Hmm. I can see it now; "Melissa's Potato Bar" in neon, over a 1950's style drive-in, perhaps along Route 66, with the waitresses on roller skates. OK, maybe no roller skates, but still... Potato dishes of all descriptions, made from all varieties of potatoes, plus healthy, nutritious recipes from around the world, but mostly potatoes.

The hardest thing to realise that me and my mom's psychic gifts are a result of demonic activity in our lives. The second I repented to God, my gifts were gone because they came from a demon/a family curse. I they'd been from God, I'd still had them.

Hello. I'm a returning believer, ex new ager. I have the gift of prophesy and God did the opposite with me. My God given ones are spot on but in my new age/divination days they were often inaccurate.
I'd encourage you to find all the bible verses about divination as a source of encouragement with this, and keep an eye out for verses that remind us that once full of the Holy Spirit, we never miss the old ways.
God is simply giving you a stern slap on the wrist as he is known to do when we sin. And we do make excuses and fight against God. As you discover bible verses that address your concerns you'll start to feel much better about where you are going. It's a wonderful relief knowing the bible literally has all the answers right under our noses. I hopethat encourages you.

Had the same spiritual rush as you when I first became a Christian, what's worse is that not only was conjuring spirits something that practised in my family, but it was apart of the culture I was born and raised in and cherry picking scripture was used very commonly used to justify these types of practices. Yes. 'African spirituality'. "This Christian stuff is a white man's religion - but this is who we are, we get knowledge from our ancestors and should we not consult them we loose our identity followed by a string of bad luck."
Funny thing is that's the whole point of the gospel: die to yourself and be made anew, i.e God takes away your identity because it came from your culture and traditions - not Him. You're His now and He needs no 'partners' for He doesn't dwell with darkness. 🙏

I was a tarot reader in a busy bookstore in LA, I have seen some of the most narcissistic people who have been pumped up into believing that they’re super important based on whatever they were in a past life or whatever supernatural gifts they feel that they posses. I do believe that new age is the devil at his old game - mimicry. Taking all the things of God but taking God out of it. My pastor says ‘spiritually anemic’. Many Christians are also in a place where they don’t even know why Jesus died on the cross and what He lived to teach. Not only how to behave on Earth but how to heal and cast out demons! There’s churches that completely ignore that - and who do we think benefits from that? You do know that the devil wants the earth as His kingdom (khazarian mafia ‘new world order’ aka communism is their politics and Baal worship is their religion). All spirituality that makes us the saviors and ignores the Devine Book is a tool to keep Gods warriors asleep and self worshipping. There’s plenty of witches and warlocks that feed off of our fear & “lack of knowledge”👈Jesus said that’s the way His people would fail is from lack of knowledge. And that’s why it is super important to get the information out and show people how to find the real knowledge and power. A body without the Holy Spirit is a sad one ..all people must gain that power in order to really thrive on this Earth and beyond. Thanks to you, I’m too shy yet as a baby Christian and just soaking up the gospels with the plan to one day do something to help and give back. Still healing and raising lots of children who were also affected by my dances with the devils

Also an ex-New Ager here. Some points that I emphasized more in my occultic walk:
    1) Love is the ultimate virtue and any limits placed on it are “low vibration”.
    2) “Christianity is not a religion, it’s a relationship.” I’d love to see you make a video on just this, because this aphorism needs to be put to bed forever, and your humor is a wonderful vehicle for it.
    3) piggybacking on number 1, fear and shame are the lowest vibrations.
    4) Sin doesn’t exist or is just defined arbitrarily.
    5) That I am special.

Isn't it a relationship, though? God is the Father, and we are the child, i.e. he's in charge, we are to obey Him, and he knows what's best for us. That's a relationship. Not sure how one excludes the other?

      @borisvandruff7532 ปีที่แล้ว

@@nikkilengyel But the problem with saying “not a religion” makes it sound like God expects nothing of His children, and what kind of relationship do they mean?

Oh, wow! I had the same experience with a plant moving when in my teens. We lived in a particular house where lights would come on, things would move, my mom and I both had "sleep paralysis" often. One weekend my parents went camping and I was sitting on the floor playing video games in front of the tv. A plant next to the entertainment center started shaking. I don't think I ever moved so fast. My brother was witness to it. I was so glad when we finally moved, and blessed whatever was there didn't follow.

Wow! just came across this video while scrolling through TH-cam. You talk about my life, my spiritual journey. Especially the Law of Attraction, I fell really hard for that one.

I'm super glad you shared a story about the paranormal activity. I don't hear about those experiences often (through a Biblical lense). I'm curious what becoming free of them looked like for other believers.

Plus your face when you said "you're judging me right now" man you're hilarious. Keep doing the good work in the Spirit! Alleluia!

You are precious, Melissa!! I SO love your heart, your honesty and your cute, cute humor! I wanna add that I think it’s the Lord’s great, unfathomable MERCY that removes the scales & reveals the lies… He, in His sweet mercy, draws us so perfectly away from the very-loud worldviews. It’s only His mercy that moves us onto His narrow road… not easier, but boy the inner peace and joy makes it so much better!
Keep on, sister!! You’re being used so beautifully to lead others toward truth and freedom!

One thing that drives me up the wall is when people say things like "Thats not the Jesus *I* know and love.." especially when it comes to trying to correct bad behaviors on people who are sinning! People act like Jesus never told people off. He may sit with sinners but he didn't become one of them or encourage their bad behaviors.
