their new Lift X line. Add in all their components and see what you're spending. $700 for their new sight. About $260 for their quiver. Same for the stabilizer. You could easily spend more than $3,000 for the Mathews rig. I didn't say it's not nice. Of course it is but these prices are getting insane.
Mathew's doesn't make a sight. UV isn't made by Matthews. Mathews are the lowest flagship price bows on the market. When considering the options and what your getting. Matthews price is under all other competitors. Matthews accessories are high priced.
@@Life-of-Bluegrass_Music Well, you're right. But the sight is made for Mathews, and it's $650 to $700. And I'm not saying Mathews is higher than everyone else. They're all expensive. Nor am I saying Mathews is not a great bow. They are awesome. I've owned several Mathews bows and liked them very much. My complaint is not necessarily about Mathews. Bows are going up through the roof. Just take a look at Hoyt's carbon bows this year. They are now over $2,000.
Hey bidennomics got me like I can’t even afford a back up bow lol 😂 recently back last year. Got me a new bow and it’s a bear legend XR and put new gas strings on it. New HHA sight with Easton axis 5mm arrows and that’s what I’ve been running since. The last bear bow I had. Lasted me 17 or 19 years. But I would really like a Matthews.Lift x But it’s probably not going to happen anytime soon.
It’s actually pretty quiet, having a mic right on my jacket makes the noise pretty deceptive especially with the pitch the bow makes with no string stops
Great video. But, let's be honest. You got that bow cheap because it's LH draw. I've only bought and shot used bows. Huge difference in price. And what's with that annoying click on your release? What deer isn't going to alert or bolt if I can hear it? I'm half deaf! You don't have to buy the latest and greatest. Be smart. Do your research. And practice. Use what feels good to you.
I get so sick of seeing TH-cam channel after channel building the “ lift” Mathew’s bows. It frigging ridiculous. I dang sure not wasting my time watching any channel building any bow. Sighting in, speed tests, user friendly things are more relevant. Something that would be way more interesting is REBUILDING one that someone totally ignorant screwed up. Showing what was wrong what fixed it would make better viewing IMO. ALMOST?,lol, anyone can put parts on a bow but fixing and tuning requires a little higher skill level.
I watched your videos up until your Biden comment. You should have left politics out of your video. Now, like many others who decided to get political. I will not watch, support, or spend my money to further there cause. You'll make excuses for trump when prices go up while he's in office. Done.
Seriously dude? Your welcome we the people who can think for ourselves and for the future of our children and nation showed up to elect our 45th and 47th president.
Yeah he really went way off on that political stance he was clearly shoving down your throat. 😂 I could only imagine how much fun you were to be around at all the Kamala rallies

I've only shot used bows. I like to buy them about 2 or 3 year old bows in good shape. There usually half the price and still shoot great.
Same here. Save some money. Eqipped and tuned right, it'll kill a deer. My old thrift store camo works fine too.
Current bow set up is a PSE Stinger 3G that i had shipped to me from California (I'm in Florida).... I have never owned a brand new or flag ship bow

The valley is shallow because that bow was a 75% let off bow but pretty fast though
ive been using the creed xs since 2014 but got a deal from a friend on the vxr 28 which is 4-5 years old this year and wow its deadly i cant believe how far they have came.
The Kuma was a fast bow. The draw was stiff and the lack of valley hurt it but it was quick for sure. Took on a few hunts when it came out.
Shot the KUMA. Definitely when Bear was trying to compete on the high end. I just couldn’t get comfortable with it. Definitely built well.
I've had plenty of used bows cheapest way to buy a flagship bow on a budget not everyone has to or can run out an buy the newest thing I actually have a escape as my backup bought new couple yrs old enjoy an good hunting
Still shooting a 2012 PSE revenge, getting a new one this spring finally, and keeping this one as a backup

The Bear Alaskan has been on my list for a while with the axle to axle length and newer models have the pic rail within the frame.
Well then you just might like a video I have cooking up here…but let’s keep that a secret 🤫
This was made as a speed bow by bear, with 75% let off. My buddy shoots this bow, has about ripped his arm off a few times lol
My used bow is a Elite energy 35 from 2017 and I love it
i love bear. i have the adapt and i love it.
It is only 75% let off and they have zero valley I shot a Kuma 30 for a season and that was my only gripe about it.

Nice video, good work
Thank you, You guys rock!

my current 1st bow is the bear elite
