  • I got to spend the day with edgy campus preacher Sister Cindy Smock and watch her preach on campus. What I witnessed was WILD! She turned heads with her 'colorful' approach evangelism. Brace yourself for fiery preaching, margaritas songs, lively crowds and a H0.NoMo REVOLUTION!

I have never heard of Sister Cindy but I really like what I saw from this video. I am pretty sure if I had heard her preaching in college I would have turned back to the Lord sooner. I can see how the students relate to her and are entertained by her preaching yet also opening their heart. Praise God!

You know what's so crazy? Jesus saved my life in a car accident in 2021 and after that happened I started going to this amazing church and reading the bible every day, then when I was back home in Gainesville, FL visiting my family and feeling so down one day and I went for a walk to UF campus because I also went to school there just like Sister Cindy, I thought I would go for a walk down memory lane and then I saw her preaching in front of library west! Then Sister Cindy needed to take a break and she asked if someone could hold the mic for her and I raised my hand and she picked me!!! Then I got to share my testimony and it was my first evangelist experience EVER! Glory to God for such a beautiful supernatural set up!!! So glad I got to meet Sister Cindy before I even knew about her at all. xoxo In Jesus Name!!!

Jesus didn’t save you dear. The doctors and nurses did. I say this as someone who also was in a car accident in 2021 and who could have died because of it and was not a believer before during or after my accident.

I’m seriously in shock over this episode. I did not expect to find such common ground with her in the end! Based on her tik tok clips, I really thought it would be nearly impossible to justify why she says and does the things she does. I also expected her to compromise biblical truth to push a “you’re all going to hell” narrative. Or that she was just out there making a mockery of Christians. What a beautiful surprise the way the end of her message was all rooted in Biblical truth and there were some people saying they truly wanted to change because of her and pick up a Bible moving forward. I saw a soft heart in Sister Cindy and a loving, gentle, accepting spirit toward sinners that completely caught me off guard. I’m just shook by this, in the best way. I wouldn’t say the vulgar things she says, yet Gen Z has a huge desire to listen to her. Just wild!!!!!! Thank you guys for this beautiful episode! WOW! -Sidney

Thanks for your testimony, you explained, from a student’s point of view, how what Sister Cindy says leads, challenges and gets students thinking about what they are really looking for…real love, the love of the Lord, that FREES us from sin and changes us from self gratification to loving others and especially the Lord. God’s love fills our “love holes” in our lives because He is LOVE❤, He wants the best for us, just like I want for each of my children, as a parent. He is our Father and loves us so deeply, it is killing Him to see His children ruin their lives. Actually it already KILLED Him, but God raised Jesus from the dead and conquered death AND sin❤️ PTL!
God bless you for speaking out and I will be praying for you!

What a great video! Jed & Cindy's campus ministry has been going on since the late 1970's. When I saw them at Iowa State they were drawing a big crowd and getting critical articles about Jed in the campus newspaper. He had shocking 1-liners. Just a couple years ago I heard they were coming to UNO Lincoln so I found them with a crowd around them. They let me preach for a few minutes, and Cindy took my picture preaching, which I proudly use as my Facebook profile.

Not gonna lie, this is the first 24hrs I’ve watched all the way through…I dig her! I heard some shock and awe, but it wasn’t a fire and brimstone message. There was the true gospel, a call to repentance, and a genuine love for the students instead of the hateful condemnation most street preachers portray. She’s calling out the god of self and sex that most college students worship. Her humor & language is a publicity shtick, obviously, but it’s not for us. I’m generally very modest (prude) but I’m not offended 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

She's got these students actually listening to her and from what I've seen so far it seems like what she's telling them is the genuine gospel. That's really refreshing. I didn't think I would be impressed by her, but I honestly am.
Not surprised to see people identifying as Christians criticizing her while other people are responding positively to a life-changing message. "I'm a Christian, and that Christian is too judgemental and making us look bad" is kind of a cliché at this point.

    • @owlintrenchcoat
      @owlintrenchcoat 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I keep seeing Christians saying this is turning more people away than converting them. Respectfully, I see in her videos people actually engaging with and being moved by Jesus' message. Many people judging her (myself included, I fail at this too) can maybe count on one hand the number of people they have really worked to evangelize. Most of us have not done well at our task to win over souls, but we're quick to cut down a woman who we can see is having success at at least planting a seed in these people who might otherwise not have heard it. I'm not saying there should be no boundaries for evangelization and we should never criticize people's tactics. But saying she's not doing pretty well for herself in actually getting people to listen and that even just a few of those people coming to believe might be doing more harm than if she had done nothing and left them all in the dark is just kind of ridiculous.

As a formal student from Long Beach State I remember sister Cindy and her late husband brother Jed preaching at my campus. At the time I was critical against your usual campus preachers because usually when campus preachers come to college campuses and universities to preach most campus preachers intend to emphasize the Hell fire type of preaching.
Brother Jed and sister Cindy were different because brother Jed and sister Cindy were good story tellers. This isn’t to say that I agree with sister Cindy’s theology because I’m Roman Catholic however I do agree with her main message which is the Gospel message. I should include that I support sister Cindy’s right to free speech even if it’s offensive to people. Sister Cindy has inspired me to preach on college campuses including my formal campus Long Beach State.

