my 06 Vinson is the same, have you found a solution.. I managed- after considerable swearing and effort to coax my belt back on but sheeeee-it there has to be a better way! cheers from Kenora Ontario
Hi I just changed my drive belt on my cf moto 520l At idle say in park or neutral both clutches were suppose to not spin. When you give it gas they start to spin but my secondary don't stop spinning Can someone explain to me whats suppose to happen?
Dear Arctic cat: please find a way to prevent the drive train from locking up when a belt breaks and wraps its' self around the secondary pulley. This happened to me a week and a half ago while traveling 75 km/h on pavement, the locked drive train caused me to go into a long sideways skid leading to a brief roll over which then resulted in a completely smashed dump box, bent to hell roof, sheared off bolts all over the roll cage, bruises, cuts, missed days of work, a trip to a massage therapist for treatment to help aid recovery. P.S. Don't bury serviceable components behind gas tanks, frame components, and under floor boards. I should never have to strip a machine to its' base frame just to inspect a drive belt. P.P.S if your engineers think this design is well thought out, maybe send them back to school... P.P.P.S feel free to send me a replacement dump box for the near loss of life ;) if not, I'll likely spend a few hundred building one out of steel and diamond pattern sheet metal shaped to look like the back of a Hummer with a pull out floor for picnics on the trail. (water and dust proof of course)
PPPPS Send some common sense before Darwin takes over. There is nowhere in an operating manual or instructions that say its ok to drive that fast on pavement. We had a guy killed a few years ago that the same thing happened. He rolled into a hydro poll
Dear AC service! Do you know any technical data about belts? Im searching for TGB BLADE 1000 atv alternative belt. Length 1020mm, width 32mm, height 17mm
Although i haven't had to change mine yet...I have heard there is not enough clearance on these units. You will probably chew up the new belt if you manage to squeeze it in with out removing the clutch.
Tool kit has the torx, 10mm+13mm wrenches. add vicegrips in your kit for the nut and bob's yer uncle. use a stick (2") to jam the clutch face from turning when removing the primary nut and to install nut. Have had the pleasure of this 50 miles in the bush. Will get U home, even without thelocktite-just drive it carefully so nut doesn't come off,
Do anybody knw if you really have to take the clutches off to put the new belt on. Can't you just use the screw to spread secondary belt and slide it off.
My Vinson doesn't have the threaded hole for opening the driven pulley up
Can't find a vid showing that particular machine

i am chaseing the driven pulley locking nut it came off chewed though theplasticcase
The tool to block the pulley is manufactured by you ????
Why pull the pulleys, just screw open the secondary clutch and switch the belt

Anybody now where I can buy that spanner wrench?
is the red loctite serious or did he f everyone over
So what happens when your blow a belt in the middle of no way and you don't have all the fancy tools ???

robert miller you dont have to remove any of them. You have enough room to work with
No need to remove the clutches, simply need a T-30 torx, 8mm and 13mm socket wrench:

Yes I have done it this way. More then enough room to work with.
Why so much locktite lmao
Trust me, if you don't the nuts come off. Don't ask me how I know.
