I just found out that the grave at 14:26 belongs to "Francis Marion "Shady" Myrick" the Godfather of Rockhounding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He used to travel from Johannesburg to Death Valley, that's 100 miles!!! in the early 1900's!!!! with 2 burros!
Shady Myrick is an ancestor of mine. I visited the grave last October. He wasn't Shady as one would think by his name. A mineral is named after him...Myrickite I believe. Great little bar there, The Joint. Thanks for the video.
Oh man that's awesome. I spent a few hours reading up on him. I remember coming across the grave and just thinking it was definitely a special one. I didn't read the name or anything until I got home and put the video together. Thanks for checking it out :)

You're awesome for pointing that out! There's a lot going on there on that contraption. the whoozy whatzzey and the chingadera... All jokes aside, this video is less than half of what I really saw. Unforgettable. Lost in time, but still alive.
Absolutely! Yeah we should dig sometime, I might get a chance to hit Azusa this weekend. I usually hike in Friday nights so I get a parking spot lol. Let me know next time you're up there! I sent you an email too, might have hit your spam cause the links....
