Collecting Roadside Firewood for Winter Supply - Felling, Bucking, and Splitting

- I need more firewood for winter, so I headed down to the road to drop a dead ash that was easy to get to. It will be great burning wood in a couple weeks. The tree was leaning towards the road, so it made sense to just drop it right across the road. After felling, I bucked and split into the back of the wood truck. Just a nice, relaxing night cutting firewood for video #95.

We need more forest cleanup and management This is the PERFECT way to limit forest fires. Great vid
I agree. I can't keep up with all the dead and dying wood. Between my property and the neighbor, there is over 110 acres. I only burn 8 cord a year, so I take the easy to get wood and that's plenty for me! Thanks for watching!
Not a bad score of firewood, and I guess it was peaceful with no one around too..
Absolutely. It was a nice night to cut some wood and enjoy the evening. Not a soul in sight. Thanks for watching!
Nice video. My basement is full of wood and the propane tank is full, bring on winter!
That's great! I'm pretty much ready as well. We won't get cold, that's for sure. But I'm still not going to stop cutting wood! Thanks for watching.
Very cool video my new friend
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!
Nice ♻️
Really enjoyed the video
I'm glad you did. Thanks for watching!
Hello from Piqua Ohio. I never turn down any wood even if it's along the roadside.
Absolutely! Easiest wood to get. Thanks for watching!
Really cool video Derrick !

Hope your all doing well
Thanks Tom! We will talk soon! We are all doing well. I hope you are doing well, too. Take care.
@@NorthForkHollow I'm good thanks... left you a voicemail last week and sent you a text too
@@delcasaleexcavating9508 I didn't get the voicemail. But I did get your text and replied back. We will have to chat soon.
Nice looking firewood . Is that the Ms 261 or the Ms 271 ?
What is that thing you are marking off the logs with?
It's called a Mingo Marker (amzn.to/37iwRfG). They work great for getting firewood the exact length every time. I actually have two of them, because I love them so much. Thanks for watching!
Is it legal in usa
I own the property where I was cutting, so yes, it is legal for me. Otherwise, on other roads, you would need the property owner's permission to cut tress along them. Thanks for watching!
Nicely done. Best to be working on next winters wood than this winters, no? We're starting out our channel so please check it out if you're into firewood!
For sure! Thanks for watching!
