Is that Captain Jerry! I fished with that man a ton on the Gulfstar. He's one hell of a Captain and always put you on the fish! great video gents I can't wait to do a trip on the American Patriot.
Great video! Hope to do a trip on the AP sometime, if they ever clear up their legal mess. Not going to risk a no-refund fare on a trip that won’t happen.
Wow, seems like a great trip! Getting ready for my first slow pitch trip out of Galveston this Sunday. I hope to maybe catch a spring trip with Y'all in the spring. Love the instruction keep the videos coming and keep your hands away from the hooks! Thanks guys? PS Where's Will?
You guys make it look so easy. lol But that really looks like it was a fabulous trip. Thank you for sharing it with your followers. What model Daiwa electric reel was you using. And was you using the jigging mod (if it has one) or manual jigging
@@JohnnyJigsTV Awesome thanks ! Would this handle large goldens up to 50lbs? Or for say I hook into a 35lb yellowfin? Also what is the manual crank on this how many inches per crank?
He hooked up on the pulpit in the background towards the beginning, I was hoping to see what he landed, but it got skipped. Show more Will catches guys! 😁😂

Thanks Kevin!! That is a Daiwa Seaborg 300. I haven't messed with the jigging mode much.
What was that battery pack on a shoulder strap for the electric reel? That looks so much better than dragging around a 12 volt deep cycle.
I attached a link johnnyjigs.com/products/super-lithium-battery-dn1700-ns-with-shoulder-case-strap-charger?_pos=1&_sid=36ed3c57b&_ss=r
What electric reels are you guys using? Looking to get an electric slow pitch set up for here in the NE !
That is a johnnyjigs.com/products/daiwa-seaborg-300mj-electric-reel
They should be back in stock this week.
@@JohnnyJigsTV Awesome thanks ! Would this handle large goldens up to 50lbs? Or for say I hook into a 35lb yellowfin? Also what is the manual crank on this how many inches per crank?
28" per crank. Definitely will handle a big Golden Tilefish
Johnny, which rod are you using?
That is the JohnnyJigs SJ Railer
@@JohnnyJigsTV is that the one that you are using with the electric reel?
Yes it is...If you call the shop we are taking pre orders
What is the rod in the thumbnail?
That is our SJ Railer.
My son used some of your jigs the other night with great success. Thanks Johnny Jigs. Ps those hooks are so sharp and sneaky it's not even funny.
I can confirm the JJ assist hooks are very sharp......starting at 9:33 of this video ....:)
@@robertvaughan2364 and sneaky🤣🤣🤣they get you when you least expect it.
Johnny tell me about the hooks you were using when you caught that snowy. They look longer than usual
Nothing new. I tied them myself on the way out. 5/0 jj hooks spliced with hollow core line.
Another sick start to what i am sure was a great trip. Any plans on coming back out west anytime soon?
Hey Brian...May next year..
@@JohnnyJigsTV sweet as soon as you get dates I’m in for sure!
