- Did you know that INTERLAKEN is derived from Latin and means 'between lakes'? In this video we will explore what to do on Lake Brienz and Lake Thun - the two lakes around Interlaken, Switzerland. We will discover miraculous waterfalls like the Giessbach, cruise on boats, explore caves like St Beatus, and stroll through villages like Iseltwald, Brienz, and Thun

This video is so well-organized and informative! We’re visiting in two weeks, and your tips will be a huge help. Thanks for sharing!
Could you make a video about the best things to do with kids? Thanks 😊
Brienz and Thun are amazing
Gosh we need to visit more places in Switzerland
I am a regular visitor to Switzerland. I would absolutely agree with everything you said in this video. Some supplementary remarks. Avoid the crowds at Iseltwald by going EARLY in the morning. iNTERRAIL passes do not give free travel on buses, mountain ralways or cable cars, But, as an exception to the normal rule, Interrail passes do give free travel on the Brienzersee and Thunersee boats. This exception is explained by the fact that the boats on these two lakes are owned by the BLS railway. If you want to explore the whole of Switzerland from just one base using a Swiss Travel Pass, Interlaken, on a branch line from Spiez, is NOT a good idea. But Spiez itself,on the BLS main line, might be feasible,
We just binge watched your channel and we have so much more to go! Your videos are by far one of the most pleasant ones to watch. Thank you very much for all the efforts in putting them together (so details and accurate). You are also both such a pleasure to watch and to listen to. We are rooting for the continuation of your channel's success and for you all as a family.
Thank you for your very kind message! I'm so glad that the videos are helpful
Thanks
Thank you for your support! Enjoy Switzerland!

Please can you make a video of Vallis, please 🙏
Hi, love your videos. Thank you!
Is it too rushed if we visit both lakes the same day?
Do you think that it would be feasible to do sightseeing on both lakes from a base in Spiez? We plan on staying there for a few nights. Thanks, love your videos.
Spiez is only 24 minutes from Interlaken Ost. The Brienz lake boats, the trains to Brienz and Luzern, and the trains to Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen all go from Interlaken Ost, The big plus for Spiez is that it is on the main line from Bern to Brig. (The Berner Oberland Pass is valid to Bern, and to Brig using the old line via Kandersteg.)
Could you guys talk about safety in Switzerland. Especially solo travelers
Can we do these activities with Jungfrao travel pass?
Hello. We are planning to go in October. Is October still a good time to do the boat ride?
Where can I find the time table for boats as it is not covered in sbb
does eurail also cover a free ferries ride in both lake?
In my main comment I posted on this video I wrote 'iNTERRAIL passes do not give free travel on buses, mountain ralways or cable cars, But, as an exception to the normal rule, Interrail passes do give free travel on the Brienzersee and Thunersee boats. This exception is explained by the fact that the boats on these two lakes are owned by the BLS railway.' I BELIEVE that what I said about Interrail also applies to Eurail passes, BUT I AM NOT SURE. So if you want to go on the Brienz or Thun boats go to the booking office and ask, 'Is this Eurail pass valid on the boat'.
I'm stuck..
Rain this whole week... can't do any activity, even on lakes...what do u suggest
Go to historic cities. Berne, Lucerne and Thun can all be reached for free if you have a Berner Oberland Pass. Fribourg is another gem, but you would have to pay for the Berne-Fribourg section of the journey.
@@Fan652w thanks 🙏
Mam is your household income 150k swiss francs a year in Switzerland? Plz reply. Thanks a lot.
That’s not something you should ask anyone because it’s none of your business
