These pattern companies have been thru So Much the last couple of years. I'm glad they even have a collection to present. I wish them well.
For sure. I don’t think anyone is hoping for their demise.
Loved this!! That « sheet » dress was just wow 🤣 I agree with most of your A patterns and I think for someone with a smaller pattern collection, some of the B patterns would be good wardrobe builders. I don’t sew Vogue patterns because most of them wouldn’t fit me, but I enjoy some of their styles. Happy Sunday! 💞
I agree, there are some good wardrobe builders. Thanks for pointing that out. The bed sheet look should have never made it to the collection tho
I loved the wrap dress and boucle pant suit. These would be the only 2 patterns I'd go out to buy.
I could see you on that suit pattern for sure
I so LOVE your rating system LOL🤣
Let's accentuate our double trouble spots on our body with top /down ruffle layers ...➡ Said no one EVER!!! LOL🤣
Thanks! Those ruffles were really something
That was fun, good video. I would add a F category for frumpy.
😂😂😂😊😂 not a bad idea
I enjoy your rating videos. I think I agreed with you and most of your selections especially those puffy sleeves, added on as an afterthought. Thank you for creating these videos.
Wanna kill a nice dress? Just add huge puffy sleeves. I really do have fun making these videos
Grandama wants her curtains back!😂😂😂
Seriously! I bet they’d look fabulous on her windows
A wide array of looks for spring, thought provoking for sure❤
Sure is!
Love your spicy takes 😂 Actually spit out my water with the line drawings for that bedsheet dress. What jokes. The peplum jacket over the big skirt was giving too much Edwardian vibes for me.
I seriously can’t believe they thought it was a good idea to give us that bed sheet look. And yes! Very Edwardian
Omg loved the grandma curtains. Practical stitches was just saying you were going to do a review which I'm always excited to see.
I bet the curtains were fabulous. Made up in that pattern 😳
Vogue 2004 reminds me of a Zimmermann dress ❤❤
I feel Vogue is pretty good at giving us designer dupes
Just shows you how people have different tastes because I didn't think there was a pretty dress but I did like a few of the suits and the jackets
So true! I think that’s why this release was so big. They’ve got a lot of people to appeal to
I just ran across your channel. Funny girl!❤😂
Thanks!!!
Oh Girl😅😅😅 you are on point. I can't do wrap dresses😅.
That ruffle top???? Ahhh No!
Maybe u should’ve dropped it a rating. 🥸
I love watching your rating videos, Mari.
BTW apparently the peplum, suits, and pads are back
Not the peplum! Ewwwww
@@MariSews not all peplum are bad :D
Did you know that this year is the 50th anniversary of the DVF wrap dress? That's why she's launching the pattern with Vogue. Here's an article if you're interested - www.elle.com/fashion/celebrity-style/a46574628/diane-von-furstenberg-wrap-dress-50th-anniversary-interview/
That ruffle top - 😩When did a skirt and top start being called a two piece dress? That's hysterical! Nothing caught my eye this time. Although I did like the wrap dress.
I did know it’s the 50th anniversary. So exciting. And the two piece dress must be a joke. Like how dumb do they think we are
Once again, I loved this video. I agreed with all your decisions .... except .... for the mens jacking which I would rate as a D. Other than that, we are in total agreement.
But just imagine it in denim 😂😂😂 I respect the D tho
This all feels like Vogue got scared and decided to design a collection for my 70-year-old mother to get all nostalgic over.
Bwahaha! Best comment ever
I'll be 70 this year and I won't be buying any of these patterns. V2004 I had that dress in 1976! ☹️
@susanpilling8849 oh. You were stylin’
I want to sew v2005. I like that style.
Hope you post a pic. I’d love to see it made up in A nicer fabric
V2004 could be too Pollyanna with the wrong fabric choice. The red/pink dress would be pretty without the sleeves-better as sleeveless. 2008-that's so similar to the one you made with Ankara!😂 The blouse with the pleats! Love❤❤
I agree with all of this! You know that brown fabric they used in the Beverly Hillbilly dress. That would easily make it look Pollyanna
I agree!@@MariSews
I think the only one I would buy would be Vogue 2012 the blouse
That was a good one. The small details in that button down make it special
V2012 blouse detail is a flange. Pretty interesting. I agree amazing! I picked up V1952 that is very similar to the DVF dress wrap. I'm might pick up DVF later after I sew up V1952. I love the lace detail in the V2004. Too many ruffles in V2011. V2021 NO THANKS. All the rest Meh!
A Flange! I’ve never heard that term. Thanks for letting me know! I’ve heard that V1952 is similar. Minor difference is that the belt isn’t attached. Maybe you need to add tiers of ruffles to your wrap dress. 😂😂
I had a ruffled neckline blouse in 5th grade and I look at those photos and I think ewh! 😂
Me too!
2021 - TOGA! TOGA!!
😂😂😂
You know, I’ve never liked wrap dresses for myself because they never fit right but, like you said, that’s why we sew, right. I’ll get that wrap dress pattern and try it. I really like it. But that ruffle blouse? Never!
Oh, I think you definitely need a ruffle blouse 😂
@@MariSews 🤣
Oh my! I don’t get vintage. Where would you wear it? It looks like a costume. I didn’t find anything that would make me want to rush out and drop $25 + to buy.
I wondered that as well until I went to DC Frocktails today and saw a bunch of vintage looks. They were cute
@@MariSews what is DC frocktails. These styles from the 50’s were worn by my mom’s generation and remind me of the restrictive lives of women of that generation.
@@annewhitney8809 it’s a basically a party where sewists wear their handmade looks and party all night long
Leave the ruffle out of the collar band
Good suggestion
I agree with you about everything except for that ruffle disaster. That thing was ridiculous looking.
Yeah, everyone seems to really dislike that one. Perhaps I should have rated it lower
I think those ruffled blouses could go down a notch into disaster or even ugly.
So many people agree with you! I’m seriously questioning my c rating on that one.
😂
😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Love your review 😂😂😂.
But to be honest, they did V2009 dirty : those fabric choices are just tragic 😅. Red and pink!? Are we 14?
Would still look cute in a solid with maybe some sheer sleeves.
Anyway, thanks for the laughs.
Ha! Think you nailed it. It’s the fabric choice!
I don agree with you😂 at all.
😂 fair enough
