I have the same problem. I'm getting read to change the drive belt. I also bought a new Carb thinking that might solve the problem. But now, from what you are saying, and one other person replied. I'm wondering if I can install like a choke cable to pump it. Mine starts up every time if you start it at least every other day. but let it sit for a week, start griding!
From what I've read, there is nothing attached to the accelerator pump. You have to take the cover off to access it to prime it on cold days or when its been sitting for a long time.

My muffler is loud too! Anyone know of and aftermarket for QUIET!