Cindy, Jed, and Max were regularly preaching on campus at Indiana University in the early 80s. At that time, it was heavy hell-fire and brimstone--and very entertaining, holding our attention. My grandfather was a preacher/evangelist cut from the same cloth. I felt they were over the top, as he was, but filtered that out and found the gospel. When a more compassionate preacher, Bin Soto, came to campus, I was primed by the Scriptures heard from those three faithful. Much love and thanks to them, and God bless Cindy as she continues to love our youth. ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏

They’re mocking her lol the fact that so many Christians don’t pick up on that shows how out of touch with reality so many of you are. Her “following” on campuses is subversive . They cheer because the things she says are absurd and she tries too hard to be a “cool Christian”. It’s all one big joke. Again, crazy so many of you don’t pick up on that. Arguing with her would be like arguing with a homeless man yelling about the government controlling the weather…a fool’s errand.

It might be the most controversial for some, but for me this was the least controversial😄 I agreed with almost everything she had to say. She's preaching the gospel and reaching them where they're hurting. It's such a good tactic to first show the lost that they are sinners in need of a Savior by holding them up against the law, like a mirror. I think she does that well. I also think she's might be doing a good job at making being a virgin "cool". (which is weird to say, but I think you get what I mean) So much in our culture, especially on college campuses (where kids leave the guidance and authority of their parents and go off on their own), you're almost looked down upon for being a virgin, and I think she might be turning that around.
This is my first time hearing of her/hearing her speak, so I can't say I agree with everything or her tactics. I'd like to think and ponder on that some more. But she had a lot of great things to say, and she's obviously awakening people's consciences and bringing people to Christ, so that's awesome!

I love what the student in the blue collared shirt said, it's so true, you have to recognize the audience she is trying to reach. God has placed her to reach a certain audience in a certain way and even when we don't understand exactly what God is doing in other people's lives, we have to trust. "Trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding."

Christians should not be offended by Sister Cindy. Most churches shy away from teaching Gods Truth. They want to sugar coat and water down the gospel. They skip scripture so they don’t offend anyone. It all comes down to the tithing envelopes. Tell them the truth and if they don’t want to hear it dust off your sandals and move on. But plant the seed because we are all given a free will and a conscience. We choose. Keep up the Great work Sister Cindy this is why I support your Campus Ministry.💯🙏

Ok I'll admit... I was so put off by the language in the trailer, that I was almost tempted not to give this a go at all. And while I don't agree with all of Cindy's methods, I really see her heart is very genuine. She does really care for the lost, and certainly is not a troll, and does look to the Word. I'm glad I gave this a go :) I have a feeling who your next progressive guest might be, and while I'm not sure I could ever change my mind..based on this video.. I'm not sure!😅

This right here is why I don’t love social media and like to not follow too closely to what everyone says. I never heard of this lady but from the sound of it I thought she was going to be waaaaaAAAy worst. Sister Cindy wasn’t. Although I don’t like that some kids are jeering and there to just laugh, she preached outside, most Christian won’t and will not do that. And second she got people to actually give their life to serve God. A lot of youngins are tired and she got them real good at the end when she got serious and started talking about Jesus’ sacrifice and willing to help us in this life. I remember when I was young I hated God and not a random god that I didn’t know existed no THE GOD I had grown up in Church with and somehow my heart softened one day while going to church which I would only go bc it was a refuge from being at home and a change of environment. So hearing a preacher this one day talk about hell with a sprinkle of grace that day it just hit. I was angry at God for horrible things happening in my life and somehow a preacher talking about hell got me to turn my life to Christ. I believe God can do anything through anybody whether they are sincere or not and this just again proves it to me. Thanks for making this video. I also got very emotional when those youngins went up for the “altar call”. ✨

I am about halfway through so I might get my answer, but does she do alter calls? Like at the end I feel would be such a great time to be like " if any of this resonates with you and you want to start over with a life in christ and be a 'ho no mo' come down and we will pray together" type thing. If that is the ending to her preaching then I'm all for this.

I have never heard of her before and the first clip kinda shocked me but the more I heard her preach the more I understood why she is doing what she is doing. She shared so much of God’s word and so many scriptures that I think people need to hear when sharing the gospel that I honestly feel like I haven’t heard people preach enough. Repentance is so important to understand and why it is necessary. It reminds of the scripture that says “I have become all things to all men, so that some may be saved.” 1 Corinthians 9:22 I used to go to bars to witness to people about Jesus and share the gospel. I don’t drink alcohol anymore but I usually get sparkling water. I will even go to karaoke nights and sing worship songs and share a short testimony and preach a bit…it is amazing to feel the presence of the Holy Spirit come into a bar of all places and interesting how some people will manifest demons as well. I had a woman come up to me crying one night thanking me and I asked her if she would like prayer and she said she didn’t want to struggle with alcohol anymore. Sister Cindy has definitely been called for such a time as this. I love her boldness but I personally wouldn’t use some of the language that she uses because I used to be very lewd and vulgar and that is just not me anymore. But she is obviously reaching people and I know times have changed and they are actually listening and being engaged and she is planting seeds of truth. I was getting emotional watching as well and got teary eyed and had a big smile on my face. God is using her and God’s word never returns back void. The harvest is plenty but the laborers are few. Shalom and God Bless Y’all.

The student in the interview at 10:35 was dumbfounded how a "Christian" could effectively evangelize while cussing. Paul, you did a great job editing an R rated performance into a PG-13 documentary. Titus 2:7-8 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, 8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. Maybe people are only used to a soft way of calling out sin and sharing the gospel that when they hear someone say it like it is and call out sin in the way she does it penetrates them deeper- it’s more shocking. Like she said, in Ezekiel God uses some very blatant language to show the Israelites their sin- the weight of it- how horrible it really was. Could it be that people are used to a washed down, soft approach to calling out sin? Even John the Baptist for example, he called out Herod’s sin and got put in jail for it and eventually beheaded. Maybe we should be out right and honest about the weight of our sin. If people don’t know the weight of their sin they won’t call out to Jesus for saving.
